Thanks very much, I had a really good time shooting these images. I had been waiting for quite a while for the right conditions to create some hi-key wildlife pictures.
Wow - I love this - pictures are magical - I really liked the ones which looked like drawings. My favourite is the portrait shot of the swan’s head and neck. And the very high key gulls. Made me feel cold watching you !
Thanks very much Tracey, yah it was really nice photographing a common subject in a slightly different way. Was so cold though, didn't help forgetting my gloves. So worth it though, felt like proper wildlife photography.
Thanks very much Eddiek, yep I really enjoyed taking a different approach to a common subject. Sitting in a cold car photographing Fieldfairs and Redwings at the moment. Cheers Steve.
Thanks very much Keith, I really enjoyed going for a hi-key approach for those common subjects. So cold though but very worthwhile. Sitting in a cold car photographing Fieldfairs and Redwings at the moment. Cheers Steve.
Good video again Steve and it's always good to get a different view of our common birds. I like the shot at 8:13 of the Turnstone with two BH Gulls (one nearly into it's Winter plumage) A quick tip, always keep a spare pair of gloves in the car :-) Stay safe mate.
Thanks very much Steve, yep big mistake no gloves. Well worth getting cold for though. I really enjoyed shooting common birds in a slightly different way. Been wanting to shoot some hi-key wildlife images for a while. Cheers Steve.

Nice shots! Wish I had some snow down here in the South-West to work with, but just rain instead... Really like the Swan at 6:37, reminds me of some shots I took years back in Iceland. Shows you don't always have to travel 👍
Thanks very much Alex, yes it was great to have some of the white stuff. We don't get snow in Essex very often so I definitely wanted to make the most of it. It's nice to be able to shoot locally especially at the moment. Thanks for watching, all the best Steve.
Thanks very much Barry, yeah really enjoyed photographing these common birds in a different way. Worth getting cold for, although I'm out in the cold so much these days I'm sort of getting used to it. Using my car as a hide to photograph Fieldfairs and Redwings at the moment. Cheers Steve.
Cheers Mark, yep it was freezing but so worth getting out. Forgetting my gloves didn't help but I've been waiting to shoot some hi- key wildlife images for ages. Just needed the snow which as you know we don't get too often.
