I saw the original production, but unfortunately missed this cast. Amazing performance! Admittedly, the set seems a little lacking, but still an amazing show, especially considering it was travelling. Im happy to have found a slime tutorial for this cast :)
I SAW THEM AROUND A MONTH AGO !! thanky ou so much for posting this!!! i always wanted to see the commander and this anastasia again- their voices were beyond amazing!
I wish Gleb would stop growling when he sings. I'm sure he has a wonderful voice but that particular affectation doesn't work with this show. Just my opinion
Wait is Rasputin back?!!!!!! This Gleb was not the complicated conflict storyline we know of him. I've seen all 3 of them of the 4 times I saw ANASTASIA on Broadway (Ramin 2X, Max once, and Constantine on closing night).
I saw this cast last May and they're absolutely amazing! It was just truly disappointing to have such a growly, angry Gleb. Especially since his actor has such a gorgeous voice when playing the Tsar/Ipolitov. Not sure why he made this choice, especially since it sounds like it hurts to strain it to such a growling place. Such a bummer, since Gleb is such a good character, but his performance kinda took me out in some spots.
Giving me more of the Animated film's villain Rasputin. If they did the show with Rasputin, he would have given us a KILLER version of IN THE DARK OF THE NIGHT!!
I like the out of town production better even though I love this script and the score, I thought the out of town try out had more music that fit and had better music for Gleb. I’m also not into just removing a historical royal family of red heads to check off boxes.
To be honest, for me it was boring. The Songs by Ahrens/Flaherty are still beautiful, but they don#t have the magic of the animated Movie. Especially „Once upon a December“ looks half hearted, and also the projections in the background don‘t fascinate. No wonder the run on Broadway was so short, even here in Germany it couldn‘t convince the audiences.
I can't understand the choice to have a black actress play the character of Anya. It's historically unlikely, it just doesn't make sense. This political correct is starting to tire.

OH MY GOD !!! THIS WAS THE CAST I SAW LIVE !!! I WAS HOPING SOMEONE RECORDED THIS !!! OH THIS MAKES ME HAPPY !!
I need this musical in the west end !!
Gleb is so angry that it reminds of the white house politician instead. It's unfortunate because I love Gleb the most.
theatre recording titles are always so funny to me

It's a tad over-the-top...
This is the cast that I saw in May!!! They were amazing ❤
May I ask where we can license these scenic projections?
This recording is incredible??? Like what

Why is there no train and revolving floor? :(
It's the tour not broadway
What cast is this?
This is the second national tour!
@@redfirefixfox9611 Yes, but who are the actors?

@@phanoftheopera Thank you! I saw this cast back in January, I thought they seemed familiar!
@phanoftheopera I just saw Willem Butler perform this a few weeks ago!

You know Anastasia had dark brown hair in real life right?
The opening is making me think of all the better versions of this type....
I saw this cast a month ago!
Is this a tour production?
@@JohnTak yes, it was the second national tour
I remember seeing this cast live, it was so much better than this
The dude playing Gleb is such a miscast. WTF Ruins the whole production
Giving us more Rasputin.
fr he needs to play rasputin, he was way too aggressive and needed to be more like a young youthful man.

Pal, 808 performances is not a short run 😂
@@athepaki7706 That is true, my mistake, but it doesn‘t change my feeling towards the show.
@@tillchakraborty7482 this is the US Tour which greatly downgraded the set and costumes unfortunately. The Broadway production was better.
I saw the tour as well. I thought the same thing 😕 the songs were slow, the plot thin…definitely a let down.
@@ronik330this tour was non equity which may explain the lower quality sets etc
