Yeah, they are somehow.. I discovered them 2010 and they are still my favourite band. The vocalist (ryutaro arimura) started an own music-project in 2016, I wish so badly I could understand what he is singing there.. because he never sounded that emotional / open before. It sounds like he so much want's to tell something to just someone, honestly.
Ryutaro has what I would call an "acquired voice." Just like an acquired taste, not everyone is going to like the way that he sounds when he sings. Some would say he sounds like he's choking on his words. But, personally, I adore this man's voice. It's different, obviously, but I like that. I haven't been listening to Plastic Tree for very long, but I've heard quite a bit, and this is probably one of my favorite songs.
I love Plastic Tree so much! ♥ They are the band I respect the most. Their music is magic. I went to their "secret" live in Shinjuku 2 years ago and it was such a great experience to see them play this song for the 1st time at that concert. I will always thank them for that.
This song is absolutely amazing; even after all of these years of activity, Plastic Tree remains great. Really love the PV too! Very unique and interesting!
I remember when I heard Kyun Kyun Idoling's "Beta na Shitsuren", I thought the chorus melody sounded similar to PT's "Spica", now when I hear the chorus to this song I think of Idoling's "Rainy Girl".

I kind of dig this, though my favorite pura albums are Puppet Show and TRÄUMEREI... I need to sit down with lyrics in hand and headphones on ears and just absorb myself in some of my favorite Plastic Tree songs for an hour or so one day soon. It'll be a good change of pace from my otherwise electro-industrial saturated world, lol.
okay this might be weird of me to say but the lead singer has nice lips lol. I can't remember what other music video i was watching & the thought poped into my head & now i watch this one and yet again lol
@ToastedMello i dunno they have managed to keep their style, but a lot more older stuff is a bit crunchier and rough around the edges, but now they are more clean sounding and feelgood, but its in no way a bad thing, plastic tree will always rule
love this song! don't know why pple say he's rapping.i just feel japanese is one of those languages where really anyone could be considered a rapper if they spoke fast enough lol i'm not insulting,so don't take it like that..... and it's not a huge difference from their "old style" ...lol didn't even knew they had one till i heard pple complaining...

@Payton Coffman I agree with you. But actually Ryutaro's voice has revolved a lot, the way he sings now supposed to be less weird and more acceptable for more people..., it's not that I protest or anything, but. I kinda wish he didnt do it and just go back to his old singing style ^^

Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to find the official PV. Maybe it's because the tags says "prastic" instead of "plastic". Why show engrish in typed-form!?! BTW the beginning made me go "WTF ... so fast ... rap?" XD And singling along in Japanese isn't hard enough (for me anyway)
