- “If you just study joy and rejoicing in the Word, you’re going to see that that’s God’s desire for us, right now. It’s ‘rejoice evermore,’ not ‘be miserable and somber always.’ This is what God wants for us, and a part of that is humor. It’s a great aspect of life that people might be missing out on because of an overreaction of fear.”

One clean fun comedian I love is Jeanne Robertson. Finding humor in everyday situations is her goal and she’s tremendous. Unfortunately she fell asleep last year, but she has tons of TH-cam videos that are pure fun entertainment! The world needs that! Many thanks!

Another excellent conversation and a surprisingly serious look at humor. Ironically this episode showed Christians should be serious about their humor, but by doing so we can be funny and minister grace. Another important topic for our time covered, great job everyone!

God bless you Hunter and staff: I heard a bell announcing the podcast, still in bed here in the west coast. I am a faithfully listeners of our ministry podcast, so this was my 1st thing AM. The podcast are so soulful, put my morning at peace, easy, especially after an earthquake we had yesterday. But during the podcast you started to talk about Penny and I immediately thought about my way disciples sister, her name is Penny. As you continue to narrate about her sense of humor I knew it’s her because she only had one adult son. When we finished our 6-months tenure her son to pick her up on graduation day at Mount Vernon, ILL. This reminds me of God sense of humor, having finding out about this “sweet & sour news” how my sister still keeps her sense of humor during adversity, because she knows who holds her right hand. Plus the promise that we have when the Lord Christ Jesus returns. Thanks so much Hunter and all of the staff, collaborators that make this podcast possible and the work that goes behind the microphone. God bless. Some thoughts on humor (60 years of punning, etcetera): Philippians 2:13 ( He can!) and, "Receive the Word of Wisdom". Every situation is different. I use humor to put people at ease, or to lighten a
situation.
