We are doing lighting literature level storm as well. My son really likes how the lessons in the workbook is written and he liked Prairie Lotus as well. He hasn’t liked the Rainy day reader all that much. He thinks that the short stories have been weird so far. Have you and your daughter liked the Rainy day reader?
I know you don’t have a 8th grader, but I have been having him read some popular high school novels. His advanced in ELA. I have been having him do novel studies that include small essays. Can you think of something else that would benefit him? He’s reading Of Mice and Men right now. He just finished Animal Farm.

The stories HAVE been weird 🤣 I think they are a difficult read (the ones we’ve done so far) and I’ve had to do them with her.
