Thank you! I’m glad you noticed and liked that. Books have been a big part of my life forever and I wanted to showcase the way they work themselves into our lives and hearts 💕
I’m so glad it was helpful! I want to share good books that booktube/booktok/etc. don’t get to see because the same books are shared over and over online. I thought a list would make it easier for anyone who’s interested to find details!
Chelseyyyyyy! I read Redeeming Love while doing a Bible study in the book of Hosea and let me tell you... if you cried reading the book by itself, reading it with the Biblical inspiration for the story will absolutely wreck you and heal broken places in your heart all at once. Also, fabulous video! Super excited for you and proud of you, too!
@@chelseygordonreader just lots of highlighters and my notetakers Bible. I ended up doing some creative journaling, too, that incorporated quotes from the book and from the Bible. It was honestly a life changing experience.
Chelsey!! This is so much fun! I have a bunch of new books to add to my TBR. If you want dystopian/fantasy recommendations, let me know!! Those are two of my favorite genres. I read the whole AGGGTM series, and I personally didn’t enjoy it. I normally don’t read murder mysteries, so it freaked me out way too much. 🤣 They get progressively darker as the series goes on, but I can see why people enjoyed it.
I’m so happy to hear you found some books that interest you, Charlene! 🥹 I would looooove some dystopian/fantasy recs from you! The only one I read and REALLY enjoyed is Caste by RaeLynn Fry, if that gives you any info or vibes whatsoever 🤣
@@chelseygordonreader You should definitely try The Hunger Games and Divergent again. I think you might really enjoy THG if you analyze it! Maze Runner is not worth it. Legend by Marie Lu is also phenomenal! The Selection is pretty good, too, but just read the first three.
You’re amazing! Thank you so much for these recs. I just saw a copy of Legend at the used bookstore today, I’m bummed I didn’t grab it! Anyway…I trust you. I’ll try THG again. I’ll post a group buddy read on Booksta! 🫡
I have yet to read Percy Jackson but I've been wanting to! I couldn't get into Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent, etc. when I was younger. It just couldn't hook me and I lost interest so fast and just watched the movies 🤣🤣 I LOVE the Skymar Series!!! Penelope's book is my fave! I too can talk about Redeeming Love for ages. and u described it so well! Especially how the book starts. I remember I got about 39 pages in and my mom was like "How is it so far?" and I honestly didn't know how to answer because of the devastation I had witnessed up to that point 😆 But I wanted to see what happened with Sarah so bad that I couldn't put it down! There were tears and it was amazing. 🎉 Loved the video btw ☺️💛
Oh and I almost forgot! I have also been wanting to read more fantasy lately! Two books I have to recommend because they were INCREDIBLE would have to be Wishtress by Nadine Brandes and A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross ☺️
I COMPLETELY AGREE! THANK YOU for saying this! Everyone was soooo into them growing up and I felt totally alone in not enjoying them. I’m going to try to read THG again, but the others, I’ll probably just leave. 🙈 Thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words! P.S. Please read PJ&O!!
@@chelseygordonreader haha ur not alone!!! i just got the Hunger Games out of a free library so i might give that one another try. maybe we could buddy read it or something! 😝 i think i have Maze Runner as an e-book but... there's honestly so many other things on my tbr i'd rather read, who knows if i'll ever get to it 😂 PS it's getting harder and harder putting off PJ. if i had a copy i'd probably be making it my next read! ive got to decide on a box set cuz i'm sure i'll wanna read the whole series! 🥰
I highly recommend it! The content is pretty heavy, but the story is captivating! A great look into the psychology behind relationships and decisions! If you read it, let me know 👀
girly i love how every book had a special connection to someone important in your life 🥲🥲

Okay, why does this make me immediately want to do that? 😭 Did you use any materials for your Bible study?
