Imam Ali (AS) predicted the fall of Baghdad would happen, the shia negotiated with the Mogul leader, Genghis Khan not to destroy the Shia cities like Hilli, Najaf and Karbala were left untouched which he respected. So if there is no Mahdi, who is the Imam of your time as per the Quran. What about the ghayb? Without the Mahdi(ajtfs) there would be no existence. It is so sad you are belittling the Mahdi and Khidr, may Allah guide you.
