Meo Fusciiuni - I am so excited for your interview! Thank you for shinning the light on this very underrated brand (at least in TH-cam, but I feel that for those who know their niche fragrance houses, this is on top of the list). Sogni sounds so interesting! I am from Asia so the rice notes is something that is of interest. There’s only one I tried and have a small sample of (Affiniscence Santal Basmati). On a separate note, I wonder how Fueguia’s Arabica compares to Meo Fusciuni’s Little Song? The “perfect” coffee is still in my quest for special notes (the other one is the “perfect” rose). Creed - I’ve watched a couple of interviews with the writer of The Ghost Perfumer AFTER I’ve tried exploring Creed perfumes. I have the discovery set of those that are female targeted but unfortunately, none really spoke to me that I’ve almost forgotten about them and the set remains at the back of my wardrobe. I’ll try to explore them at another time and see if my impression would change. That said, I buy my perfumes based on the notes and the composition. 😅I’d admit that the history (+marketing) add some depth and mystery to the brand, and in some cases sealed the deal for me. But the house of Creed is not one those - history concocted or not. If you think about it, perfumes are essentially fragrant water. So I feel that our fascination with perfumes is driven mostly by what we feel and the stories we make up in our minds, the associations we come up with after smelling the composition, seeing and appreciating the bottle and branding, etc. The magic and chemistry would be different for each individual. Some get it, some don’t. And I’m okay with that.
Creed's overall vibe, aesthetic, and quality is unmatched in my eyes. I'm relatively new to the scene but I really do believe that the Creed family business has been passed down since 1760, regardless if they were an outright fragrance company or publically-available option. That's still noteworthy. And Aventus is quite literally addicting. Even through the recipe changes, the DNA and aeathetic of Aventus with the polished clear glass bottle, CLEAR LIQUID, and the black and chrome accents... tied with the image / story of the company (as well as the amazing smell that gets tons of compliments) is undeniably a historic formula.
I too agree that there is truth in the storyline with the Creed family and their connection to perfumery. I also believe (like all brands and marketing) that there has been some creative embellishments to parts of the story but not an out right lie....however I don't have proof of this so only going on gut feel and things that I've read about their history. I always go back to what originally drew me to the House...their perfumes. I love them. They make me happy when I'm wearing them😎 Great to hear from you Cody! Thanks for taking the time to jump into the conversation💫
Creed got me into niche. I don’t care about the book, actually more concerned that it’s owned by a private equity group and I am a finance bros so it’s saying a lot
I'm having Milo for this Mate Talk Marcelo! Really thankful to have discovered your channel when I did, I recently purchased a few more samples from another Parisian online store called Nose Paris, they thankfully ship to Singapore and I picked out a few samples which I've heard of through your channel. Thank you for always educating us and in turn, we decide to pull certain triggers to educate and allow ourselves to experience all these beautiful fragrances!
Always love reading your comments Vera, I love your view on life😎 I'm actually going to visit the store Nose in Paris (just saying 😬) as this is going to be part of the upcoming France Experience tour....I'll make sure to film the store in March and share this with everyone. So happy to have your contribution on the channel Vera, it's all the subscribers like yourself and those connected to the channel that make it what it is...so thank you💫🧡
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Aww thank you too my friend!! Thank you for creating and building this lil cosy community that I’m so honoured to be a part of!! 🙏🏼🔥 I really hope to get to make it to Paris with you guys and experience the true Parisian experience as a niche fragrance enthusiast! 😍 can’t wait to see the itinerary if we’re talking about the same thing!
Great discussion! I’m one of those that struggles to get over the dishonesty with Creed, feeling like it’s an insult to the craft and its artisans. That said … I still love the old episodes of The Cosby Show, even though he’s turned out to be a legendary creep and outright criminal. I’m not totally sure where my logic is there … It’s a tricky one, isn’t it? I appreciate the dialogue! I love hearing points of view from thoughtful people like yourself. Cheers!
Yes, I agree that there is a sense of betrayal with what seems to have been exaggerated claims. It's funny, but I've been able to dismiss this really quickly from my end. I think it's because I never purchased the fragrance's with the notion that Olivier was 'the guy'....I bought them because at the time (early niche journey) I found these fragrance's so excitingly unique/dynamic/beautiful that I couldn't help but jump in. Now as I look back on the aftermath of truth coming about their creations and history etc....I shrug my shoulders and I still reach for these fragrance's. I still love wearing them🤷🏽♂️ (maybe I'm being a fool....after all we are emotional/irrational creatures....or is it just me🦍😬) Always wonderful to hear from you Anna, thanks for jumping into the conversation💫
Hi Marcelo...you already know how much I enjoy Creed fragrances, however there appears to be changes in formulations over the years. With Creed now being owned by Black Rock I'm expecting more changes. Longevity notwithstanding, I still love the stuff. Green Irish Tweed, Himalaya, Bois du Portugal, Original Vetiver, etc are among some of my favorite fragrances. Ah Fueguia...! Still enjoying this house! FYI...Duro is my scent of the day along with an H20 mate! Good seeing you again.
Good to hear from you Fred and yes, I was thinking of you as I was building my thoughts for this Mate Talk as I do know that you love the Creed fragrance's as well. On an encouraging point; I had a friend share with me his latest Aventus purchase with the metal cap and I was impressed with both the fragrance profile of this bottle and feel of the new cap....maybe the new owners are listening to their customers??? And yes, that wonderfully masculine charged scent of Duro💪🏽 such a classic, and perfect scent for any man😎 Always great to read your comments my friend; thanks for jumping into the conversation👊🏽
That would be awesome! Here are the full details: www.nfcperfumes.com/products/meet-spray-at-fuguia-march-2023 If you’re interested, I’m doing a personal tour with a small group. The price includes a full bottle of perfume of your choice. Thanks for the shout out! Oh my goodness....myone and only favorite from Creed for me is Royal Oud. I really enjoy it. I have tried the princess royal oud too but it just isnt as magical as Royal Oud.
I love that you enjoy using Royal Oud! So awesome that you rock this fragrance!! Looking forward to catching up with you and the others at Esxence Mercedes, this is going to be fun experiencing fragrance's all together....will be interesting to see what we all gravitate towards. Thanks for jumping into the conversation💫
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Yeah it is going to be fun (rubbing my hands together in delight!). I love seeing what people gravitate torwards and why. 😃
I purchased Royal Oud last month so that makes me a 5* General lol. It's a wonderful fragrance. I'm not a huge Creed fan though and other than my bottles of Royal Oud, Aventus and GIT, the only other fragrance I'm interested in is VIW. I might get it in time for UK summer.
I've defected from Team Coffee to Team Mate! It is a Guayaki Enlighten Mint though, haven't gotten to a traditional one yet. Creed is the one brand I feel no guilt about buying their clones. When a company consistently raises prices while lowering quality I don't want to fork over the money for the real things, even at discounters. My favorite Creed fragrance is Virgin Island Water, and I imagine I will get a bottle of that eventually.
Boom Baby!!🧉🧡 Welcome to the team😎 Next time I'm in the States I'm going to have try this out (I've heard about it but we don't get it here in Oz). Yep, I hear your sentiment on Creed. Interestingly, I had a friend show me the new bottle of Aventus that he purchased and I was personally impressed with the scent profile of this bottle and new metal cap (maybe the new owners are listening to the customers??) And yes, Virgin Island is awesome. One of my favourites from the collection. Awesome to hear from you @asparceproton1
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thanks, it’s good to be on board! I think my Aventus decant is a 2022 batch and it’s a really nice one. I was wearing it the other week visiting family and mom was loving it. Good to be part of the conversation. Keep up the good work and growing the channel!
The problem with Creed is two fold,, firstly they lied about the heritage of the business, they were not perfumers and secondly Olivier Creed claims to be the perfumer which he is not. I don't think these fall under marketing license, people just think that they are being lied to. Its not uncommon for perfume brands to use external, professional perfumers under the brands direction, thats fine. Amouage for example do not hide the fact they use perfumers and so do many other brands. In short, people don't like it when they think they have been lied to, simple as that (i dont accept what Creed have done is marketing license).. Do they have some good fragrances? yes of course, they are using some of the best perfumers so of course they have some good fragrances,,,, I do think they are overpriced though and don't last very long. I think Blackrock have their work cut out for them to win back a lot of the fragrance community.
I looked around, they're selling that Arabica scent in 100ml for €428 (and 30ml for €257), but it is limited to 100 it appears (based on bottle design). Wish I could try it somehow. Also wish I could go to Esxence, I hope to attend next year though. Last year we had some interesting releases there. Pretty sure Nishane revealed the Time Capsule Collection at Esxence and Tero is a true all-star scent that is yet to pick up in the mainstream. Royal Crown also revealed Nocturna/Nizam last time around - those aren't really scents that excited me that much, Nocturna gave me vibes of SHL's God of Fire so I may eventually get it, but it's not even top 25 on the wishlist currently. Don't remember anything else, besides the video that I think you and Kev did with Parfums d'Elmar. As for Creed, it's not a brand that wows me. And that 1760 aspect of their branding - objectively speaking, do we even give a s**t? Having history as a brand is completely irrelevant outside of it being a historic discussion point, it doesn't really bring anything to the table. Switching lanes - to me, Creed's main problem is the heavy utilization of scent profiles that I would associate with older gentlemen. And to me, Roja Dove does a far better job at taking vintage scents and adding a unique twist to them than Creed does. Mind you, I haven't even touched on the fact that Creed has batch/performance variance and is almost entirely concentrated into a single scent class (masculine aromatics). Not to nitpick too much, but I find Royal Oud very much a semi-pro scent. It's like a sweetened fougere, it's like if you combined Oceania from Roja with Apex from Roja with slightly added sweeter hints. Bois du Portugal is definitely 5-star because I just cannot disassociate it from an older gentleman.
Mate, I always love reading your input...thank you. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and love your objectivity, and yes agree with most of your points. It's funny, but I've recognised my irrational relationship with Creed. It was one of my first love's within niche that I committed over wholeheartedly and even though I rationally think about all the irregularities with their 'history' etc....I still look at the bottles with doe eyes and inhale their fragrances with joy in my heart (hook, line and sinker😫) Thanks again @DivineFrag for jumping into the conversation👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollectori love their smells but for my money there's only 2 i really enjoy. Bois du Portugal and royal oud. Royal oud is definitely a cedar scent that i love. No real oud in there though lol. Bois might come across as old-school but i think it's masculine and timeless. One of the best fougeres i know. I'm not even middle aged, but I'd still wear it. It's the image of a classic man not a modern one. Imo
Bois Du Portugal is a beautiful fragrance. This is for matured audience 😀 This Creed controversy will never end, and I say, buy what you like. Another mate talk in the books. Thanks Marcelo 👊🏽
Much love to you my friend and thanks for the great content and all your endeavours. So I’m a big creed fan both pre and post reading the ghost perfumer. I have all the men’s standard line and one vaulted creed. The marketing stories did influence me I have to be honest; the Duke of Windsor, Queen Victoria, Prince Charles, Frank Sinatra etc etc and if they are all lies it is really disappointing and to be honest unnecessary. The heritage from 1760 alone and a transition to fragrance In the 70’s is fine. The truth will do. The new marketing team is now going down that line I’m glad to see. The fragrances are good enough on their own for me. I’m sure there is more to the story than Gabe has began in his book. We may never know fully but I do know I love Creed fragrances but I do feel disappointed with the fabrications. Much love from Bradford in the uk X
I love the nuance and attention to gray areas in your response, I can get that you really took your time before you gave your opinion and I appreciate that, you just gained a fan! Can you give me a suggestion on a Pennhalligon fragrance that is a good spring and summertime fragrance, I live in Florida and it is hummid so I can't wear anything too heavy. Thank you and CHEERS!
Thank you for jumping into the conversation, I do appreciate your comment @sundiatasoubefree683. I enjoy reading the various comments and understand how others feel about certain topics and yes, I had this episode brewing for a few days in my brain, knowing that it would spur on further conversation on this topic (which is fun to read and engage in). I'm a big fan of all things Penhaligons and my recommendation would be: - Halfeti: I actually wear this during our Melbourne summers (which we get everything for dry heat to high humidity) and it performs amazingly. It is a floral fragrance, but very subtle and can easily be worn on a man. I wouldn't recommend the flankers, go for the original - Blenhiem Bouquet: this is one of the company's original fragrance's and it seems from another era. It's a wonderful blend of citrus and musk. Also a great summer fragrance - Endymion Concentrate: wonderful aromatic masculine classic. Try these and let me know what you think. I can recommend others, but this is a great start....good luck @sundiatasoubefree683, awesome to hear from you👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you for the response, you actually sparked my interest in Penhalligon when you briefly touched on their history, it is always fascinating to hear the stories behind some of these fabled houses and how they started from humble beginnings. I have sampled the Tragedy of Lord George because I am a big fan of barbershop fragrances and I must say it is the most beautiful composition I have ever smelled, if the fragrances you mentioned are anywhere near the quality of that one then I am in for a treat! Lastly I think your perspective on Creed is a very mature outlook but I can understand why people would feel betrayed, but at the end of the day it’s the “juice” that matters although I will concede that prestige and lineage plays a huge role in everything, reputation matters, especially when it comes to branding, that’s why companies like Rolex, Bentley and Mercedes can charge such exorbitant prices, because of the cachet of the name, this whole Creed scandal damages that reputation and is going to eventually effect their bottom line which is unfortunate.
@@sundiatasoubefree683 I'm about to rock your world.....I personally don't own Lord George 😱 (I know that it's their biggest hitter in the range, but I actually think the others that I recommended are more complex and better fragrance's!....I know, call me crazy!) I'll be interested to hear your thoughts, once you test. BTW, one more The Inmitable William Penhaligons th-cam.com/video/kaXMYv42io8/w-d-xo.html (tribute to the GOAT himself)....incredible 'gentleman's' fragrance And yes, totally agree with your comments on heritage/lying/consequence's....awesome to hear from you Sundiata👊🏽
Hola Marcelo. Always a great video. Enjoyed Mate time with a copa of Ron Diplomatic from Venezuela. A way to relax for me. In regards to Creed there are only two I enjoy. One is Aventus Cologne. Can't deal with Aventus with all their different batches. And for summer V.I.W. as for GIT, maybe I don't have a mature enough nose to appreciate it. I've tried it several times and every time , I can't stand having it on. Well till your next one. Btw. Hopefully now that Creed is not family owned it will be lower in it's prices. I just don't feel the juice is worth the price. (Shh don't let wifey hear me say that....she loves Wind Flower)
Great to hear from you Tony and yes both Aventus Cologne and VIW are in high rotation for me too...good choice homie. Hmmm, don't like the chance's of the price coming down, but one can hope😉 BTW congrats on winning the raffle! Thank you for reaching out via Insta, will organise your samples this week and send out to you💫. Always good to hear from you mate👊🏽
I still enjoy my Creed collection too! As a creative person, I can not condone the plagiarism! If my work was presented as someone else's, I'd lose my mind! It is completely WRONG and detrimental to the creator. It's not the same as Amouage because the Noses are given credit as creators. The company that bought Creed has a lot of work to do to repair this brand! If I had bought Creed, I'd be suing them for intentional gross misrepresentation of the brand! I love the fragrances and I hate the lies they've been telling, at the same time! Totally criminal!
Great to hear from you Ken and really appreciate your comments and insight. You raised a good point."If I had bought Creed, I'd be suing them for intentional gross misrepresentation of the brand"...I've been thinking the same thing; so why hasn't this happened? (if I've missed this, would love someone to share with me the article) My biggest question with all of this, is why hasn't this unraveled more? Other than in the fragrance community, this is a non event. So I then wonder, is the book all 100% true? At the end of the day we're taking all our facts on this from one source "The Ghost Perfumer"....but again maybe I've missed the other articles? If anyone could shed more light, I look forward to reading on this further. Once again Ken, thank you for jumping into the conversation, appreciate your input👊🏽
I agree because if you will lie about a back story or lie about who created then you will lie about ingredients BUT let’s be honest many companies does this from food to music to art To me Creed has some of the most natural smelling scents yea it’s boring scents but it’s elegant and natural
I used to like Aventus alright, but lost interest in it. Just never found Creed fragrances very interesting, though I can see the appeal. Tried 'Wind Flowers' recently, and thought that was pretty good, but not fascinating. Oliver Creed's clearly behaved quite badly, but my thoughts on their fragrances aren't influenced by that.
Marcelo long time no speak! Hope you've had a fruitful start to the year and having a great February so far :) Sending love and prayers as always! Great elite professional content as always, my favourite all time fragrance TH-camr! Keep levelling up ma dude! Will connect on Instagram very soon again :)
Awesome to hear from you Leo💫 You know I love playing your voice message DM...you have the best voice for radio my brother (love the accent homie) 😎 Appreciate the kind words mate👊🏽
Dear Marcelo, like the story of Creed I have been away for some time, but I have returned with my Russian Leather gloves soaked in Creed Vetiver. It’s good to see you going strong and although the crotch sniffing aside, it’s always fun for an amateur appreciator (base level) of parfum to hear your thoughts. I only bought into Creed Vetiver, I gifted my brother a bottle of Aventus and he loves it which is great and I’ve still got an unopened bottle of GIT. I’ve always felt that when my current bottle of Orginal Vetiver runs out I’ll move on to Bois de Portugal, purely based on how you spoke about it in the video with your nephew, irrespective of however brief it was. I’ll catch up with some of the Maté talks. Your videos are awesome and enlightening to those who, like me, have zero experience in the Art.
Quasim, my man! Good to hear from you homie💫 and thank you for the kind words mate👊🏽. Ok so I need you to go and open that bottle of GIT....you need to wear this beauty!! I love this fragrance, it's an awesome classic gentleman's fragrance (mind you I can smell this a mile away on others; it has great presence) And yes, Bois du Portugal is brilliant...classic Big Boy/Man fragrance😎 Great to hear from you Quasim, thanks for jumping into the conversation
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector a pleasure Marcelo. I’ll give it a whirl. I sampled it when I bought the Aventus and it had such a beautiful finish to it, I’m totally against having more than one bottle to use at a time and that’s the reason I gifted off the sealed Aventus. I shall break this rookie/base level shenanigans and go all in. Take Care Marcelo, catch you in the next one
I've tried almost all Creed's mentioned in the video (except Royal Oud), and the one I like most is Bois du Portugal, but unfortunately I don't feel old enough to be wearing this. 😪
Hello Marcelo! Would you be interested in making a video about fragrances that you were disappointed with after buying or testing them? For me it has to be “or du serail” I bought a sample and that honey note (that seemed to last forever ) made me feel sick 🤢 tried it a few Months later but same result 🤢 Have a good week and keep up the good work!
Hello Jack! Good to hear from you homie👊🏽 I like the idea of this. This would make for an awesome Mate Talk....let me put my thinking cap on for this. Interesting that Or du Serail is a 'no go' for you. I really like this fragrance a lot and I'm always 'banging on about it'. What you mentioned is 100% on point. It does have an incredibly sickly fruit/honey note at the opening; and at first it was waaaaaay too much for me....but I love it now🧡🥰 I actually rank this as one of my best Tobacco fragrance's I would be curious to know if you returned to this in 6 months (which will be a nice cold winter for you) if you feel the same way🤔 Great to hear from you mate! Thanks for jumping into the conversation😎
Probably not. I'm more interested in perfume creation and fragrance's themselves. Plus from what I've seen he's doing an awesome job with all the other fragrance channels and getting some great air play. Thanks for reaching out @cveki007 💫
Somewhat newbie to the scene here hello! (Although TBH I did dive in with Duro and Frapin's 1270 Extreme so already breaking the chart!) Isn't the issue with Creed less about lying to the customer and more about lying to Bourdon? Like, my impression from the information presented is that them not "really" having been around for hundreds of years is more a side-jab against the main complaint, which is that the artist got shafted. Since it's the perfumers who make the scents we enjoy shouldn't we be quite concerned about their treatment? At any rate, looking forward to continuing to follow you! I do have a question! Have you come across Frater, a New Zealand brand by another self-taught perfumer?
Great video Marcelo!! I’m also a big Creed fan and own all of the men’s line plus a few more along with my wife’s collection. I feel that because Creed is so well known and Aventus is so popular, that it’s easy for some to hate. If you then consider the questioning the perfumers, more food for the haters. For me it’s always about the smell, if I like something I don’t really care about all the rest. Your categorization is spot on, I think you can substitute either Royal Water or Royal Mayfair for Bois do Portugal, but that’s splitting hairs.👍👍👍
I appreciate your effort for standing behind a brand that creates scents you love. I don’t mind exaggerated marketing, it’s part of the game. However, if the wing creators would have claimed they provided Jesse Owens with his favourite beverage since 1928, they would have lost my respect. It is hard to separate a blatant lie from the product. I appreciate Green Irish Tweed, am underwhelmed by Royal Ceder and should get my nose on a vintage Bois de Portugal. But the marketing and batch thinning controversies don’t entice me to order a sample. Again, hats of for the effort made here, but it feels like we are beating a dead horse here, with a birch tar scented russian reindeer leather saddle. That does not mean we can not embrace the jewels from the past that once were good. It is like Balenciaga Pour Homme, a beautiful scent from the past from a brand that currently is near death (and much more serious controversies by the way).
Awesome to hear from you Adrian and thank you for enquiring about becoming a member. If you go to the main channel page, you'll see a "Join" button...boom! It will then navigate you from there. Thanks for reaching out💫👊🏽
Great video yet again. This is why i love Floris (sorry to bring it up again) because their history of their perfumes are actually documented in their ledgers. I visited their London store that has been there since the 1700s and they have actual royal warrant and continue to make perfumes for the royals to this day. Their fragrances are not mind blowing but the history makes it worth it
Yep, I hear you Gary. Floris is one of those brands that deserves more love. Promise that I will spend time on these guys in 2023🙋🏽♂️ Would be awesome to visit their flagship store in London...love the thought of this history (real history😬)
I will look forward to that ☺️ would be great to see you interview Edward Bodenham if you ever visited the Floris shop in London. I may have to pay it a visit soon myself

Only a few. My skin eats weak scents up
Unfortunately Creed is a big red light to me. Definetly not my style of perfumery. Too light on my skin for the almost unbelievable price point. I feel all of their fragrances are leaning more mature. I know the feeling of fragrances wearing you and not the other way around. I feel that way every time i try aromatic fougeres
Good question; short answer is 'no'. I've always wanted to create a documentary exploring the historical background to the brand. My gut says that there would be something but again don't know for certain. Thanks for jumping into the conversation @Shadowman-1960, awesome to connect
@@TheNicheFragranceCollectorIf Creed existed before the late sixties I think there would be plenty of evidence to verify it, also I think the brand would have been well known enough for successful people like Hollywood types to buy them as well as the name Creed and their history should have been documented in at least some of the many books written about the history of fragrances, and fragrance manufacturers. I do have to give Creed credit for getting so many people to believe their story without presenting any evidence at all to confirm what they claim to be true.👍🏻
@@Shadowman-1960 Yep, I hear you. The stories that I've heard is that they were making bespoke fragrance's for certain people, hence why they weren't in the lime light. Then decided in 1970 to open up the doors to the general public. But like you mentioned, maybe this too is part of the marketing created by Creed themselves 🤷🏽♂️
Creed will always be my number one niche house, nothing like creed ingredients and compositions.
Yep, totally agree with you 💫 great to hear from you bro, hoping all is well with you
Meo Fusciiuni - I am so excited for your interview!
ALOTTA GOOD THINGZ HAPPENING IN YOUR ATMOSPHERE....KEEP PUSHIN 4WARD MY G
They make me happy when I'm wearing them😎

Thank you for always educating us and in turn, we decide to pull certain triggers to educate and allow ourselves to experience all these beautiful fragrances!
Always love reading your comments Vera, I love your view on life😎
I'm actually going to visit the store Nose in Paris (just saying 😬) as this is going to be part of the upcoming France Experience tour....I'll make sure to film the store in March and share this with everyone.
This week, announcing all the details regarding the France fragrance experience🔥😎
I still love wearing them🤷🏽♂️ (maybe I'm being a fool....after all we are emotional/irrational creatures....or is it just me🦍😬)
Always wonderful to hear from you Anna, thanks for jumping into the conversation💫
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector well said! Cheers, Marcelo!
And yes, that wonderfully masculine charged scent of Duro💪🏽 such a classic, and perfect scent for any man😎
Always great to read your comments my friend; thanks for jumping into the conversation👊🏽
Royal oud , bois du Portugal are my fav creeds . Unfortunately I don’t own either atm lol .
Same 🤣

Creed is my first Niche and I’ll never forget it. Should be getting it in a few days. I’m excited for this new journey.
Curious to know if this Creed landed? Would love to know which one you purchased as your first Creed in this niche journey💫 Did it hit the mark?
DID U GET IT YET
Interestingly, I had a friend show me the new bottle of Aventus that he purchased and I was personally impressed with the scent profile of this bottle and new metal cap (maybe the new owners are listening to the customers??)
And yes, Virgin Island is awesome.

It was one of my first love's within niche that I committed over wholeheartedly and even though I rationally think about all the irregularities with their 'history' etc....I still look at the bottles with doe eyes and inhale their fragrances with joy in my heart (hook, line and sinker😫)
Thanks again @DivineFrag for jumping into the conversation👊🏽
@@TheNicheFragranceCollectori love their smells but for my money there's only 2 i really enjoy. Bois du Portugal and royal oud. Royal oud is definitely a cedar scent that i love. No real oud in there though lol. Bois might come across as old-school but i think it's masculine and timeless. One of the best fougeres i know. I'm not even middle aged, but I'd still wear it. It's the image of a classic man not a modern one. Imo
O and my morning tea is simple green tea ☕☕🍵 👌😂😂 great video as always
Nice choice Antonio🫖🍃...thanks for reaching out mate👊🏽
Bois Du Portugal is a beautiful fragrance. This is for matured audience 😀 This Creed controversy will never end, and I say, buy what you like.
Another mate talk in the books. Thanks Marcelo 👊🏽
100% agree with all your comments Juan...it's totally true.
Always wonderful to hear from you mate👊🏽
BDP, Royal Mayfair and GIT are the best from the house 👌🏾
Interesting story about Duro. 😂
By the way, "Duro" means "Hard" in spanish. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for jumping into the conversation, I do appreciate your comment
@sundiatasoubefree683.
I enjoy reading the various comments and understand how others feel about certain topics and yes, I had this episode brewing for a few days in my brain, knowing that it would spur on further conversation on this topic (which is fun to read and engage in).
I'm a big fan of all things Penhaligons and my recommendation would be:
- Halfeti: I actually wear this during our Melbourne summers (which we get everything for dry heat to high humidity) and it performs amazingly. It is a floral fragrance, but very subtle and can easily be worn on a man. I wouldn't recommend the flankers, go for the original
- Blenhiem Bouquet: this is one of the company's original fragrance's and it seems from another era. It's a wonderful blend of citrus and musk. Also a great summer fragrance
- Endymion Concentrate: wonderful aromatic masculine classic.
@@sundiatasoubefree683 I'm about to rock your world.....I personally don't own Lord George 😱 (I know that it's their biggest hitter in the range, but I actually think the others that I recommended are more complex and better fragrance's!....I know, call me crazy!)
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts, once you test. BTW, one more The Inmitable William Penhaligons th-cam.com/video/kaXMYv42io8/w-d-xo.html (tribute to the GOAT himself)....incredible 'gentleman's' fragrance
And yes, totally agree with your comments on heritage/lying/consequence's....awesome to hear from you Sundiata👊🏽
Hmmm, don't like the chance's of the price coming down, but one can hope😉
BTW congrats on winning the raffle!
(if I've missed this, would love someone to share with me the article)
My biggest question with all of this, is why hasn't this unraveled more? Other than in the fragrance community, this is a non event. So I then wonder, is the book all 100% true? At the end of the day we're taking all our facts on this from one source "The Ghost Perfumer"....but again maybe I've missed the other articles?
If anyone could shed more light, I look forward to reading on this further.
Once again Ken, thank you for jumping into the conversation, appreciate your input👊🏽
I agree because if you will lie about a back story or lie about who created then you will lie about ingredients
BUT let’s be honest many companies does this from food to music to art
To me Creed has some of the most natural smelling scents yea it’s boring scents but it’s elegant and natural
Awesome to hear from you Leo💫 You know I love playing your voice message DM...you have the best voice for radio my brother (love the accent homie) 😎
Appreciate the kind words mate👊🏽
I love this fragrance, it's an awesome classic gentleman's fragrance (mind you I can smell this a mile away on others; it has great presence)
And yes, Bois du Portugal is brilliant...classic Big Boy/Man fragrance😎
Great to hear from you Quasim, thanks for jumping into the conversation
Agreed, get that Green Irish Tweed open asap! That stuff is beautiful. 🤤

@@SirSillageSniffington I’ll get it open!
I've tried almost all Creed's mentioned in the video (except Royal Oud), and the one I like most is Bois du Portugal, but unfortunately I don't feel old enough to be wearing this. 😪
If Bois Du Portugal talks to you that means you are a match - go for it 🙌🏻
I completely agree with @misterkatz4332💫 Sem if you feel at home with Bois du Portugal then go get it baby😎
And where you will put Aventus? 🤔
Hello Marcelo!
Would you be interested in making a video about fragrances that you were disappointed with after buying or testing them? For me it has to be “or du serail” I bought a sample and that honey note (that seemed to last forever ) made me feel sick 🤢 tried it a few Months later but same result 🤢
Have a good week and keep up the good work!
Hello Jack! Good to hear from you homie👊🏽
I like the idea of this. This would make for an awesome Mate Talk....let me put my thinking cap on for this.
Interesting that Or du Serail is a 'no go' for you. I really like this fragrance a lot and I'm always 'banging on about it'. What you mentioned is 100% on point. It does have an incredibly sickly fruit/honey note at the opening; and at first it was waaaaaay too much for me....but I love it now🧡🥰 I actually rank this as one of my best Tobacco fragrance's
I would be curious to know if you returned to this in 6 months (which will be a nice cold winter for you) if you feel the same way🤔
Great to hear from you mate! Thanks for jumping into the conversation😎
Would you interview Dave Oppenheimer, the author of 'The Ghost Perfumer'?
Probably not. I'm more interested in perfume creation and fragrance's themselves. Plus from what I've seen he's doing an awesome job with all the other fragrance channels and getting some great air play.
Thanks for reaching out @cveki007 💫
Somewhat newbie to the scene here hello! (Although TBH I did dive in with Duro and Frapin's 1270 Extreme so already breaking the chart!)
Isn't the issue with Creed less about lying to the customer and more about lying to Bourdon?
Always enjoy reading your comments Gerard and I do love the Jesse Owen comment....I see your point and yes, I agree.
Appreciate you sharing 👊🏽

Have you smelled jaracanda and Humboldt by fugueria (I'm forgetting the name lol ) oops lol but i found Humboldt crazy good citrus :)

Only a few. My skin eats weak scents up
Morning MY SOTD IS GREEN NEROLI from CREED 😂
It's all about timing in life😎 Great fragrance BTW😍
My creed recommendation, stay away (unless you can get a 2019 or older batch)
Unfortunately Creed is a big red light to me. Definetly not my style of perfumery. Too light on my skin for the almost unbelievable price point. I feel all of their fragrances are leaning more mature.
I know the feeling of fragrances wearing you and not the other way around. I feel that way every time i try aromatic fougeres
Can you refer me to any proof that Creed existed before 1968 like an advertisement, commercial, or promotion etc?
