So, i'm from the isle of man and I can't explain how accurate these roads are. Like its not just like they did the course and added random vaguely british looking buildings on the side of the roads NO. This is mental to watch it legit looks so much like the real TT course thats such a strange sensation
I know it's not quite the same thing, but being from Los Angeles, I get this feeling when watching people play GTA V. But yeah, I guess LA gets photographed and filmed all the time and being from a small lower key place like the Isle of Man, it must be weirder to see it rendered super accurately like this. Is that a place I should have on my travel list whenever I eventually visit the UK or?
Being a Manx person I can safely say that TT means Tourist Trophy, also we love it when the Isle of Man is mentioned in anyway/shown it exists by people that haven't been here. So when I saw this posted of was both really surprised and pleased. :D I just spent the whole video naming the areas and pointing out my house/street.
because I can, also I live close to the start anyway so they where only doing 100. But with all there crashes and even so you can still see laces at 200+
At 4:40 is the spot a friend of mine Adam crashed and killed himself on a bike at 19 years old. These games are fun and so is watching the racing but when youre taking your life into your own hands its important to think about what youre leaving behind. Be safe
Spud McCullough ideally we need a game where you build and maintain your own bike as a lorry mechanic and then race it and do various other life threatening things. As well as some minigames involving restoring some old historical machines.
I think racing sims can teach you a lot. I used to play nothing but racing sims from when i was about 6 tot about 21. I started kart racing a couple of months ago (i'm 23 now) and was immediately able to at least give the guys who had done it for years a run for their money. I'm not saying i was beating them, not by any stretch of the imagination, but i was at least keeping up!
TT stands for Tourist Trophy and no, manuals on cars are not quicker. The quickest ones are sequential gearboxes with or without a double clutch. Granted, they are manually operated, however they are not "manual" in the classic foot operated clutch and h-pattern way. TT 3D is a good documentary about the Isle of Man TT.
Closer to the edge is a good documentary showing what the riders go through, and although it's centered around Guy Martin, it still features other riders.
The James May Meccano bike thing was from James May's Toy Stories which he did while he was still on Top Gear in the early 2010s. The only thing he's done between TG & GT, IIRC, is The Reassembler. All of Toy Stories is available on DVD. At least in the UK; I'm not sure about the US...
Speaking of concussions, I have a friend who has had 12+ of them and we've lost count of how many because it's become so easy for him to have another one. Little disclaimer: that many will really mess you up.
Not hard to ride a bike but you do have to ride like no-one can see you to survive. I rode a bike in Sydney (Australia) for a yr when I was 17/18 and live to tell. If you can live through that you can live through anything.
TT stands for Tourist Trophy, because this is a race for ANYONE! It's a horrifically fantastic thing that still exsits! I hope to be able to go spectate some time!
I would say 'plenty' is a relative term. I didn't want to undermine any other balls to the walls road racing like this, though this one is rather well known compared to the likes of Irish road racing for example. But... The way over 40 thousand motorcycle fans and other patrons fill this little island to the brim every year. All to watch "some bloke" participate in one of the most harrowing races ever, along side many veterans of the sport, for the glory, the accomplishment and/or the experience of a lifetime, knowing full well the insane death toll (16 since 2010, 3 in 2017). That's what makes the Isle of Man TT unlike anything else.
Glad you’ve finally done a video on this game! It’s a shame they didn’t include the southern 100 track too. My ofer still stands that if you’re over here I’ll take it around the track :)
I once held onto the back of my friends pickup while on BMX bike. We genuinely got up to 60km/h (38mph) in a 40km/h (25mph) zone before I had to let go, partly due to me realizing I was going 20 over the limit on a BMX, but mostly because my jacket was catching the air and acting like a parachute and lifting up off the bike!!! LOL After letting go I had to lean forward and become more aerodynamic to let the air pass over me rather than take me with it. Great fun, I'd love to go back in time. Would I recommend it? Probably not to most people, but we're of that generation where we literally hung out outside all day, everyday, and spent as little time inside as we could manage. Times have changed, and the spazzes growing up today, can barely hold a hammer with any meaningful strength, let alone do what we use to.
OMG YESS!! I really hoped you guys would do a video on this after we suggested it to you at i62. As a IOM Hat Films fan it's super cool to see you guys make a video on this! :D
Might just be me but I'd love to see them play a dark souls in a havin' a bash. They could maybe do some kind of challenge to see how far they could get in a set time or something like that. Dark souls 3 would be best because it's the easiest.
We had a kid in my school who pierced his lung while riding his dirtbike, I think he ran into a branch or something. Anyway you can totally see for fans of the event and the sport they will love the game, keep up the great work boys!
£150 - depends on how fast you go through the boards. I knew a guy who bought a £60 deck and snapped it in two days going over the seven set at Shell centre (if that still exists). He stuck to £20 boards for a while after that.
Franky Muniz had multiple strokes which caused the memory lose, he also broke his back and a few other things while he drove for Nascar, it's a very sad story
Dear Trot, The trick to turning on a motorbike is that you actually need to turn the handles the opposite direction. The best way to think about is; push right to turn right and push left to turn left. Once you get that, the leaning comes naturally.
Ive got a great bike horror story, was in year 4, some of the year 6s were doing their cycling profeciency, and then suddently an ambulance. Someone had fell off and somehow the pegs on his bike went through his calf. I said bike not motobike.
Please please please do a Vlog series of you guys getting bike licences... even if you never get a bike, just you guys doing the group lessons and test would be hilarious (could even make it informative for new riders)
This game is £35. A bit much considering how little there is. I guess that price comes from the whole "We scanned a 30+ mile track and made a game out of it" thing.
You guys could have done the old death counter from Minecraft as a call back instead for the crash counter. Missed opportunity boys. That would have been nostalgic as hell. Or at least like the old graphic style and sound effects
omg at 10:20 ross says he's on 14 crashes and the editors don't point out that he's on 15 crashes disappointed at you editors for not pointing that one out.
So, i'm from the isle of man and I can't explain how accurate these roads are. I know right, I spent the whole video go 'oh look' 'there it is' 'My house/street'
Ikr! Im sitting there thinkin ah im off to that pub in a few hours. Bring on the crosby.
They’ve even got the range rovers in the driveways lol. Super accurate
I know it's not quite the same thing, but being from Los Angeles, I get this feeling when watching people play GTA V. I live on the Isle of Man and couldn't agree with Smith's summary more:
"It's like if England just gave up"
Being a Manx person I can safely say that TT means Tourist Trophy, also we love it when the Isle of Man is mentioned in anyway/shown it exists by people that haven't been here. So when I saw this posted of was both really surprised and pleased. :D
I just spent the whole video naming the areas and pointing out my house/street.
I know right? WE DO EXIST! XD
How can you see your house at 200kph?
because I can, also I live close to the start anyway so they where only doing 100. But with all there crashes and even so you can still see laces at 200+
At 4:40 is the spot a friend of mine Adam crashed and killed himself on a bike at 19 years old.

Matthew Pearce Rip
Matthew Pearce, damn dude. I ride an R6 and I make sure to ride carefully. Sorry for your loss.
im so sorry
strictlyformyninja R6! Cool bike! And thanks all for kind words!
He should've worn a seatbelt
ISLE OF HOWAY MAN
Finally, a game that lets me fulfil my fantasy of being Guy Martin!
What about lorry mechanic simulator ?
alan B it's a contender, but I don't feel the welding is Gung-ho enough for the real experience.
Hahaha love it
Spud McCullough ideally we need a game where you build and maintain your own bike as a lorry mechanic and then race it and do various other life threatening things. As well as some minigames involving restoring some old historical machines.

More Havin A Bash. Love the series.
that was epic. and good job craig, edit was on point
20:36 - Who was my favourite racist? Definitely Trott. The master racist.
Harry watches hat films? Did not expect you here.
Might be referring to hat chat where smith and Ross expose him as a huge bigot
He's a master at bating, too.
kamikazesopp he really is the true master baiter

Best crash is 14:15 with Ross! Good work boys!

Isle of Man, full of TTs.
Dastardly Audis
Total Tosspots?
TT stands for Tourist Trophy
The spy movie starring the guy from Malcolm in the Middle is called Special Agent Cody Banks! I used to love that movie.
Speaking of concussions, I have a friend who has had 12+ of them and we've lost count of how many because it's become so easy for him to have another one. Little disclaimer: that many will really mess you up.
Spiderman taught me the map of Manhattan and actually helped me when i got lost on vacation
Can’t believe you just played the game with my dad in!!! Hi Ewan McGuinness, son of John McGuinness!!
Love seeing John race between the hedges.
I know you probably hear it all the time, but your Dad's an absolute legend man 👍
Christina Em hahaha cheers, don’t tell him though!! He loves himself enough!! Haha ☺️☺️
Did you just say hi to yourself?
Not hard to ride a bike but you do have to ride like no-one can see you to survive. I rode a bike in Sydney (Australia) for a yr when I was 17/18 and live to tell. If you can live through that you can live through anything.
Imagine this in VR
RhodRambles. That would be actually terrifying.
I would throw up so damn much, but I'm fine on a bike usually, just vr messes with me... Maybe I could somehow hook up the controls to my bike
TT stands for Tourist Trophy, because this is a race for ANYONE! It's a horrifically fantastic thing that still exsits! I hope to be able to go spectate some time!
MrBarlien there’s plenty of road racing that still exists. This course is amazing to see though.
I would say 'plenty' is a relative term. I didn't want to undermine any other balls to the walls road racing like this, though this one is rather well known compared to the likes of Irish road racing for example.
But...

Dibs tagging along
This game is really very accurate when it comes to the roads on the Isle of Man. Top notch gameplay
There are very few auto bikes. Twist and go peds are obviously automatic and they do make some pretty big CC twist and go bikes
Impressive sense of speed, but as an American I kind of want to slow down and take in the nice looking scenery! Maybe visit an old church?
Those Crash Counters remind me of the Death Counters from back in the day, the early Minecraft series... good times.
OOOOO Id love to go to the isle of men if they all looked like trotty
nobody here is that beautiful
It's crazy watching you play this game, going by so many of my friends houses and places where I've watched the racing!
honestly i could really see this being a new podcast series like trails
ROSS, its never too late to learn, my dad didnt learn to ride until he was in his 40s
As a IOM Hat Films fan it's super cool to see you guys make a video on this! :D
Every time they say "Scooter" all I can think of it "Are you ready?"
Crash counter reminds me of the death counter from Minecraft series various, love it
Might just be me but I'd love to see them play a dark souls in a havin' a bash. They could maybe do some kind of challenge to see how far they could get in a set time or something like that. Dark souls 3 would be best because it's the easiest.
TheReym9 that would be pretty magical
the isle of mann TT is basically dark souls for motorbikes IRL
They wouldn't even get past Iudex Gundyr.
r9ksg chan they're not that bad
We had a kid in my school who pierced his lung while riding his dirtbike, I think he ran into a branch or something. Anyway you can totally see for fans of the event and the sport they will love the game, keep up the great work boys!
Daddy Smith pulling that lead
£150 - depends on how fast you go through the boards. I knew a guy who bought a £60 deck and snapped it in two days going over the seven set at Shell centre (if that still exists). He stuck to £20 boards for a while after that.
That film is Agent Cody Banks, its quality 😂
I'm not normally one for racing games, but this does look very good. More please! Perhaps with manual bikes?
This looks amazing! But all those crashes... as a rider, it’s so painful to see the crashes hahahah! Smith having the least crashes is my favourite
Anyone who wants to watch more about the TT, watch a film called Closer To The Edge. It's very good.
Really liked this one. And what a track.
Frankie Munes(?) was in Agent Cody Banks, a weird movie...
It amazes me that in this day and age, they still run the TT race on that track
You can get a few auto bikes. I'm pretty sure Harley Davidson makes a couple. But on mass no. All motorcycles are manual.
More of this! I enjoyed it!
Hearing them talk about crashing when I recently bit the tip of my tongue off when I crashed during one of my races.
Franky Muniz had multiple strokes which caused the memory lose, he also broke his back and a few other things while he drove for Nascar, it's a very sad story
it's so weird to see a game and constantly think, wait i recognize it all, I've been to the isle of man many times.
Highly recommend checking out POV/gopro style footage of this track. Incredible.
The crash counter reminds me of the death counter they had in their Minecraft serieses.
you guys should apply for the top gear job! three guys with great banter. perfect hosts
If you guys ever come over I’ll happily show you around the course
Dear Trot,
The trick to turning on a motorbike is that you actually need to turn the handles the opposite direction. The best way to think about is; push right to turn right and push left to turn left. Once you get that, the leaning comes naturally.
All about the countersteering. After a while the lean comes and you want more and more.
moar. need more of you guys playing this game!
Damn it, rob. You were doing so well
Trott’s 9th crash was an amazing TBD
My families actually from the Isle of Man before they moved to the states. Now i want to go back just to participate in this race
You could tell it wasn't Yeovil because you could see blue sky and green plants.
My bloody ipod responded to Ross's "hey siri" at 15:15
Yo I live on the Isle of Man TT stands for tourist trophy also FUN FACT the mountain road over here has no speed limit
Yay! Gotta love the Isle of Man, right guys?
I enjoy watching them when they aren't swearing every two seconds just to fill dead air.. Much better... ; D
summer car simulator almost helps, but its way easier then doing anny of that stuff irl.
Watching this while on an exercise bike is nuts. Gonna throw myself off in true bikers death fashion!
you guys should come to the isle of man some time
Ive got a great bike horror story, was in year 4, some of the year 6s were doing their cycling profeciency, and then suddently an ambulance. Someone had fell off and somehow the pegs on his bike went through his calf.
I said bike not motobike.
Smith pretty sure he was in "Agent Cody Banks"
I've been wanting you to try this so much.
13:13 They should make another pancake video, but like an Overcooked pizza making video
Please please please do a Vlog series of you guys getting bike licences... even if you never get a bike, just you guys doing the group lessons and test would be hilarious (could even make it informative for new riders)
At 3.20 ish Mr T’s van from A team
"We're going to die in the Isle Of Man!"
I think these guys just want to be the Top Gear/Grand Tour guys.
I pissed blood for a month after going off a jump on a bike and landing on the seat. never saw a doctor.
I would love to see them VR this.
9:28 you'd think that, but the Isle of Man has no speed limits. I think everyone is pretty sensible though
raven c no it has speed limits but not a national one
Yeah not when the TT is on, just driving around Douglas the place is crazy and great atmosphere
Smiffy, the best of them all!
Craigle was my favorite racer.
Imagine if they put AR in the headset so the drivers could actually see those red and yellow markers
Please play more of this
the queen is technically our lord of man
This game is £35.
A bit much considering how little there is.
I guess that price comes from the whole "We scanned a 30+ mile track and made a game out of it" thing.
13:30 forgot to tally smith's crash?
Most bikes are still manual.
trouble in town
When's the motor bike vlog coming out?
You guys could have done the old death counter from Minecraft as a call back instead for the crash counter. Missed opportunity boys.
That would have been nostalgic as hell. Or at least like the old graphic style and sound effects
Ross activated Siri on my phone. =o/
11:03 nah bruh, all bout dem bones, red bones
Freddie Muraz is my favorite actor
MORE you need to do MORE videos with the vidiots. The 3v3 potential is so real.
TT stands for tourist trophy
How many times has Ross told that story about the blood pissing now?
Doesn't TT measn Tout-Terrain like in TB-TT?
omg at 10:20 ross says he's on 14 crashes and the editors don't point out that he's on 15 crashes disappointed at you editors for not pointing that one out.
Mopeds/scooter have auto gear box's but I've never seen a bike with auto gears
I reckon you there should actually come over and watch the real thing, it’s on in like a month end of May !
