It's true that handicrafts are very cheap in Africa. I have visited Surajkund Mela twice and the African stalls sell their handicrafts at very affordable prices. I have seen them selling big wooden artifacts at Rs.700-800, which seems cheaper than even Indian handicrafts. You can imagine how cheap they can be if bought in Africa.
