@@mcctravel Just don't drive it in salt if you're in the salt belt states. I had a vintage car for almost 20 years it was a lot of fun and met a lot of friends at car shows, cruise ins and the drag strip, (I had a 66 400 hp Galaxie 500 XL) it's a lot of fun and my car never broke down on me
Good show. The old guy met his match and more with Groucho and he knew it. I don't think anybody has ever been quite as fast-thinking and witty as Groucho. No one before or since like him.
Thanks for posting these wonderful shows. My wife and I were born about ten years after these aired originally, but they were still being aired on reruns. We grew up on these and many other classic TV shows. Back then we only had 5 channels! :)
SuperWinterborn She was something else, all right. No wonder they had her on the show 3 times! I'm so glad I finally got a copy of the middle of these three shows (thanks to a very nice guy in Australia who sent it to me).
I know, with her italian accent and with her obvious confidence in her pizza, it has to be one of the best! I can't even hear an italian name without it making me hungry (lol) I love great food, and the italians are absolute geniuses at it!
That $5,000 would be about $55,000 in today's money. I liked Groucho, he was very funny, and a perfect fit for this show. We'll see if Jay Leno can cut the mustard, lol.
Yep. 100 doesn’t seem like much to the losers but it’s 1000 today which isn’t too bad. It helps to understand how saving money in a can works. Saving 100 in a can then would only be worth 100 now. It’s better than spending it all back then though. Keeping up with inflation is important. If you gained every year though you could do well. I’ve been learning about that lately because of things my family did.
They screwed that old guy. Where did King Arthur have his court? Oh well, common practice in those days. There was no mercy on the questions for foreign people either. And Betina was 100% correct.
I am hooked ❤all the shows. Groucho is hilarious 😂
That elderly couple killed me. She’s a sweetheart and hope she found someone to cook for.
Love watching these old episodes
Groucho is so sweet wish I could have met him
I LOVE WATCHING ALL THESE!
Thanks for uploading them.
🙏🏽
Can I still buy the DeSoto $2732.35

six of one. I agree completely!!
And i don"t think there will ever be one to match Groucho.

@@Groucho-tg1tx unfortunately, rickles was pretty repetitive, as for groucho, he just got funnier and funnier with consistent new funny lines
What a hilarious show!
what a great episode
My mother had those ventilator curlers in the bathroom and laying around the house. They were pink. I remember them during this commercial.
Love Benita! She is so funny and a real sweetheart.
"Betina"
Love Groucho and Bettina was great too! Manny lovely and sharp!
Bettina .~. The Best!!!

joegon72 Now we all have 500 channels, and less to watch of any real worth than when we had 5. :)
True!
We had two channels, and there was always something to look forward to every night of the week.
So did we and were probably lived and watched the same things.
Ouch! My cheeks hurt from laughter after listening to the incredible Betina Console and her reluctant partner! :D

Groucho Marx - You Bet Your Life I remember her from earlier episodes and yes, it is obvious why she was invited back! ;)
She's a real card, lol.

Betina ❤️
Sixty years later and I can almost smell those pizzas.

Really excellent show ! Great fun !
Manny. Born in 1880. Coolness.
He was 10 years older than Groucho
Grandmother of Rosanne Rosanna Danna.
Hahahaha..quite possibly related to Rosanna!
Was going to point out the similarity also.
This show really revived Groucho's career.
1880 wow this is history as well as entertaining 👌

The value of money in 2023 is 9-10X it's value in the mid-50's
Another perfectly wonderful
show gets top Marx from me!
Man Groucho was a very quick wit , like lightning
This show has been revived several times, with good comedians, but they couldn't revive the magic of the original.
500 years from now , people will still be enjoying groucho
Now you know why no one watches TV today nothing comes close.
U so said it. U have to go back about 60 years or more to get something worth watching
Anyone know what happened to the spinning wheel which also had a duck?
It was sold on one of the Antique Road show programs. Evidently there were 2 of them used
To answer his opening query, it's duck or hen (in ornithology.
I would love to see the episode with the then young senator from Mass. Jack Kennedy.

I thought they were Hubcaps.
Let him stay free!!!
Duck or hen is a female duck. A male is a drake, or a duck.
That lady is 29 but looks about 39
6m53 ... so what's the psychology behind the 25c part of the price? Is this before they invented 99c on the end of every price?
Groucho sure is selective about who he tells to 'Talk it over with your partner'.
OMG! One look at those pizzas - and I'm not hungry...
Your loss, looks are deceiving
from 1960..every american mustve known about Camelot ..thanks to Lerner and Lowe

So brilliant in 2021. In UK only Morcombe and Wise were funnier
the old guy should of gambled
Jay Leno is remaking Groucho's show You Bet Your Life, I hope he is going to pay respect to the great Groucho
