Yes! I love it. Blued steel and wood give me the warm fuzzies.
I have one that I bought from a buddy years ago. I shoot open sights and it seems accurate. No recoil pad and recoil seems heavier than my longer barreled H&R that I carry backpacking. Back in the day you could buy 30-30 ammo at most small town mom and pop stores.
heard the barrels for these were done from 30cal
surplus barrels no longer needed for machine guns
after ww2 ended
I just picked one up today. A 325-B in 30-30. I have a 340 in .222 Rem. They are great rifles. The 325, 325-A, 325-B, and 325-C models were built from 1947 to 1949 .
I have a 325-b I use for deer hunting and the only thing I wish it had was holes for a rail mount
I have also kept 325b
Tell me if you can , were these chambered in 35 Remington ? Anyone ?
@@christinamoneyhan5688 Not that I know of.
@@garyh1449 thank you, I could not find anything that said it was.👍
My uncle gave me a Stevens 325 when I was 14 to hunt with. I sold it after my first child was born, now I have 3 kids and have tracked down 3 of these rifles, I have a 325-A, a 325-C, and a Savage 340. One for each of them to hunt with. They're great safe low recoil starter guns.
Cool, I live in Stauton, VA. I will check out your shop. Stevens were made by Savage Arms. I think the stock is either birch or beech. 👍
And that's for the Stevens bolt action.
Forgot to mention that.
I have and use one of these guns to hunt. A number of years ago I had a scope mounted on it. A side mount. The gun is very accurate. I sight in to 100 yards. With reloads it can be a little fussy. I was not getting a good tight group at first. Then I adjusted the powder load and the group tightened up. I load Hornady flex tips with Revolution powder. By the way, the magazine holds only three rounds. I bought the gun from my father. It came with one magazine. I google searched for and found magazines for it. I bought one and it cost me $44 dollars.
The gun is actually manufactured by Savage…they sold originally in the late Forties for around $40 dollars.
I own a 325-C that belonged to my grandfather…definitely a cool, old, firearm.
Old gunsmith trick, for the rusty screws on that Winchester, use Kroil (available through Brownells), put one small drop on a pointed tool such as a scribe and apply it to the head of the screw.wait 24hours and they will come right out. Be sure to use the correct size screwdriver.
love the way they did the wrist/stock
... still regret not getting the first one I saw
5ish yrs ago for 2.5 bens but now I have
a Sav99 in 30-30 so if I never get one
I wont be as sad
Love old Savages
A great video had a hard time looking for this model , how can I purchase some clips?
mine got lost while moving out of town
Thanks in advance.
the lever safety on the win94
should also be there on your 1930s
like it is on mine from a few yrs prior
Just picked one up at a gun show for $225. Would have been $200 but I lost the coin flip.
I have one exactly like that but it has a scope mounted on it.
I inherited my grandpas 325-A. I'm thinking of striping it due to rust and looks like someone tried to spray paint and stain it, maybe my grandad. I dunno
I just bought one of those 30-30 and the front sight is missing. Do you have any idea where I could buy the front sight
Try Numrich Arms, Gun Parts Corp.
I have one. It was my dads. Well, mine is a C not the A.
I’d love to put a suppressor on that.
i am pickling one up just the normal 325 without a letter for basically around 280 is this a decent deal?
If in good shape, yea.
It was made by Savage
What's the website? I want that rifle.
You can find these on GunBroker.
I have a 325-c
