I find Karen's vocal style (as opposed to her voice itself) annoying. (McCartney sometimes gets into similar territory.) But as far as I have "ears to hear", Richard's attempt to write a song Goodbye to Love, which was completely AWOL in the movie of the same name, really "knocked it out of the park". Speaking of McCartney ... I note that Richard Carpenter, in his cover of the Beatles cover of Please Mr. Postman, basically copied McCartney's bass part. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
