This is an old documentary, but as a recently retired career US Government financial institution regulator I assure the reader little has changed amongst even the largest banks. The phrase "Too big to fail" truly should be rephrased "Too big to jail".
Manipulation of the media breeding complacency or feelings of powerlessness. Always has been. Always will be. It’s just like when they manipulated the media and caused a depression in order to force Americans to vote for and open a central (privately owned) bank. And right now they are doing the same Depression game again and we are seeing creditors squeeze people and are starting to cash in and repossess their belongings,, only for them to tell us to work for them or vote for or do what they want if we want it back.. that’s the way the world works,, if you can hold physical money (gold) without debt then you will be good in the coming years
If i owned a bank, i would absolutely take all that drug money!! The cartels will bring in billions in cash. Why let my competitors take it. I would accept all of it. Lets do business!!! 💰 🤑 💶
If anyone has lost a beloved one to drugs and listens to this man at 31:35 ... they will be very disappointed at his greed, callousness and immense lack of empathy.
You didn't lose a beloved one to drugs. Your beloved one just had no discipline and couldn't handle it. Drugs aren't some person or ethereal being you can blame it all on. Drugs don't have a conscience or consciousness.
@@87stevandid you read? You’re saying drugs have no conscience but this man has no conscience. He consciously laundered money. Walking into a bank in Mexico with a million in drug money to deposit isn’t banking, it’s aiding laundering.
"I don't think it's fair to say Hong Kong is a tax haven WHEREVER THE MONEY COMES FROM" that's very telling. That's what makes it a tax haven, they don't care where the money comes from..
13:36 - It’s truly disheartening to see vulnerable individuals being manipulated and drawn into the schemes of those who exploit them for illicit activities. These individuals, often lacking the knowledge or resources to defend themselves, end up facing severe consequences and being convicted, while the masterminds behind these operations remain free. It seems unjust that the authorities often target the smaller players while the true perpetrators behind the scenes evade accountability. It’s time for a fairer system that focuses on bringing those responsible for orchestrating these crimes to justice, rather than punishing those who are exploited in the process.
I am not for or against, but the complaint seems to be that the bank HSBC is not police, government, or law. Sounds like the upset is the bank is being a bank without restrictions enforced upon it by government, law, or agency. (You have money, bank stores it for you -without question of where it came from-.)

Just because you don’t have a piece of paper like me doesn’t mean you aren’t educated,, if I’m being honest a lot of the classmates in my university are even less educated then you,, so don’t sell yourself short,, keep on learning for real knowledge is power!
This "report" looks more like the grudges of an ex-wife towards the more attractive and interesting new wife. All banks work the same way. Some admit it, some don't. Some do it on behalf of states and stay off the radar (e.g. cia offshore banks in Vanuatu) others do it for private persons. If anything, I will open bank accounts at HSBC.
Rules for thee but not for me. Remember that saying folks. You will always be a slave and treated like a peasant compared to the political and wealthy class. You call that freedom? Yeah I don’t think so.
The favoured way to launder any illicit money - yeah, good luck with that - when it comes to Wild West of finance, crypto is wilder - who benefits most from anonymity in financial transactions not linked to regulation, that should immediately make you think.
Neither for or against... Mexican drug lords have $$$$. Money has its own natural flow into the money cycle across the world. If the Mexican cartel didn't use a bank to include themselves with the flow of money then technically they would grow an entire flourishing city in Mexico as the hub-hub of financial exchanges; aka the Mexican cartel would own and run a city as they have the money while the rest of the country is depleted.

If the worlds d rug cartel's money was ti be withdrawn all at one time. The entire worlds banking systems would collapse

This is the most true statement about banking I have ever seen and it is 100% true.
@@johnnewton3592 Thank you. I truly did have a "front row seat" to witness this when it was happening.

Hypocrites. EVERY bank is doing the same thing in different ways, don't just single out a few bad apples, grow some balls and unmask them all 🖕🏾
Valid fact! 👍🏼

Nothings changed. When corporations pay politicians then nothing ever will.

Let's say Hong Kong is objective
What a twit. He wasn't "living in a bubble". He was, and is, a criminal.
