Do you connect this XLR to 1/4 cable (Portacapture X6 and X8 for DJs) only to one XLR socket? Do you get a stereo or mono signal? Is it possible to set the port as stereo in Tascam X6?
that’s why it’s good to have! I had situations where the y cable saved the day but many times I don’t need it and I can plug in directly or can take the out of the speaker. In the heat of the action it’s good to have tools like adapters and y cables to make some thing work!

I like to record the mics to their own tracks and take a feed from each track of the mixer for mics ( usually phono ) and from the channel they use for the decks so music and vocals are seperate, line out is cool but it smooshes everything together... Watch out for some dj's having multiple mics if not using line out though!!

Yes its possible!
That Y cable may not work. especially if the DJ is using a Crossover thats feeding a 5kw amp!
you may need 3 beefier ones!
