The criticism of the media on the cover of the mother album just reached the peak, when even church representatives felt compelled to enter into this criticism. There was no better time to hold up a mirror to the church. The song "Zeig Dich" shows what Rammstein thinks of the rules in the church.
I saw them last week here in the UK (the fourth tour that I have seen). It is a continuation of the stadium tour that got interrupted by Covid, but that does mean that there have been able to include 4 songs from ‘Zeit’ and 4 from the previous, eponymous, album. The rest are all of the songs that you would want to see. It’s probably the most spectacular staged of their shows to date.
No they are not lip syncing.. while watching I did hear Richards voice on top of the female voice and someone else mentioned that it was track from the studio version? So yes. When i first heard this song i thought oh ok female vocal but when I actually saw them performing i was like wait that can't be them actually singing but then i heard Richards vocals first then Pauls so then I was like oh i see...ahh ok cool that makes sense..cause i was pretty sure it wasn't them singing that high but I also knew that they wouldn't be faking it or lip syncing. Its something that I don't believe any member of Rammstein would ever do.. so when I heard Richards and pauls voice come through I was thinking see i knew they wouldn't fake anything!😄🤘💯
This song is about corruption in the church, but really could be applied to corruption anywhere. Where there is organization, there is corruption. It's a dirty little aspect of human nature that will always be with us, yet the desire to see that corruption gone is also an aspect of human nature. Humanity and morality are very complex things, and no band I've heard is better at driving that home than Rammstein.
Well, I think that when somebody is not allowed to have an intimate relationship for his whole life, he might develop some weird preferences. Great reaction as usual

Maybe watch the live on Rammsteins channel and read the lyrics before/after? The MSG live is miles better than the music video version, especially for a reaction

Don't get too involved personally...they aren't afraid of any "controversial" subject like Weiner Blut etc...they bring it to the forefront and smack you in the face with it...this song is such skull crusher...Till writes amazing lyrics but for me and I appreciate every band member but Flake just brings it EVERY FUCKING TIME...which is incredible for keyboard/ synth...I think about all of their songs and how different they'd be without him...keep up the great reactions!
One of Till's many skills is to paint sometimes hideous but always vivid pictures with his lyrics. Here, you also have the religious sounding keyboards from Flake, the falsetto voices from Richard and Paul suggestive of choirboys and everything being driven into your skull by Ollie's bass and Schneider 's drums. The performance also adds to the overall creep factor. The theme reminds me why I'm an atheist. Perversion of th e bible teachings for your own ends deserved calling out and Rammstein are the band to do it. They're not afraid to tackle any subject.

It's bout having 'power', 'reciving trust', being untouchable for the law and even for their 'God'. Sure, cause he turns God simple away. No witness, no crime. And fact is, that in the last decades to many priests, holy men, yes, also christians, got caught. Because people startet to talk bout it. 100,200 years ago it already happened, but it was a 'tabu'. No eyes, no ears, no mouth, you know. Rammstein had to make such 'right in your face', such brutal honest Songs. Or this would be forgotten again quite fast.
