In the previous two videos I mixed telling you how to set up your lines, boards, rods and boat with some live footage from my most recent trip.
In this video I am going to show you the areas where I have caught Mackerel in the bay, both while trolling or while floating pillies out.
I had planned to show you the crab pots I picked up at the end of the trolling session and explain how I set them up but when I had finished editing the video it went for over 40 minutes and I thought that was far too long so I cut the crabbing part out and I will put that up next week.
The video is late going up this week because my computer decided to crash when the editing was almost finished, requiring me to start over again. In the confusion I left in the section where I was departing the ramp which was intended to be part of the crabbing video. Putting the finished video together takes about 6 hours (after editing) so removing that was not an option. So if you are wondering why that footage is in this video, that is why.
I now get all my trolling boards from Mr Bait:

My pleasure! I had so much trouble putting this video together I ended up leaving a few out. I will put them in with next weeks crabbing video.
Once again.THANKS
You're welcome.
Thanks for taking the time to put together a great video.
Appreciate your efforts.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Another great vid.
I have picked up a couple of those orange trolling boards and will give then a go in the spring.
Thanks and please keep them coming.
Thank you, you're welcome. Next week, as well as detailing how I get the crabs there will be a short segment on the mackerel spots I forgot to mention in this one.
Day or night for two and half hours from three hours to one half hour before high tide, the sandies are on. As soon as the tide slackens their gone.
Could be, but I usually catch more at night than during the day.
@weFishAU Success is working your pots. After the last drop, I return to check the first one and so on checking each one, rebating as required. Blue swimmer crabs swim with the tide. Choosing your location is important to allow the tide to bring the crab to your pots. Cheers
I used to do that up until they banned the witches hat pots. Now that I only have four pots to check I prefer to leave them and go do some fishing.
