Lots of people have (quite rightly) praised the superb build of this boat. I, too, am full of admiration; the fully-detailed cabin and cockpit are gorgeous, as is the foredeck with its fittings...but I´d like to point out how pleasurable it is to watch such a well-made video. The close-ups, generous enough to allow us time to drink in the detail, and the fact that it´s largely shot from very low down, lend this video a professional quality and help the boat look full-size. Great work...
Love watching this vid . Beautiful boat ,tasteful filming , nice to see it on the waves ! Low level filming makes all the difference to realism , well done .
Very nice video shots and good editing. Very well detailed Queen but as you said, a bit too powerful. But on the other side - fun is fun, right ? :-) Enjoy your model and build more nice stuff out of your waste bin.
Nice boat & video, congrats! The motor is definitely too high in kv and that is the reason why the ESC gets overheated quickly. A 1700kv motor would be much more suitable. I have a Shockwave 36 boat which I converted to Brushless. It was originally nitro. I use a 2000kv Leopard motor on 16.8 volts NiMH batteries. Top speed is in the region of 25mph which is good enough for me. Best regards :-)
!Beautiful cruiser, fella. In slow motion you can see how it rides like the real deal, wake, cornering, and the sheeting bow spray is most excellent! Takes me back to a wonderful time. Would you publish the vessel's stats, like LWL, LD, weight, beam and such. Did you build it? Details are a real treat - the way you tricked out the cabin - just all around first rate. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Wouldn't you use a low KV out runner brushless motor ? I am trying to do this with a 40 inch tug but everyone says use a brushed motor instead. Did your ESC burn out because the boat needed more torque? Can't I program the ESC to give much less voltage for slower speed?
tiredfingers99 yes a less KV Motor could be a solution, but I always use parts from my rc-cars. I strongly recommend brushless motors for all purposes!
impressive model!...and yes a bit overpowered..I've just bought an aeronaut classic. they are really impressive kits, not that hard to build and almost every thing is included in the kit.
I thought that too. At times it appeared perilously close to flipping over in that swell..... I'm after an Aeronaut Queen kit myself, although I don't think I'll be fitting a motor this powerful..... My first thoughts when I read the intro were a 4600kv motor in a boat like this? Something like a 1200kv may have been better, with a slightly bigger propeller.
+Top Notch Lacrosse manufacturer is "aero-naut.de" - to be purchased at any hobby-shop (pls use google for your personal needs). Overall costs are around 200-400$ incl. electronics, small parts and expendable materials. Just depends on how much you would like to spend for the rc-stuff. It took me three months of work (1-2h per day ) plus two weeks of holiday. For some pictures of the built just check this out: www.schiffsmodell.net/index.php?/topic/11407-aeronaut-queen-mein-einstieg-in-den-schiffsmodellbau/#entry170059
ron runck the difference between the boat on the website and my built is the interieur. I didn't like the materials and design of the bridge and outside interieur, so I designed my own using real leather. The kit also doesn't include any parts or ideas for the cabine inside. But overall I build it as the kit instruction recommends.
It was a kit from "aero-naut". But it was not much more than a collection of wooden raw materials. It took three months of every day working on it. Here you can see some pictures of the construction phase: www.schiffsmodell.net/showthread.php?t=43651
Hi !

Beautiful detail the only thing missing is the miniature Captain.
Nice Filming too ⚓
KOMPLIMENT!!
One of the best model boat videos I've seen!
Well done sir!
Love watching this vid . Beautiful boat ,tasteful filming , nice to see it on the waves ! Low level filming makes all the difference to realism , well done .
Beautiful details. And it planes nicely too. Excellent work!
Cracking looking boat, well done on that quality finish.
Very classy and creative video of a lovely boat. Inspired me to buy one... thanks.

That boat looks AMAZING!!!! Beautifully made bro, wish I had a boat like that

nice model and very good footage. the slowmotion adds a lot of realism and make you enjoy it much more. i loved the water cooling exhaust shot
I like it, very nice boat vid. The details on the boat are awesome!

Amazing cam work 👍👍
Very beautiful, sehr Schoen, I make models, but not as fine as that. Please, where do you get the deck fittings?

Thinking of building one of these. Great video and lovely boat. Could you give me an idea of your
bilge pump setup, motor used etc.
Regards Martin.
very nice.
beatiful, i got a 2010 sea ray 45 Project,
Just bought one of these as a first build. Other than what comes in the box can anyone tell me what other essentials I'll need to put it together?
Super gemacht KLASSE!!!

VERY NOICE
Beautiful 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Any idea on the approximate scale of it?

4600kV motor will try to turn at 17000 rpm even on two lipo cells
did you modify it it looks different than on the website

THNX
Bad ass, was tha costume made or did it come like that?
THX man, did come as a kit, but improved in detail, added some interieur and overpowered it :-)
I meant custom and nice, looks really good. :D
