How to repair an Apple Watch Series 4 44mm digitizer and force touch sensor. This is the first of two videos showing how to remove the digitizer from the display and force touch sensor from the frame.
This is a very difficult repair and is not recommended for those with little experience.
We can discuss the repairs needed and price.

How was the water proofing after the scree replacement Sir? Can it still be submerge to water? Thank you
thank you for the video - great job. can I ask why you wouldn't use the isopropyl for cleaning the lcd please? and also why don't you use it to lift the black thin sticker thing?
Isopropyl alcohol works well for cleaning the LCD and if I didn't have anything else to clean with I wouldn't have a issue only using it. Its just there are other cleaning agents that work better. Also I've found that the sticker you are referring to has a hard time re adhering in general so IPA would just make it harder.

I’m fixing my own watch since all repairers near me are not willing to do it as they claim it’s water damage but essentially the digitizer is lifting away from the LCD. So far I’ve got into it to see what I need to order. I figure while I’m in I’ll change the speakers and battery as well. Ordered a liter of the IPA but wasn’t sure if I needed the acetone also. Apple wants £309 with only three months warranty so I figure if this works I’m ok but if not I can buy a new LCD for £160 but I’m having fun fixing it.

My oled display is black after removing the glass and the digitizer. That means I damaged the oled? I was very careful and I do not see any sign of damage to the oled. I saw many people having the same issue (black screen without the digitizer. Should I buy a new digitizer and install or I better give up? Thanks.
Thanks for this video! I‘m a bit anxious with this. I separated the Glas and some bubbles appeared under the digitizer.
One question :) Why didn’t you start the cut on the side, where the flexcable is positioned? Isn’t it easier not to cut through the display? Thank you!!

I have problem, when the digitizer is too close to the pled panel, the touch doesn’t work well.

Can you send me the link of the digitizer which can be applied to the LCD with the LOCA?? Online I only find screen with OCA and I don’t have the machine to put out the bobble. Hope you answer, thanks man

Good morning. I recently started doing this repair. On a series 3 model, how do you deal with over spillage and the loca gets into the connector and creates that line down the middle?? Is there a fix for that?
Do you have to program new digitiser to work like the previous generations or it works straight out of the box?
Do you need to do any manipulations like with series 3 after replacing digitizer?
Can i use isopropyl alcohol to remove the LOCA? Or will it effect the display in a way?

why u use loca glue?? Why not Oca?

It seems like you can separate the glass only from the Apple Watch 4. Is that possible on a Watch 3? Without removing the digitizer?
MrSchluffi unfortunately no. The digitizer is integrated into the glass on the series 2 and 3
This most definitely can be done. Most of the time the digi is damaged tho. Unless the digi is responsive you may as well do the whole thing and not just the glass.

I always damage the digitizer while rubbing the glue off with my fingers, anyone can give me some advice? Im very very gently rubbing it off..
Put a cloth on top and dab glue remover over and let sit. Should peel right off after that.

I have a Question, once you repair this the watch still having waterproof option or it loses its water resistance?
A C in general the watches lose resistance over time but with the way I seal them(not shown in the video) I haven’t had anyone have an issue with water.

Can I replace acetone with something else? Here in Brazil it is forbidden to buy pure acetone in store because drug dealers use to manufacture some types of drugs. Can you help me?

Got a scratch on my Apple Watch 4-44 mm nothing works but 3000 grit wet&dry sandpaper get rid of scratch then polish with a good watch polish scratch genie is good o’well bye
