- Here's an unboxing of the complete series of The Ren and Stimpy Show on DVD. Here we have the three volume sets that have been released. The one set that I don't have is the newer 'Lost Episodes' set because I'm not sure if I'll like those or not. But these are the older episodes (and the better ones, as I understand). I have had a few requests for this video, so I hope you all enjoy it!
One of my top 5 favorite '90s Nicktoons. Love this show. I wish they would release a TRULY uncut version of the show, but I don't think that'll ever happen. There was talk a few years back about John K. working on a set called "The Ultimate Ren & Stimpy Collection" which would have had truly uncut episodes, but nothing has been said since unfortunately.

After season 2, John K. was fired from Ren and Stimpy with several episodes in production. He was replaced by Bob Camp and Billy West voiced Ren. In 2002, TNN (now Spike) made a deal with John K. to finish the remaining episodes. Only 6 episodes were produced, while the episode "Life Sucks" is currently incomplete.
John K does Ren and Stimpy better than anyone else could tbh

There's going to be a reissue this month on the 11th, it's going to be all in one case. I don't know if Paramount will keep the artwork or not, but judging on how they recycle discs, it's probably going to have the same artwork.

The lost episodes I found at big lots for 5 bucks . I watched it and we'll there is only one episode I like that never aired b/c it was way to raunchy . So if you just want to have the lost episodes set just for collecting prepuces , I say go for it , it worth a watch 1 time .

Because there were kids like myself that loved the gross weird adult content humor. The Simpson popularized that movement of the adult content cartoons.

Do not pick up the lost episodes also apc aired on spike tv and because of that they got rid of the Nickelodeon logo and yes this is a nicktoon.
Just as a warning, do not purchase The Lost Episodes, it's literally Adult Party Cartoon. Not joking, someone thought it was a good idea to rename it that for the DVD release.

Here’s a funny story or not
Me and my sister are a huge fan of the original Ren and Stimpy so we were looking through amazon
And we bought the whole series of the original series and my sister found “Ren and Stimpy The Lost Episodes”
She said “Why don’t we get this too?”
I said NO DON’T
She said Why?
Because that includes the adult party cartoons full series
She didn’t give a shit and said Cmon dude let’s get it
Alright fine
And once we got it she loved it for some reasons the only thing I loved was the flute dance
So I do not recommend people to buy that dvd

The original R&S is good but don't buy the Adult Party Cartoon aka "Lost" episodes, i have seen some clips of them online and they were absolutely terrible. If you didn't know it was John K's attempt to make a new version of the show the way he had wanted unlike when he was working for Nick back in the day. However, the executives at Spike TV forced him to insert a bunch of questionable adult stuff that pushed far beyond the comedy of the original series. It was an attempt at getting the show to fit in with the rest of the programming on their short lived adult animation block at the time, and needless to say it flopped and got cancelled after a short period of time. Needless to say...AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!
Also, season 3-5 were after John K was removed/fired/axed from Nickelodeon and they continued on themselves with their animation house Games Animation aka Nickelodeon Animation Studios since 1998 onward.
Eventhough many claim that seasons four and five are kinda bad, stupid or what have you after John Kricfalusi was fired i've always found those seasons to be pretty funny and not nearly as terrible as people say they are. Now with APC that's a different story, and kind of a shame too because I feel like it kind of ruined Ren & Stimpy's legacy and left a stain on the show. I kinda wish APC didn't exist, it's just plain BAD!
+John Kricfalusi's Art Yeah, the Games Animation seasons weren't the greatest at times but i don't think they are as horrible as some make them out to be, even when there are some not so good episodes in there but also a good few decent ones as well. Adult Party Cartoon on the other hand was a complete misfire, it was bad from top to bottom and to such a degree that Billy West decided not to return to voice Stimpy again because he felt the show would be a horrible black stain on his voice acting career if he were to do it, thus Eric Bauza voiced him and his performance was decent for a soundalike stand in but still didn't quite have that same feeling West's take had.
Honestly, i see APC as what the original run under John K. as envisioned by him would have potentially looked like if he weren't under Nickelodeon's limitations. Of course quite a bit of what he intended to do for the show was never going to fly with Nick's executives and S&P people, combined with his infamous bad production habits at Spumco. So this was him effectively in his mind sticking it to them in a "take that" way as he felt he'd been slighted in regard to the original run although i believe they were right in terms of the limits they placed upon him at the time because this show was John without restraints and it failed big time.

Ren and Stimpy is definitely a great series, my friend. I have the 1st and 2nd seasons boxset, and it's great to go back and rewatch these episodes. Too bad the show is under a lot of controversy at the moment for reasons I'd rather not explain...
If you're speaking of what I believe you are then I would add that it's not so much the show itself under controversy as it is the creator.

Adult Party Cartoon wouldn't of been bad if Spike didn't force John K. to turn it into garbage.

The lost episodes are the adult party cartoon, with a bonus episode (which is good, but is on the seasons 1 and 2 boxset, which you own). They were pretty bad.
If you're referring to the "banned" episode Man's Best Friend, it was actually produced for the original series, not APC
Never buy the "Lost Episodes" DVD. Contains mature content that will make you traumitized for weeks.
There was full female nudity in one of those episodes.

I just ordered these DVDs got the boxset version from amazon really happy that i will have all of the episodes from seasons 1 to 5 , I did purchase the lost episodes (adult party cartoon) for me that’s the 6th season , I had to have the complete set , regardless if everyone is ashamed of the lost episodes 👌

stick with the The Ren & Stimpy Show regular version of The Complete Series. I think you will revisit the adult party cartoon later. I have a bad feelling about their 2003 version of that release.

The original was rated Y7 from 1991 to 1996. The awful 2003 reboot was M-rated from what i've known.

I try my best to get the best boxes. It means that I have to shop around a lot. I went to a few different walmarts until I got the nicest cases.

I have a DVD box site but my first volume dvd broke
I would absolutely love to have this series on DVD, but I'm not paying them a dime until they release it properly, with complete episodes and as unedited as possible. I will settle for hunting down the episodes myself and making my own DVD set, or more than likely just keeping it stored on my hard drive and saving it to my cloud storage for the time being. They've released it two or three times already, you would think that it one point they would get it right. I also have an issue with the edited episodes of Rocko's Modern Life.
I doubt we will see a reissue of these anytime soon, unfortunately.
The episodes are fantastic just the way they are.

Dude let me give you some advice! ignore the crappy reviews of the lost episodes! The lost episodes are worth it! let me tell you what the lost episodes is about! see they were stories that were supposed to be on the original ren and stimpy but nickelodeon rejected them so spike tv asked the creator john k to make it and that is what the lost episodes is about! also check out my dvd review on the lost episodes! And I promise you that you will enjoy it!
