Imagine this. You go to a junior high school talent show in Oslo, Norway to support the local school's extracurricular activities. All of a sudden 12 year old Angelina takes the stage and shyly announces she'll be singing James Brown's It's a Man's World. Given how impressed you are today, can you imagine how much more blown away you'd be in that scenario not knowing her talent beforehand.
Yeah, that would definitely be one of those WTF moments, Jerry.
I'm guessing you have seen her first two songs in her run to winning of Norway's Got Talent. If you haven't you should, they are quite remarkable.
@@davidcochran6291 i've watched every video numerous times. If the King Family had reacted to a song when Angelina was 5 yrs old i would simply have inserted " kindergarten" for the phrase " junior high school" in my post.
Two things. A twelve year old just sang this!, and Christina's smile could light the universe.
You chose the right version (IMO). The other one is definitely better audio quality, but it is worth the lower quality audio just to watch how effortlessly she does this. This is master level vocals right here. It's not just that she did this great for a 12 year old, she did this incredible... for any age. The amount of flavor and soul she pours into this one is off the charts.
Now, c'mon, Rusty. You know she was only 11.

She belts when she feel the need
Yes it is, while she has endless shades of timbre when she sings soft....
You would think at the end of the performance she’d be looking for a chair to sit down and catch her breath. What does she do? She looks relaxed, smiles, and curtsy as if it’s not a big deal. Another day another gem polished by Angelina.

Rarely do we see a curtsy nowadays. I don't think I have seen anyone doing a curtsy in the last few years. This little girl is from the old days.

It was the occasion of their 200th anniversary. The song comes from their album, Its Magic, and on it you can hear Angelina with twelve more gems, including two of her own, all recorded when she was still 11 years old.
This girl is insane
Angelina in beast mode. Here gimme that song ... bam! Game over! The high wind was a clarinet. The conductor was impressed with Angelina's first blast note. The seated clarinet player was awed by her finish.
She owns and totally slays every song she does. She is an amazing singer regardless of her or anyone else's age. As you listen to more and more of her, your favorite song will change as you hear more and more of her remarkable talent. She has plenty more really mind blowing performances waiting for you to see and hear.

A huge thank you to Boris Palenovski. He was able to record these private video recordings during the concert. I am unable to operate a video camera during Angelina's performance. The facial expression of the big band boss at 4:06 is priceless. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Angelina and the band have worked together many times including the CD "It's magic" and got standing Ovation. ✌️😎🇩🇪🇪🇺💯

The video was capture by our very own Boris Palenovski with his camera or phone and thanks to him we could experience this concert. Maybe the balance between Angelina's voice and the band was not perfect but we can see how "easy" it is for her to get into the "groove" of this genre. Out of this world!
Guys..she's the real deal..we are soo lucky to be around to watch this wonderful musical gift evolve over the years into someone who will soon be a household name imo..love your reaction guys..she killed this one!
Thank you for another wonderful reaction to Angelina. We are very fortunate that Boris Palenovski, one of Angelina's most knowledgeable fans obtained permission to record this video, as there was no official recording of it. Regardless of the fact that
there has been no attempt to balance the sound, Angelina's's voice overcomes that to a large degree. I would have liked to have been present at this concert - indeed any performance of Angelina's.
I fear for you, though! This was your 9th reaction to Angelina and at this point I feel I should caution you that if you continue, you are in danger of being infected with the incurable virus know as "Angelina-itis". Once you have it you will have an insane desire to keep listening to her. In reality, this is the only way you can relieve the sense of loss, of something missing from your life, if you ignore her.

I could be wrong but I believe that the band was Norway Royal Army Band. Yes she did nail it like she has on every other song she has sung
And your right I don't like comparing her to other great artist. But you never hear anyone try to compare and great artist to her,WHY because no one can compare her to anyone because she is in a field of her own.

It was a clarinet. And, yes, she was clearly greatly influenced by Christina Aguilera's vocal arrangement on this song. (At the end she basically "directly quoted" her.)

I want to say that she has only done one Aguilera cover, and that was “Hurt” when she was 5ish and still wearing shoes lol. I could be wrong. Christina in Burlesque with Cher was out of this world. My favorite musical. In few years imagine Angie playing Ali and Diana playing Tess. Though Angie is a bit reserved for the role, at the moment.

It sounded more like a piccolo but it was reedy, so probably clarinet.

She's 12!!!!! HOW???? The only time Angelina is ever uncomfortable on stage, is when she is being applauded. Did you catch the conductor look over at her during that last part of the song? He looks over like, "Did I just hear that?" Between Angelina and Daneliya we have just about every thing covered. Covered by a pair of 14 yr.olds. It is hard to say, I too can hear Christina in there. I love Christina but sometimes I get the sense she isn't always in the song. Angelina seems to be in every one of her songs. It is a fine line that singers walk between that of being in the song and not being in the song. It is hard to prove but you can hear it and feel it in your soul. I never feel that way with Angelina. So happy to see that you have discovered Angelina Jordan. What about getting known with two other norwegians, Aurora and Sigrid (they are friends)? At the samme time you can confirm what`s in the norwegian water. Sigrid is completely different from the other two. She won the BBC Sound 2018 (pop-music), a big achievement. They both have a big fanbase around the world. Aurora is extreme talented in so many ways. Be sure her fans will visit you from around the world.
