Chanyeol was the one who suggested they form a subunit. Through SM's project STATION they first released WE YOUNG and then they worked on their first mini album. Chanyeol has always been interested in writing songs and is part of a producing team. Actually On me was produced by them. Both Chanyeol and Sehun have a lot of creative control for their subunit and cowrite most of the songs with a hip-hop artist called Gaeko. Their vibe is like chill hip hop with r&b and pop. Fun fact: Chanyeol and Sehun have been really close since their trainee days because they used to go back to their homes from SM together everyday since they lived in the same area. Some even say Chanyeol raised Sehun. However, through their time preparing to debut as EXO SC, Sehun used to talk down to him so Chanyeol got upset but he realized from that moment on he just preferred to treat Sehun as the hyung🤣🤣🤣
