A huge info dump for this episode... - The Wind Farm Maintenance facility is used to power the fog condensers in Far Harbor. Using the code which DiMA hid in one of his caches, you can power down the wind farm, allowing the island's creatures to attack Far Harbor, killing everybody. - At Eden Meadows Cinema, if you can remain hidden, you can change the projector to show a movie on the other screen. All the feral ghouls will then move towards the screen which is playing the new movie. The movies shown at the cinema star the actors found in Vault 118, which is the vault under the Cliff's Edge Hotel, where you solved the murder investigation. - Marine Combat armour is worth getting. It provides the best armour protection in the game, second only to power armour. - 9:05 - I don't want to know what Harvey was doing with that skeleton when you found him in the Transit Center. - 20:13 - You can disarm those traps. Obviously shooting them doesn't do anything. - 24:47 - You'd be surprised how many people actually activate the turrets. They later find out that it's a bad idea. It's also good that you shot the monkey in the next room, because it would have activated the turrets. - The Overboss' Quarters is a good place to drop off all your junk. Unfortunately, in their infinite wisdom, Bethesda failed to link all the workbench inventories together. So if you want to modify anything, you have to move the junk to the relevant workbench. Fortunately, there is a mod which turns the Fizz-Top Grille (inside and outside) into a settlement, although you can't assign settlers or supply lines there. I highly recommend you install it, otherwise you're going to be doing a lot of inventory management. You can find the mod here: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33176 - There is an actual settlement just outside the park, but you have to complete the main quest to gain access to the settlement's Workshop. - Whilst I'm not a fan of raiders, I don't mind the Operators. I see them less as barbaric raiders, and more like violent thieves or extortionists. I wouldn't do jobs for the raider bosses. After all, you're the Overboss. The raiders are supposed to be working for you, not the other way around. - The weapon you got from Mason, is essentially the same as another weapon you can buy from the Nuka Town Market. It just has a different name and different modifications, but the same legendary effect. - Speaking of the Nuka World Market, which is the big circular structure in the middle of Nuka Town USA, there are a few traders there who sell pretty well everything. One trader in particular, by the name of Mackenzie, can provide you with an alternate way to complete the main Nuka World questline. Definitely have a chat with her. - 1:36:12 - To do the Hidden Cappy contest, you need to talk to Sierra Petrovita (the blonde wearing the green t-shirt near the Parlour). I would recommend talking to her before attempting to take the parks, as you can find the hidden Cappys as you explore the parks. Also have a chat with NIRA (the bottle-shaped robot walking around Nuka Town USA), as she/it has a quest you can also complete while exploring the parks. - You could divide the parks up as evenly as possible, or you could give one group all the parks, or even give the parks to nobody. If you choose not to give the parks to the raiders, I highly recommend talking to Mackenzie in the Market first. - The Nuka-Cade Tickets are used at the Arcade, which is located opposite the Parlour. - You can loot body parts from the robots in Galactic Zone to use on your robots in the Commonwealth. - To secure Galactic Zone, you need to complete the Star Control quest. Make sure you have the quest selected in your Pip-Boy. - The part at the end where you couldn't trade with Gage, was because you initiated the conversation whilst standing next to him. Step back a bit and then initiate the conversation. That will permit you to trade with him.
Aaaaah…NukaWorld. The cesspool of the Commonwealth. 😆 It dawned on me this episode that Gage is actually the Overboss, and whoever he chooses is the scapegoat for when things go bad. Otherwise, why would the other gangs listen to him and not wipe each other out. 🤣 Deranged individuals here for sure!
@@johnwpipes8927 never thought of it that way! It's a strange place for sure, I'm not a fan of any of the gangs, but the Operators seem less deranged than the rest
Be sure to scout around Nuka Town when you get back to unload your pockets. There's a few places that will lend a bit of context. Also, don't forget Dogmeat can carry more than just teddybears 😉
@mike-thegamingdad Well that's an utterly useless piece of equipment when you have a follower with a blowtorch and unlimited ammunition who can't be burnt ain't it 🤣
@@mike-thegamingdad Might be worth a check. You can put on 4 pcs with the green shirt combat boots outfit, which is a +1 charsisma, so with the armor is would be a total of +5. Take a nice cocktail of drugs and you can buy the common wealth at a hefty discount.
When you get the power back on I would recommend returning to nuka galaxy and riding on the roller coaster. Also look out for new nuka cola recipes that are scattered around they can be mixed into useful new buffers. You can store your gear in the power armour stand at fizz top grill immediately when you fast travel without going properly inside the doors It's at the right of the doors.
Having got further into Nuka World. The Raider factions are horrendous. I wouldn't want to help any of them. Like Gage, as he helped you, and I'm hoping that he can be saved. Btw as Dogmeat is with you, can he help to carry stuff/junk? Thirdly, I love how the recorded messages/announcements have survived - it gives an idea of how things might have been prewar.
@junewindross6221 yeah Dogmeat is a good shout, I've not used his carry weight for a while. I'm tempted to do the quest where you wipe them all out you know, we'll see 😅
If/when you do go back to The Island. You still have the option to persuade Tektus to use the nuclear launch key. Wind farm maintenance can be used to pretty well destroy Far Harbor, using the wind farm kill switch code. (Old Longfellow will definitely not like that!) And, there is still the option to inform BoS or Railroad about Acadia. Finally, if you did pick up The Striker from Beaver Creek Lanes, hopefully you found the modified bowling ball schematic in the terminal. Ive a feeling that I omitted that info when I mentioned this previously. But now, into Nuka World we go! Exciting.
@@junewindross6221 no I need to get that weapon from Beaver Creek! I forgot about that 😯. As for the other options, those are the 3 options that kill off each of the settlements aren't they?
@mike-thegamingdad Yes, for 2 of them. The nuclear option, the Children of Atom will become a spectacular mass of atoms. If it gets foggy, Far Harbor will be overrun with nasty sea creatures. But for the 3rd, if you choose to tell Railroad, Acadia survives.
Not watched the episode yet. Just waiting on the kettle boiling so I can drink my Earl grey and watch….but while I’m here, The friendly supermutant called Erikson in far harbor breeds and sells dogs. Guard dogs for your settlements. Wolves, spermutant hounds etc. if you find where he lives (on a big crashed airplane if I recall) you can go back at regular intervals and get new dogs.
@@mike-thegamingdad That is beause TH-cam removed it when they banned firearms build videos. Too bad about that because it was both instructive and funny at the same time. There used to be thousands of AK build videos back when the platform believed in the Freedom of speech.
