The only time I’ve ever flown into this airport (as a passenger) was Christmas Eve 1965. At night. In a DC-6. In heavy turbulence. It was, shall we say, memorable. It was only a few days later when we saw the airport (and mountain) in daylight, and were glad, for our own peace of mind, that we didn’t know about it during the approach itself!
I'm glad to see other people also seeing their landings in the Fenix a320 as being rough. As I believed it was just my lack of skill in landing the A320. Glad to discover that I am not alone and that the difficulty experienced is simply a characteristic of the simulator.

I don’t understand why if you have to do a missed approach from final rw02 you have to fly back to the initial descent path of rw20, and you cannot quicly turn left to SALAP holding point.
Hi, cool video! I was wondering if you'll change your name after the type rating hah. Also something that seems kinda odd is the wheen temp showing in the lower ECAM, it's minus 10 degrees, is that realistic? Thanks :)
Would it be possible to enter the airport and runway number in…. on the progress page? Which would give DME to runway. Sorry, I may have misunderstood thE part regarding ILS DME 🤷♂️ Absolutely loving these Airbus contents. 👌👌
Hi, it would be a minor deviation since a DME is slant range while the PROG page would have shown you horizontal distance, but apart from that yes, that would have been a good idea.
@@A330Driver Thanks for the reply.. Completely understand your reasoning there. So many factors to consider throughout flight.. definitely see why single piloting would be difficult in airliners. Looking forward to your other videos and streams 🙏👍👍
Awesome. What I dont get: why is this approach only possible im VMC in the terminal area? Why do you need an instrument approach then? You could fly a complete visual approach pattern, when you are in VMC. What is the reason for such a published instrument approach which is only available in VMC? Thank you!
you are the expert but i learned when there is no 10 or 5 callout because you came down that fast then this is a clear indication of a not that smoth landing so -599 fpm dont look wrong to me :D to bad that there is no replay possible...
@@D4rthDuckHi D4rthDuck, actually most Airbuses stop their callouts at 20' RA after the the "retard" callout. So the 10 and 5 callouts are optional, I know you weren't asking me but it's so you can get your answer. :)
And as the other person above has stated it has nothing to do with the rate, if airlines choose to add it, they'll probably sound no matter how fast you're approaching

Interesting approach! Really enjoying your videos. Keep going :)
Great one! Keep it up.
I think it´s clear now for which airline you will be flying for😂
What airline? I’m not familiar with European airlines

Can you do a circle to land tutorial with ATC instruction (How to communicate with them ) ? Thank you in advance.
You are the best.🤟

Are you still using tobii eye tracker? In these types of approaches, this piece of hardware is very useful.

As you were approaching rwy 20, wouldn't any departing aircraft taking off from rwy 02 be taking off into your face? How would that work?
Is it always needed to drop the gear so early on a circle to land?

I thought that the five callout is an airline option and does not indicate the landing rate in any way.
