Imagine this show and the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! had a crossover. It would be amazing. 1969 Scooby and Shaggy and Brenda would scared and hide from which monsters would scare them off. 1969 Velma, Dee-Dee, 1969 Daphne, Taffy, Cavey and 1969 Fred would try to find the clues of which mystery they come across. Cavey and 1969 Scooby would get along and joke with one another. & Taffy and 1969 Scooby would have cute moments.
Its funny, but very interesting at the same time, that Captain Caveman & The Teen Angels somehow lasted longer than the other Scooby-Doo Mystery Solving Clones that came out during the 1970s Era of Hanna-Barbera.
Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels was Hanna-Barbera's attempt to cash in on the success of The Scooby-Doo Show on abc and its 1st attempt to cash in on the success of Charlie's Angels Dee Dee, Brenda & Taffy had a mix of Velma, Daphne & Fred mixed with Sabrina, Kelly & Jill Fact: In 1977, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels arrived on abc that same season Cheryl Ladd joined the cast of Charlie's Angels
Technically, Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels (along with Cavey Jr.) did end up appearing in Jellystone. Heck, even before that, both Dee Dee Sykes and Captain Caveman appeared in SCOOB! before.
I remembered when I was a kid, I used to yell 'CAPTAIN CAAAAVEMAAAN!!!', then my mom scolded me, saying am I trying to bring down the house or waking the neighbours?!.... Lol
Honestly I’m surprised any of the bad guys in this show had the guts to threaten the Teen Angels- with how freakishly strong Cavey is, I’d be more worried about him deciding to bash my skull into fragments for threatening his friends.
I remember BBC used to broadcast these on Thursday afternoons back then and now I`ve the complete series on DVD by Warner Home Video [but only on Region 1], and it`s a fantastic TV series and fantastic voice of Captain Caveman by Mel Blanc.😊😁💯❤♋
