The fact Sims can live through community lots is so funny to me.. imagine going to your job in the gym and finding out a girl sleeping in an armchair, taking food from the cafeteria and showering in the bathroom
When I was at uni my shower broke for a month and I used the gym shower every morning. Might have been the healthiest month of my life 😂 might have to try sleeping at the gym soon
@@ryanplaysthesims oh, I am 43 and just recently needed a few repairs in my bathroom, so I showered at the sports club for a couple of days. Gotta put that monthly fee to some use 😂
Wonder if you can survive just by mooching with a Sim that has the "Mooch" trait. I think mooching is a hidden skill, too, and improves as you keep mooching off others.
Weird that you should say that. I recorded that exact video for about an hour and was at hidden mooch skill one still by that point. I had to abandon it because I was getting nowhere 😂 I still might do it with mods to change the speed of it though!
I know it isn't on brand for Ryan to make something easier for himself, but you can actually make this a whole lot easier if you play for tips inside of a subway. You get tips at a very steady rate and you can increase your earnings by playing compositions. I've had sims make 500+ simoleons from a single tip, and you get a tip roughly every 30 to 60 sim minutes.
I remember how much it earns you. As long as you don’t get mugged for being in the subway it was crazy money! Would have been a very short video if I used the subway though 😂
@@threnody789yup, low chance, and with lucky trait even lower(basically never). At most i have lost a few thousands per mugging, also depending on family budget
Hey Ryan, I know your videos are a lighthearted space but I want to thank you for providing the much needed laughter. I'm going through a pretty rough time right now and your videos are amazing for my chronic anxiety. They make my day and mean a lot so thanks. ☺️
Hey Kayleigh, thank you so much for commenting that. I really hope you’re okay but I want you to know that it’s okay to not feel your best all the time. I had generalised anxiety disorder so I know it’s awful. I actually put a lot of me getting over it to this channel. Just know that it does get better and if you need anything I’m not just a man on the screen, I can help ☺️ never suffer alone
@@ryanplaysthesims Thank-you so much for the lovely response! It truly meant the world. I'm very grateful to find your videos and this little pocket of the internet. Finding people who can relate is half the battle often. Again, thank-you for the content and your compassion toward your fans. ☺️ I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
it easily goes from the worst to the best most cheesed way of making money once you start playing in the subway. you can easily make 20k+ a day and usually higher than that if you play for a long time
this was an amazing video. It is sad that you got bored after a while, but it was so fun to watch. and I work off of skills all the time in my games and you can earn a good amount! Can’t wait for more videos🔥🔥
noooo part 2 please! this was so much I wanna whats in the chest! And wheter Mary is a mermaid or not this was so much fun! and btw thanks for videos you're really great!!
I would love to see this challenge in TS2, as you can earn tips sooner, as well as ask others with instruments to join (without even forming a band). While you can begin to earn tips sooner, you cannot go to other households, nor raid any fridges, but you can shower at gyms, and cook or eat food others make on community lots with grills. Unless (or until you get accepted at the music and dance hidden lot, at enthusiasm level 5), you will need to skill up on home lot (unless you add mods). I suggest if you do try this challenge, you begin in spring, as you will need a sink and roof, if you choose to start in summer. You cannot buy a sleeping bag, but can buy a tent, but can only use on home lot or vacation destinations (which can be costly). Also, you should buy a cell phone early on, as sims do not start out with one, like in TS2 & 3. You will want to take advantage of group outings, for social, tips and gifts. Try getting your aspiration level high, because you can skill up faster, as well as take advantages of other perks. Secondary aspirations are great too, and make sure you keep getting those aspiration perks. As for other challenges, I would love to see you begin a build a world challenge in TS2 (you can do so in TS3, but world building is easier in TS2, as you can begin with a blank slate, adding in as you go (i.e. roads, ponds, etc.). I am uncertain if it peaks your interest, as it is even more time consuming than legacy challenges. I also like the Lepacy Challenges of Sims 3, where each new generation (after reaching YA), starts adding in with a new EP (there are different flavors, which make this super fun). The great part about it, is the challenge can be keeping only the EPs you want installed after unlocking, keeping only the current EP, or everyone unlocked. I know most variations have your sim move to the world shipped with each EP, but with the packs that either do not ship with a world (Seasons/Generations), or sub-worlds (World Adventures/University Life/Into the Future), or extremely laggy worlds (Island Paradise), you can substitute Store Worlds, or download and install clean templates for any laggy/buggy (Bridgeport) worlds. Honestly, I just love how you try so many new things❣👏
Also, would love to see you do collabs with other TH-camrs. I think both you and @Tytar would be a smashing hit. @Marticore and @April Black are others that will blend well with your sense of humor too. There are others, that perhaps you might like to work with, as well as others that your followers can suggest too?
love the new vid Ryan!!!!! glad to see that the 3 month period is over and u can focus more on the channel :) but dont stress about posting all the time you're already feeding us with 2 live streams + 1 vids a week!
Thanks for that, I’m trying to find the right balance between posting loads and blitzing through all my content ideas! I’m so glad I started this channel though so you’ll definitely be seeing more of me

@la_beatrice if they don’t want us to live there then why are they charging us what is basically rent? 😂
I was homeless for four years, thank the gods for the kindness of strangers like that.
When my shower broke I was taking shower at swimming pool and my husband at gym for 3 weeks 😂
Ryan this is your best "rags to riches" house. I thought it was cute.
"i should probably get a toilet.. noo ! not a toilet. i have grass i can piss on." that SENT ME

Yes, basking in Bridgeport is very profitable. 💲💲💲
You can also add subway stations to any community lot (in the community lot objects section in Build Mode) outside of Bridgeport 😊
Also if you start a jam session which you can do at level 0 I think you can already get tips even before being able to actually play for tips
Half an hour of sims Ryan your spoiling us
When he made your bed just to relax on it, killed me 😂😂
Is actually really easy at Bridgeport becouse if you use it at the subwey they will give you a lot of money for play it there haha

I just tried to do this challenge - i don’t understand how were you so successful, no one was paying attention to me 😭 only 2-3 people gave me tips
Try seeing if you can earn enough money to build a house by dumpster diving
You’ve read my mind! That’s already on my list of videos 😂
@@ryanplaysthesims I'd give yourself a full 7 days to do it if you do try this.. 💖
this is how ed sheeran did it
The Demi Lovato reference cracked me up 😂😂😂
I didn’t even know who I was referencing, I’ve just heard it so much 🤣
@@ryanplaysthesims 😂 I was going to say you don’t strike me as someone who has that sort of music taste but you never know haha! Great video!
If you play in the city and take the train entrances you can earn so much money with the guitar. It’s almost cheating
Excellent American accent there 0:46
Unlike playing the sims well, some things just come so naturally to me
New form of self torture
I tried to do a homeless challenge it was so hard
I found from the rags to riches challenge the best way to make money was paintings and becoming a writer it was a lifesaver for my next challenges!

Sims 3 is so nostalgic for me love these videos!
More sims 2&3 content!! I love seeing the challenges you come up with. This one was so creative!
The only way I can get a Sim to earn a living at music is if you have a subway.
I just found ur channel yesterday and I have been binging lol. I love it
I love this! Hope you’re enjoying the channel. I forget about the old stuff a lot but I hope you enjoy that too because I don’t remember it 🤣
The end result of the house is really not bad 🎉
people give your sims tips when they start a jam session too, though i'm not sure if they do that before the sim is level 5

so excited for 3 videos per week! 🤩
This has inspired me to start playing again and to do the rags to riches challenge 😊
You should! Playing it again has been so much fun

Jack Bunch immediately showing interest in another woman is very on brand for him.
If you select the «Jam» option on your guitar, you can get tips before level 5! :)

0:48 we need a full song cover
That skill challenge is worded so badly. The only way to complete it is to complete 10 guitar opportunities.
Is that what you have to do?! I gave up on it because I thought I was just going down a rabbit hole at that point 😂

you should do the Sims 3 100 baby challenge.
Playing for tips in Bridgeport is op because you can play for tips in the subway and you get sooooo much much money from that.
that house is awesome
That was so much fun hahaha
Ryan do alien toddler challenge
Or rag to riches with alien babies
If you did this in bridgeport it would be more successful by playing for tips in the tunnels
Next video idea: using horses to make money
I did this! My most successful rockstar sim!
I did this last week
1:27 6:47 8:15 14:23 17:08 20:10 20:50 21:50
