      Thank you for the feedback, Duane. This is really helpful for us, especially because we're the ones doing all the editing we'll certainly take this into account for future videos :-)

    The speaker makes a great job! Wish I had this energy to convey in a video.

    I like your given examples to conduct TBL. It helps us to relate with it authentically.

    Great video thanks. You have a very a inspiring energy and the presentation was very well done. If I may add some criticism, the background music was a bit disturbing and broke my concentration. To my opinion it is too loud.

      Thank you for the feedback, Osay Oday. As we shoot and edit the videos ourselves, we are in the process of learning how to do it more effectively, so this is very helpful. One thing you could do is use the subtitles feature available on TH-cam. How it helps! :-)

    Great video! Thanks a lot. Now, how do you work with beginners?

    • @WhatisELT
      @WhatisELT  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Working with beginners can indeed be trickier. What you can do is design tasks that are simpler and require less complex language to be achieved, like designing new English signs for the school, creating an ad for a flat on Airbnb etc. What do you think?

    • @nicknikle5887
      @nicknikle5887 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WhatisELT Cool! I was also thinking that the tasks could be a tad more guided and they could be given the phrases to be used..or would this go against the idea of TBL?
      One more thing, can it be used when teaching one-on-one?
      Thanks a lot!
      This year I'll definitely give this approach a try.

    • @WhatisELT
      @WhatisELT  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nicknikle5887helping students with some language they could use in the task is helpful for beginners. One could say that, yes, it is not exactly what the approach aims at, but what I like about teaching is that we can pick and choose features of different methods and approaches in order to design lessons that are as effective as we manage to, always having students' needs as the priority 😉

    Speaker needs to speak slower and some of the words are not very clear! Maybe add written text while she speaks as it will make it easier to follow.
