Just so you know, the "everything else" @7:11 is known as a torque converter. Thanks for the video. It helped me more than any other video I've seen about this exact problem.
My daughter has a 07 Arctic Cat 90, luckily I couldn't find anything else so I figured I'd watch yours, and I can already tell this is the exact problem! Starter teeth were perfect, and I already took apart the CVT cover but I didn't take it down that far! Thanks
I got into the same thing with a Polaris Sportsman 90.. There is one clutch for the 2001-2006 then another for the 2007-2014 models. They may look the same, but they aren't.
Great video! I have an issue with my starter also. I think mine may be same problem, but not sure and trying to avoid just throwing parts at it. What symptoms were you experiencing? My starter still works but it acts like it’s worn out or doesn’t have a good battery but battery is good. Like it’s a worn starter issue but after your video I’m not so sure. Can you provide more on what the Atv did while trying to start?
Hi Javier, How is it going ? Please, could you help me ? Did you manage to discover the original gear of your polaris, number and why it is smaller? , because mine happened the same problem, its size was smaller, but it didn’t work using only the clutch. Thank you so much Marcelo - Brazil
Sorry I did not. Since it ended up working with what I purchased i just left it like that. All I remember is looking according to the year model of quad.
