That was just Molly's personality. She was just a sweet kid that tried to see the best in everyone.
To be fair Keifer is good at playing the sweet boyfriend with the Davis and Kristina is in denial about how crappy he was and only praises him to Molly so she's going give him the benefit of the doubt

I dislike the way the writers killed creeper off the show. I wanted to see so much happen with that situation. I wanted Mr, Bower to admit that his son was actually an abusive little boy, that way he wouldn't be looking so dumb everytime he defended his son.
