    Dave Hebler helped to push Elvis into the grave. His book, "Elvis What Happened" was written in spite and vengeance. It was a tell-all that exposed the worst things Elvis had done in his life. I am sure it was all true but who would want the world to know the worst things you had ever done? Answer? No one. Elvis was a proud man and the thought his fans and his family, his daughter would know about his drugs, his womanizing, his temper, was too much for him to deal with. It fueled his spiraling depression and chemical dependency. If you love Elvis it would be impossible to like Dave Hebler.

      His chemical dependency started a long earlier on. He dragged up 20 yrs with chemical substance and his body could not take anymore. Then he had to take more to be effect, a vicious cycle. Many times he went to hospital emergency room even before this stupid book. Their book is very disgusting or recording a private phone call with Elvis but its Elvis who put into his body. Drug addiction killed him. In a way it was a relief that a poor guy can rest in peace without pharmacy bonanza.

      Don't be so ignorant and stupid. The book was written in 1976 whilst Elvis was still alive. The way they were sacked was disgusting. Red, Sonny and Dave had the balls to question Elvis' pill addiction which ultimately cost him his life and they got fired for it. The biggest mistake they made was getting Steve Dunleavy to write it and had no control over the way it was worded. Of course they wrote the book for money and revenge on how they were treated.

    Mr. Hebler claimed in 1977 to be an expert in his field. I don't understand why his school closed; an expert who teaches and is an excellent teacher normally has a waiting list of people to join. Working for Elvis he claimed not making any money. Why not leave Elvis and get work making a lucrative salary utilizing your expert skills in your field of expertise? He also stated that Elvis was no good at Karate. In fact Hebler stated he'd never seen as bad regarding Elvis officiating a tournament at the request of expert, Ed Parker. Hebler stated many unkind things about Elvis including in the book EWH. I don't view him as a nice, trustworthy person and the proof is like I stated, his unkind words about Elvis and degrading him.

    • @stevo62ful
      @stevo62ful 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He's probably telling the truth about Elvis's Karate skills, there are rumours of Ed Parker and Khan Rhee receiving cash and gifts in return for promoting Elvis. Also Marty lacker mentions phoney Karate certificates from the Khan Rhee Institute in the book, Elvis and the Memphis mafia. Apparently Ed Parker gets very uncomfortable when asked about this.

    • @charlenedonovan8948
      @charlenedonovan8948 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@stevo62ful Hi Steve, thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate your feedback. Let's consider the source, the book, EWH. There are SO many twisted facts, lies, etc.. I suggest getting Joyce Vaughn's book, "Thirty Pieces of Silver: The Betrayal of Elvis Presley." Written by a black women who was brought up to hate Elvis. She did years of research before putting pen to paper. Dave Hebler made himself a part of that disgusting EWH book. All three of them did it for money and revenge. If they were so intelligent they would have researched the 'writer' they chose. But they have excuses that they were quoted incorrectly, and blah blah blah. Whatever. Hebler knew nothing about "Elvis the man and human being." And he worked for Elvis for only two years. Elvis stated he caused dissention which is something Elvis did not like in his fold. Red and Sonny were going to be rehired. Not Hebler. Common sense: Elvis was the 'sole' financial provider for his family and for his so-called friends. He could NOT perform Karate in full capacity, one hundred percent. He could not risk injuries and then not able to perform on stage. Elvis never did anything that wasn't 100% effort and focus, no matter what he pursued. He never waivered from how he was raised. The MMs think they knew 'everything' about Elvis. They were so sadly wrong and mistaken. Elvis did not trust them in entirety.

      @@mozfonky @mozfonky Yep agreed. Hebler sounds a complete fool.
      Below I'm just sharing a copy & paste that I saw from someone else from a martial Arts forum.
      Here it is. Long but informative
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      "Most people that try to downplay Bruce's abilities as "nothing more than film / acting martial arts" truly are delusional. They never honestly spent time researching enough about the martial arts world back in those days to know what so many OTHER renowned martial artists (many of which World class tournament Champion's like Chuck Norris, that acknowledged in their interviews Bruce was absolutely lethal. it was never a question to them that Bruce was probably one of the most dangerous Fighters they knew, inside the ring or outside.
      Many of them admitted they would not have wanted to go toe-to-toe, real world with no padding or tournament rules to save them.
      Dozens and dozens of these greats could not have been more matter of fact that in a real world squaring off, with no tournament rules involved, they stated Bruce Lee would have been an absolute nightmare for themselves to fight.
      These interviews with these other greats have been out there from decades ago back in the 1970s - 90s ...in countless hundreds of martial arts magazines, and even in some videos out there.
      Chuck Norris' fellow actor John Benn, said over dinner one night, he asked Chuck what would happen if he and Bruce had ever got in a real fight and Chuck didn't bat an eyelash, instantly saying - "Oh Bruce would kill me. No one in the world could touch Bruce"
      One of those magazines had an interview years ago from one of the other champions that witnessed Chuck Norris trying to turn up the heat a little on Bruce in a sparring match and within seconds Bruce turned the heat up much more than Chuck.
      Chuck was prepared.
      Bruce had Chuck tied up like a pretzel up against the wall trying to tap out, but Chuck couldn't because Bruce had him basically pinned against the wall.
      I remember he said Bruce didn't say anything but had a smile on his face like ... "Want to try this again Chuck? I can do this all day if that's how want to play".
      Chuck peeled himself off the wall and had a very humbled disposition after that
      😆 lmao
      Chuck of course has never admitted these things in public.
      Shame though. He would find people actually would respect him more if he just admitted.
      Jim Kelly is one of other Champions from that era that comes to mind that said it was hard for him to put into words just how great Bruce was.
      Jim said Bruce spared a lot of other well-knowm martial arts champions, but Jim refused to say their names to spare them the embarrassment of saying their names in his interviews ..by not outing them. Jim said this because what he knew was these martial Arts karate champions attempted to square off with Bruce and it always ended up embarrassing for them as they had never actually squared off with anyone as fast, intense or as strong as Bruce.
      It was almost life changing and very humbling for some of them.
      Jim was a class-act. He didn't want to embarrass anybody, but he also wanted to make it known that Bruce dominated Champions when they tried to spare him
      Jim is not the only one saying these things.
      There are many other people from Martial Arts world that have expressed very similar detailed incidents in their own interviews.
      Karate kickboxing champion Joe Lewis, one of the premiere greats of that era, said in multiple different interviews over the years that pound-for-pound Bruce was one of the strongest man he ever sparred with, and that Bruce actually punched like a heavyweight.
      He also noted Bruce was absolutely the fastest human being he ever saw with his own eyes.
      "It was completely overwhelming for me. I was stunned & in awe at same time"
      James DeMille spoke similar words.
      A renowned Street Fighter in his community as a young man, a very feared individual, as well as a large man. His stories always one of my favorites. By James own admitting (and humility .....something Chuck Norris could learn from) James admitted in one interview he had such a reputation as being Fearless and not a man anyone else in the community wanted to fight, that when he first met Bruce his ego was such that he was almost skeptical of Bruce and didn't really take Bruce or what Bruce was trying to demonstrate as very serious.
      Bruce dared James to throw his hardest punch at him.
      James, nearly twice Bruce's size, was hesitant not wanting to harm Bruce, but finally decided to throw a jab.
      Before James knew what happened Bruce had locked up James arm and was tapping him on the forehead (almost mocking James for being too slow)
      James was baptized that day.
      He met the Lord ...... (of martial arts) and literally became one of Bruce's disciples.
      There are so many countless documented stories like this from legitimate verified people, I could go on and on, but you get the point.
      Most of these clowns out there that continually try to tell themselves "Bruce wasn't that great" or "he was just a film martial artist" have the benefit of saying that, knowing that they will never have to square off with Bruce.
      More rational folks like ourselves though, we realize that the words of many of the other greats over the yeard that have already admitted and acknowledged why there is no real debate.
      There was only respect for Bruce.
      They knew they wouldn't have known what happened if they got into a martial arts fight with someone of Bruce's abilities.
      I do think though that part of the ignorance from some of these Bruce Lee doubters is they just have never met anyone even remotely close to Bruce Lee's abilities, so their brain cannot honestly process the possibility of a martial artist with Bruce's special abilities being Superior to a professional tournament fighter.
      It's the only way to I guess to explain the Supreme ignorance among them.
      So it's easier for them to not do the honest research and play ignorant about what truly made Bruce so much more than just a film martial artist"
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      My researching to check some this info from that guy above proved it as true.
      And again, Dave Hebler was absolutely ridiculous in his statement. Haha

    In 1991, Graceland was placed on the National Register of Historic Places,[1] and in 1999 EPE purchased and redeveloped what became The Elvis Presley Heartbreak Hotel.[3]
    According to Sean O'Neal, "Elvis is a cultural icon today, but he didn't become that way simply because of his talent and good looks. There was money to be made ... so a company was founded to create this icon, and it has controlled his image ... " The author describes EPE as a "well-run marketing machine" that runs on tight regulation of Elvis's images and lawsuits, when necessary. EPE, for instance, "absolutely refuses to license a product picturing an overweight Elvis." Since 1979 "EPE has filed more than a hundred lawsuits to assert the estate's exclusive right to Elvis's name and likeness."[6]
    Later, EPE was wholly owned by the "Elvis Presley Trust" and Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley until February 2005, when Robert F.X. Sillerman and his new media and entertainment company "CKX, Inc." acquired an 85% interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., including its physical and intellectual properties. "Core Media Group", the new name of "CKX, Inc.", sold its 85% interest in EPE to Authentic Brands Group on 19 November 2013.[7] Lisa Marie Presley retains a 15% ownership in the company and continues to be involved, as does her mother Priscilla Presley. Lisa Marie retained sole ownership of the mansion itself, as well as her father's personal effects.
    The company endeavors to turn Elvis Presley's former estate into an international tourist destination. Graceland is the most visited private residence in the United States and world.
