The main reason I bought a Gladiator is because I can take off the roof and doors. I do wish it had a better engine, the 3.6 is just adequate for the job. The Hurricane TT-6 would be a great option for this truck, even if the detuned it a bit.
I got my trd pro 4 runner for 67000 msrp no mark ups. There are dealers that will not mark up you just have to find the right one. Love the colour of this jeep.
Also, you missed the hydrolic jounce stops in the front. I didnt see a ditch crossing the trail at 50 mph- i think I hit it at 40 mph and landed the otherside without feeling like I crashed. Fun fun fun!
Great jeep, but I had no idea the Mojave comes with the Fox 2.5 shocks. Those suckers are about $1500 (American) per _corner_ so if you ever want to replace them you'll be paying a pretty penny.
I literally just bought one Sunday (it’s Tuesday) and I can tell you that if you looked around, dealers are giving tons on incentives on the 23’s on the lots. Not all dealers but I had 3 within 90 miles of me giving anywhere from 13k-11k off sticker. I wouldn’t buy one for 58k+, but 46k…….that becomes wildly easy. Jeeps hold their value like almost no other (wranglers, specifically, and these should be no different).
All my dealers in CA gave the "15k off incentive" and then added a "20k markup" that they said was going to be in place either way. So that is why we have lots full of them for over 400 days. Shame cause the Mojave seems fun for the desert trails.
I got mine at Ourisman Jeep in Alexandria VA just outside D.C.. the other dealers that game away tons of incentives for me (in June albeit, but they generally run the same way all the time) are Buchanan Autompark in Waynesboro PA, and Culpepper Jeep Chrysler in Culpepper VA. The latter I walked away from because, I was upfront with my payment and everything and they came to $15 a month more (of course). The difference in moment was $1k, I was willing to meet them halfway, and they wouldn’t budge. They don’t play games, but their deal is their deal. No movement. The other two are willing to make shit happen. Good luck.
I have a Mojave , didn't get it for offroading, but for the confort ride it gives vs a Rubicon, I will probably not do major off roading like Isee in some youtubers chanels, but I know that if i do so the Mojave have the capacity to follow and more, I find the Mojave less stiff on the road than other editions, I road tested an Overlander and a Rubicon, they are very different from each other, but the best ride was on in the Mojave, the one I test drove add 17 kms on it and still on Shipping Mode, thats the one I bought. it have allthe bells and wistles exept for the sunrider top and the bluetooth speaker, was listed 79k isssh, and got it taxes in 81k issk with all the rebates. It's a 2023 and the best time to get them is always just before the new ones come out, it came as a surprise for us to get a Gladiator, it was our little teenagers dream to get one Jeep CJ5 one day. I was shopping for a Mustang Bullit at first, then got side tracked by an Audi RS5, than when to a Jeep dealeship that had an Audi, walk into the show room after looking at it, and there it was, a black Gladiator Willy's on steroids, we just travelled back in time and forgot about the Stang and Audi. And well here we are with a Jeep Gladiator Mojave and we dont have any regrets at all. If theres something we wouldn't go back on our decision.
Came from a 2018 ZR2 to a 2022 Mojave and I agree, the Mojave is soooo much better. I thought I'd miss the front locker but the traction control works perfectly and I haven't needed it, yet.
I’d rather have the awesome suspension, steel knuckles and reinforced frame over a locker and sway bar disconnect I can easily add later. The only thing I wish I had from the rubicon is the cool hood lol.
The Gladiators (both Rubi and Mojave) need the Extreme Recon or "X" package which includes upgraded rear axle, 35's, 4.56 gearing, steel bumpers, etc. A 4xE engine option could be added in 2024 instead of waiting until 2025. Jeep, make it happen!
I hope we also see the Willys version come with a rear locker like they're doing on the 24 Wranglers. I think for most people having the Jeep 4x4 system and great off road angles + a rear locker is gonna handle like 95% of what the average user will encounter.
I love my Mojave. Are there better, faster less expensive mid sizers out there? Sure! But they cant flip the top, go full air, remove the doors, back glass and front (if you wanted to). Still drives like a Jeep though. On the colour I'm not a fan of the Yellow. My personal fav which is what I have is the Sarge Green. My one complaint though and it wasn't brought up in the video is I feel it needs some more power. She's a heavy midsizer. and some HP and Torque would be a wonderful addition. Who knows maybe will see the Hurricane Engine in the near future or something hybrid to kick up those numbers.
yeah I wouldn't sell my 21 Mojave. Best riding truck I have owned. Very versatile. I put the BF Goodrich All terrains on for the summer and the Falcons roll in the winter. With the all terrains you can drive three states and it won't beat you to death and is quiet. I agree with the other opinions on here, it sorely needs the 5.7 hemi. yeah its expensive, but you have real axels. real frames and a real transmission. Those ZF 8 speed transmissions are horses ! well built. I don't know what ferd or chewy is using. The only thing comparable is Aisin transmission in a toyota. Nissan has that Jatco CVT carp, and is not even in the game anymore.. I don't beat the hell out of mine like they did in the video. Thats asking from trouble. but they didn't buy it. Keep the salt off of them and they will last. chuck
Chev uses the very capable 8L90 and Ford use a joint venture same transmission (could be the 10 speed but same as 8L90 with 2 more gears). They are good transmissions.
Love the Mojave hate the color especially with no black roof or fenders to break it up I saw a 392 wrangler at the dealer in that color and I hate to say it as much as I love the 392 I don't think I would have bought it the hemi can't overcome the color
I like this Mojave, in this color as well. I got a '22 Rubicon that was on the lot. Silver. I was impartial to Mojave or Rubicon. Nice truck, good video. Thank you Elmer team.
I'm a big Jeep fan and wasn't taking to the gladiator when it came out but after 3 Jeeps and always wanting a pickup for the bed ..with this performance?? Its a win win..the price tag sucks but ...
The Mojave is a desert runner as it is not a mud or rocky off-road truck use. The Rubicon is more suited for the rough off-road to challenge the Chevy ZR2. Yet, I am in awe on the Mojave's off-road capabilities in the water and muddy areas.
A 5.7L HEMI, 2 less doors and a longer bed....err....new version of the Dakota LOL. I'd buy one if it had 2 less doors and a longer bed...even with the V6....my current small truck is an 87 Ford Ranger regular cab with the 7 foot bed, 2.9L V6 and 5 speed manual transmission...occasionally I wish it was 4WD though LOL...the only 2 things it has additional to being a bare basic truck is it has dealer added AC and the AM/FM/cassette radio, which like every Ford the radio doesn't work LOL....however, the AC does work after I did an overhaul on it replaced the o-rings, accumulator, and the hoses, vacuumed, and recharged, works great 2 years later, must have done something right HAHA!!!
The one thing about the fox shocks. If you have to replace them. You will have a stroke. It is 10000 dollars for the 2 front shocks and installation. I work for a dealership.
I like the Gladiator Mojave. I almost got rid of my 2016 Colorado for one. I just didn’t want to get a new truck payment since my Colorado is paid for. If you need your off road truck to tow, the Mojave has the best tow rating. The color is ok. Reminds me of the yellow fire truck color that was a trend for a while. My gut reaction is like yours, the price is too high!
I have a ‘22 Rubicon. It is rated higher for towing but let’s be realistic. If you are buying a midsized truck for mostly highway and towing, this is probably not your vehicle. I love my Rubicon but it was a hard choice between that and a Mojave. They are too expensive, but it seems everything has gone that way in the post COVID economies.
I think people need to try out the other Jeeps every now and then because it's only the Wrangler and the Gladiator that have solid axles everything else has four wheel independent suspension and it doesn't wander at all. My cherokee Trailhawk is lifted and I could take my hands off the steering wheel for 15 seconds probably on the interstate and it wouldn't go anywhere.
When dad said "Jeeps," he definitely meant Wranglers and Gladiators, though he should have been more clear. Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wagoneer and even the Compass drive pretty nice going down the road.
Hopefully, the hurricane 6 makes it to the Gladiator. The 3.6L V6 is just not enough for a rig this size. At least prices have come way down on these. Dealers here in OKC are selling ones equipped like this for $43k.
Bs I have seen the raptors lacking where the heck you get your facts from? The only thing they good for is speeding through bad roads but rock climbing or crazy obstacles they be found wanting. Overpriced fools buy that crappy truck.
I do miss the Gecko color, but this willdo. Having said that, the Hydro blue is pretty and the firecracker red is a jeep classic! I am so tempted by this truck (2024 model has such nice upgrades ) and while I'm not sure if I want the higher speed at lower case or the front locker and sway bar disconnect. I'm leaning towards the later but the shocks on the Mojave from factory, is nice (also, the RUbi has better armor? so better rock crawler for a not so good driver like me?)
I had a Gladiator for a week and did a back road loop with a lot of dirt. The vehicle shined in that environment. If that was all I was doing it would be a no brainer. I think my Ram 1500 (same 3.6L) is easier to live with and at least as capable in a back road/summer road environment and really outshines the Gladiator on the hi-way, which I spend way more time on.
I'ma bit sad that '24 model drops the diesel, I'd prever the powertrain of the 4Xe on the Gladiator, However, as much as I'd like more torque, the 3.6L is perfectly matched for this truck. The fact you can get manual if you want is awesome! No selexc-speed on manual though, so keep that in mind. I'm fine with that. THe "jeep wander" is... a jeep feature? quirk? a charasteristic I was used to on even my fairly more techy (for a jeep) 4Xe Wrangler. REfresh for '24 is nice truck. Increased payload (1700 as a RUbicon/Mojave) and also 7700 lb towoing on those models! SO, good job Jeep? Better interior too.
I can’t decide between rubicon or Mojave; which engine do you recommend I come from diesel trucks but jeep has caught my attention and I I find loving the looks and performance of these vehicles. However, since I am new to the brand can you point me on the right direction which version should I get I would love the most off road and luxury gladiator with a great powerful engine just not v8 that makes 15 mpg on city though.
I like the gladiator is great but I do believe that the Rubicon is superior to the Mojave due to the disconnectable sway bar and the addition of a front locker not to mention that they MSRP for the same amount of money with no extra features
The Mojave has much better shocks, able to stay with the rear locker on in high gear. It's a desert runner instead of a rock crawler, depending on what you want.
Mojave has a $7000 suspension the Rubicon doesn't have. I added a $450 pair of Apex AutoLYNX swaybar discs and solved that missing feature. Mojave has superior seats, steering wheel, Reinforced frame, cast iron steering knuckles...tell us again how it has no additional features over Rubicon?
80 Canadian. 67 US$. Without all the options it'd be much less, as stellantis' model is to charge a ton for every little thing above the base trim. Either way, they are all a ton of money compared to just a short 4 years ago.
@@bobbyg7552 You need to install a SteerSmart adjustable track bar between both front wheels. And if you want it even stiffer, go the extra mile, and install what is called a "Sector Shaft Brace With Frame Side Track Bar Reinforcement Bracket". Works like a charm

Dad's right except for it's not just vehicles that's gone up a ridiculous amount just go to the grocery store, but as he said when the customer says that's far enough only then will the car companies & dealerships quit. Gas is the same, when the customer says that's enough only then will they quit gouging us.
It’s not JUST a truck though. It’s also a convertible! That can go doorless. Only vehicle that can. Plus it’s a community you just don’t get with other trucks. If you want JUST a truck, sure spend less and get a plain old pickup. Plenty of those around for under 60k usd. 🇺🇸
It was a big deal in the 1980's to get suspension like that on a motorcycle. It's hard to believe trucks are getting these qualities. They also get all the stuff cars get now.
hey love your shown,, Question? what about the steering knuckle, there is a difference of materiel between the rubicon and the Mojave and also i think the Mojave is wider by an 1/2 inch.. thanks
The Mojave has cast iron knuckles, while all the other JT/JL including the Rubicon have aluminum knuckles. The extra track width on the Mojave is due to the reduced offset of the wheels (37.17mm vs 44.45mm) compared to the Rubicon. The axles are identical (other than the front Locker in the Rubicon)

Except the reason lots are full of them and incentives are generous is because not many people want them
All my dealers in CA gave the "15k off incentive" and then added a "20k markup" that they said was going to be in place either way. So that is why we have lots full of them for over 400 days. Shame cause the Mojave seems fun for the desert trails.
I got mine Mojave (used) for $44k including all licensing and taxes.
@@captainrex4794 What dealer did you use? I am looking at the 2023 Mojave with Tow Package, Leather int, and bed liner at minimum.
That High velocity color looks better in person if you can believe that!
You guys are Awesome! another excellent review and I have the Gladiator Rubicon. Keep up the excellent reviews!!!😁
Can't wait for Colorado ZR2 Bison
Came from a 2018 ZR2 to a 2022 Mojave and I agree, the Mojave is soooo much better. I thought I'd miss the front locker but the traction control works perfectly and I haven't needed it, yet.
If you want the front locker the Rubicon e locker is easy to add.
💯 agreed with you with pricing!!! Enough is enough!!! If consumer comes together we will win!
I just bought a 2021 Mojave. 10k miles for 47k. I’m loving it.
Wise words @ minute 15:30, people did get tired of paying to much for a gladiator.
My experience with fox shocks is strictly with snowmobiles, gas shocks on a snowmobile don't last long. Is it the same here
I love my Mojave.
I really like the high speed test, that’s something that’s missing from a lot of reviews.
yeah I wouldn't sell my 21 Mojave.
How many miles are on your Mojave?
If the gladiator had the 392 option, I’d own one tomorrow. As is, no thanks
Although the sway bar is fixed that is the tierod you grabbed.
I just got this truck for an incredible price with discounts… 23% discount! Use end of the year deals.. it is a sweet truck
If only it had a hemi V8 they would sell like crazy. The V6 is way under powered.
If they're trying to promote the Mojave as a desert runner, it definitely should have more power.
ha sell like crazy, no because then like the wrangler its over 90k 99 percent of people are not buying 90k cars
Funny too because the hemi option is like $2500 in the ram 1500. Somehow in the jeep it would be like the diesel $9500 option
I owned the 4Runner and now I drive the V6 Sahara Unlimited 2021
The 6 is adequate -
Not underpowered
I appreciate it @ the pumps ⛽️
I'd buy one today if I could get the 5.7 hemi
Love the Mojave hate the color especially with no black roof or fenders to break it up
I saw a 392 wrangler at the dealer in that color and I hate to say it as much as I love the 392 I don't think I would have bought it the hemi can't overcome the color
Now, if it were "HEMI" orange, or grabber orange LOL.
Still mind blown they haven’t released a Wrangler Mohave
Need the long wheelbase for high speed stability.
I like this Mojave, in this color as well. I got a '22 Rubicon that was on the lot. Silver. I was impartial to Mojave or Rubicon. Nice truck, good video. Thank you Elmer team.
Thanks Great vid. i have a 2022 in Gobi color love my Mojave 60k left over 22 dealer took 6k off
I'm a big Jeep fan and wasn't taking to the gladiator when it came out but after 3 Jeeps and always wanting a pickup for the bed ..with this performance?? Its a win win..the price tag sucks but ...
The Mojave is a desert runner as it is not a mud or rocky off-road truck use. The Rubicon is more suited for the rough off-road to challenge the Chevy ZR2. Yet, I am in awe on the Mojave's off-road capabilities in the water and muddy areas.
Can't take the roof and doors off of the ZR2 tho
Oh but you can take the doors off any vehicle. Just some require tools LOL.
Your so right all jeeps do wander. My rubicon takes time to get used to
It’s low on power compared to new mid sized trucks. I’d like to see a 5.7 hemi in it.
$800 for Fox to rebuild all 4. Install is cake.
I'm work at a jeep dealership. And that's what a customer wants quoted at the dealer.
The two front shocks cost $1300 each from any MOPAR supplier. So - $7400 to install 2 shocks? LOL @@paulsharp8802
Its definitely not cheap. Worth it... ehhh of all the trucks, yes. Are any of them really worth that much? Noooo
Actually Mojave does not have the best tow rating- it is 6,000 lbs. Rubicon auto is 7,000 lbs and Sport S with Max Tow package is 7,650 lbs.
@@dadventuretv2538 I guess I should have been more specific. Compared to the ZR2, Ranger Raptor, and TRD Pro.
I think I’m going to buy one. Slightly used probably. Thanks for the vid!
Who's rock rails are you running?
Mine came from the factory with those exact rails so I'm pretty sure they're mopar.
@@The_T_Rav Your right, I found them the other day on the moparfactoryparts site. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
My 2020 Mojave drives straight with no hands on the wheel on the highway. No death wobble either due to upgrade steering box from factory.
The one I'd get but at that price it's not really worth it
Hopefully, the hurricane 6 makes it to the Gladiator. The 3.6L V6 is just not enough for a rig this size. At least prices have come way down on these. Dealers here in OKC are selling ones equipped like this for $43k.
They should include a factory installed sprayed on bed liner. My Gladiator Rubicon came without a bed liner.
Cool video. At high speeding I feel the new Ranger Raptor is going to eat up all of the midsize trucks.
Bs I have seen the raptors lacking where the heck you get your facts from? The only thing they good for is speeding through bad roads but rock climbing or crazy obstacles they be found wanting. Overpriced fools buy that crappy truck.
Welcome Liam 👏👏...Have a good day everybody ✌️
The terrain is better suited for the Rubicon as Mojave is designed as a fast desert runner. Color is cool.
Love my mojave lockers can work 4 hi but sad day as the cam has failed at 35000kms and it's in the shop
80 Canadian. 67 US$. Without all the options it'd be much less, as stellantis' model is to charge a ton for every little thing above the base trim. Either way, they are all a ton of money compared to just a short 4 years ago.
Great vid! don't worry about the wondering, it's an easy fix
HOW?
@@bobbyg7552 You need to install a SteerSmart adjustable track bar between both front wheels. And if you want it even stiffer, go the extra mile, and install what is called a "Sector Shaft Brace With Frame Side Track Bar Reinforcement Bracket". Works like a charm
plenty videos about it
Like the color, but would like it better with the black top.
Are you still doing vids with TFL or was that jist a short term collab?
I worked for TFL for nearly 3 yrs. I left in 2020 to come to Truck King full-time.
We still see the guys from TFL all the time and try to collaborate when we can. In fact, watch the channel next week and you'll catch a glimpse of Andre here on TK.
@@TruckKing awesome will do, collabs are always the best. Us all supporting eachother really can make a difference in alot of things. Thanks for the great content.
My gladiator doesn't seem to wander. It has the MOPAR 2 inch lift and 35 inch KO2s , its the Rubicon model. I can take my hands off of the steering wheel and the truck tracks straight.
If/when Jeep finally puts the Hurricane 3.0L in the JT, it will be fantastic.
Chose a Rubicon for the added security of a locking front differential.
Id like to get one but i have 3 old 2nd gen dodges that are paid for.....i just cant see the where they get the pricing on these mid size trucks!
another great review!
Color is ok, love the truck.
Just bored I'm a hobby yesterday. It was sitting on the lot along with a dozen others since May of 23. Got 15,000 off!
Fairest reviews ever!
You can lock the rear differential in 4 high on a Mojave.
Lowering the tire pressure works like magic when it comes to the Mojave wandering
Which tires do you have and how far did you air down?
@@CRV_34 I'm running 37" falken wildpeak at3w's. I have a Tazer so I adjusted my target pressure. I'm from 28-30. Depending on the temperature.
I likr thr Rubicon much more.
That color is Awesome…….!!!!!
It was a big deal in the 1980's to get suspension like that on a motorcycle. It's hard to believe trucks are getting these qualities. They also get all the stuff cars get now.
Too expensive for what it is. Glad you said it straight up.
hey love your shown,, Question? what about the steering knuckle, there is a difference of materiel between the rubicon and the Mojave and also i think the Mojave is wider by an 1/2 inch..
Just bought a 2024 mohave 39 inch wheels 2 inch lift
