Flash actually has one of the easiest times anti airing hellboy out of anyone. You wait for the initial leap, then react to the air dash and then d2. People make the mistake of trying to aa before the airdash and get beat out because he crosses up after it.
Between 8:50 to 9:10 sylverrye had to accumulate some salt. Not only did he not get his hour confirm off that jump in string. He also didn't get his back 3 punish AND he opened him up like 4 times lol

If it stayed on the same hand then he would have either different hitboxes based on side, one shorter because of the hand being further away, or invisible hitboxes. If he kept his back to you on one side his visual cues would be unrecognisable as the same attack and be harder to learn. It's the same in every fighting game like vega in sf5 and his claw hand, it swaps. Freddie in mk9 had two gloves because of this.
At lower levels you can legit just rely on hellboy and you'll win. Just abuse his leap, gunshots, b3 and the charge. Unless a player is significantly better than you, hellboy will carry you. I can't see his weaknesses except from maybe zoners that low profile and have good anti-airs, how's the hellboy, green arrow mu?
Bruce Batson hellboy ain't carrying a newish player requires execution to get them leap cancels right and hellboy is one of the best anti zoners in the game...
Bounce that Shit trust me there's a way to use execution heavy characters in an unskilled way. With hellboy sit back, pew pew and leap. If your opponent is getting close, do a b3, combo if it hits and if the opponent blocks you have enough plus frames to mash. Also what's the inputs for a leap cancel, i don't have hellboy.
NiNi Neko it's a solid strategy that can win you matches. About as reliable as taking Starfire, zoning and running away and meter burn rolling when you reach the corner then repeat.
How to stop his leaps, tell the player of Hellboy to stop. Don’t forget to say *Please*
Easy, whenever Hellboy starts using his crazy leaps you just need to follow these steps:
1) Pause the game
2) Go to Quit Match
3) Leave

How to stop Hellboy from leaping? As a Hellboy main, I can tell you the answer is as simple as a Down 2 or a Jumping 1.
