If you enjoy the traditional sounds and concept, you should react to their 1st comeback Karma because It was based on Chinese king. They also used props and their stage was as Amazing. I would love to see you react to Karma and its live stage :)
8:27 that’s Kingdom’s Highnote Machine Ivan lol
9:01 and that’s Dann, this comeback’s King and 9:28 is also dann 😂👍🏼
9:57 yup it’s France and that’s Louis (representing French king Louis XIV the Great the sun king)
You really really NEED to react to their live performance specially of this song, they are insane, literally like watching a Play
check out their mv for the song "promise" (it was the kdrama looking clip that was teased at the end of the vid), i think you will really enjoy it if you liked this and as a musical theatre actress! would love to see your reaction to that!
Kingdom are so young but already so promising! Their concept is so unique too. And it's so nice to see that their company, even though it's small, clearly invests money in them.
That k-drama bit shows up again in their b-side video from the same comeback that was filmed together with Ascension.
Also, as a musical theatre actress you would probably enjoy Ateez, they're the closest to musical theatre that kpop has with their stage expression and choreos that are often narratives rather than dance routines (they had epic theatrical stages on the Kingdom competition show, especially these two - their song Wonderland remade using Dvorak th-cam.com/video/-uDitNeFO-I/w-d-xo.html and their cover of a rival group iKON's Rhythm Ta th-cam.com/video/Z4n06VT4H9w/w-d-xo.html both part of their overarching storyline). Alternatively you could take a look at one of their main dancers' Studio Choom Artist of the Month video which elevates thirst traps to a high art level in jazzy musical theatre style ;) th-cam.com/video/xhoPI50W6i8/w-d-xo.html Or start by meeting *the* Choi San, "the man who raised the standards of performance in kpop" th-cam.com/video/99LwG4B1q-I/w-d-xo.html
The way I screamed when you figured out exactly who was next. A lot of people aren't able to identify or differentiate the different European styles so this was really refreshing to see! The two Louis's we suspect he may, MOST LIKELY, have been named after is Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette's Louis (fans have found evidence to support these guesses)
So the kdrama was a teaser for their bside promise mv which is out now 😊
you need to react to their MV promise, its like a kdrama
Thank you for reacting! I hope you watch "Karma" next. The song and costumes are really pretty!
5:35 lol it’s a teaser for the mv they’ll release for the bside Song Of Dann (Promise)!! You have to check it out!
So to clear it out each member is inspired by a king but not based on them because for dann people say he is inspired by both dangun and danjong so they are their own king
You can check out black crown and karma
Karma is chiwoo story inspired by king chiyou China
It has a more similar traditional tone like this with the flute and other instruments and fans
The fans are used in both cultures but the sleeves dance which you can also see in oneus Luna as well which is traditional Korean dance form
Black crown which is inspired ivan the terrible, Russia and lord of the rings
That mv is more theatrical and has Russian ballet and also has more acting in that mv
Also check out promise mv which is their bside 😊
I love kingdom and surprisingly underrated sad people not noticing them even their live performance is godly theatrical. There's girl group who also underrated you got to check out Pixy (pixie).
I dont think its a dragon in the end. I think its a pheonix
