Watching Oliver get over his fear (somewhat) of characters in real-time was so heartwarming! He could tell when big brother Jackson is excited, that he was safe and could be excited too! ❤
The real star of this video is Oliver- he worked through his emotions with the outstanding unconditional love and support of dad, mom and most of all Jackson. The characters did a great job reading situation and taking the clues from you all. Magical - just magical.

Hello beautiful family. Being a retired clown I noticed one thing on this video and wanted to share this with you. When 'Chip' got down on his knees then 'Oliver' wasn't scared. If a child looks scared I used to get down to their size and talk soft. I think 'Chip' deserves to huge hug for getting on his knees and going that extra step🩵🫂🩵Keep having fun my friends🪄

Yes! We LOVE the Garden Grill! All the produce is grown in the Living with the Land greenhouses and is (obviously) so fresh! 🌱🥬🥕🌽

Aww this was so cute! Bless Oliver’s little heart with those characters 🥰 It’s funny to me that Jackson didn’t care for the Mac n cheese with goldfish because Story said the same thing about it! And it really surprised me with how much she loves Mac n cheese!
We took my son to WDW when he was 4 and he liked the face characters but wanted nothing to do with the fur characters. We had breakfast at Cinderella’s castle and he told me he would like to dance with Cinderella. I asked Cinderella and she was ready to dance with him - then he chickened out. I was so bummed! He’s 28 now!

No one even dare argue that the biggest highlight and most adorable moment of this video is Oliver interacting and high fiving with Chip! Took a minute but even those moments are wonderful! I can't get over his smile. Its so heartwarming

Watching babies interact with the characters and clearly start to enjoy them in real time always makes me so weepy. Always reminds me of those 90s Disney World commercials where the little boy was begging his little brother to hurry and walk because "Mom says we can't go to Disney world until you walk" but then his first steps were at MK to hug Mickey 🥹🥹🥹

One reason I enjoy the family videos- the family interaction reminds me of the days my two daughters were this young- - Jenn with Oliver - Tim talking with Jackson- Jackson’s honest comments- Jenn playing games with boys- the support for each other- it brings me back to those challenging, wonderful days. I was exhausted most days but my heart was always full. Thank you for sharing and giving this person a hug.
A few videos ago Tim made fun of Jenn when she started with potatoes as her favorite part of a meal. This video Tim started with potatoes. Jenn smiled and looked at the camera. I died 😂💀

Chip understood the assignment on that nose game with Oliver!! We dined as a family at Garden Grill a few years ago and had a fantastic experience! Each character spent so much time at our table and stopped by so many times!
The parks on had a photopass person at the front for 1, like Daisy or Minnie or Pluto at the Poly. Oliver did a great job watching his brother and learning it was ok, it was great!
Loved seeing Oliver make new friends! I think he has chosen his favorite character! Team Chip!
We took our little one to Garden grill when she was a little older than Oliver and had a similar experience. Now she is 3 and loves them so this has me tempted to go back our next trip!
I’d like to add that I suffer from motion sickness and was able to eat at this restaurant without taking anything for my motion sickness. You really don’t notice the movement. I really loved watching Oliver getting used to the characters and Jackson is becoming a lovely young man.

I used to work with characters for kids' story times and the guidance we were told was this: the youngest kids are scared of the characters, the next oldest want to pet or hug the characters, and the next oldest want to be friends with and talk to the characters. Then they hit the questioning phase where they say things like, "I know there is a person in there! I can see their eyes through the mouth!"
All this to say that both kids are having age-appropriate reactions to characters and you guys handled it perfectly by letting them take the lead 😊

My son and Oliver are about the same age (I think they are about a month apart). My mama heart was so excited watching him smile, wave at and then finally high five Chip! 🥰
You guys are always so wonderful with respecting the kids' boundaries in the parks! My parents constantly pressured me at a young age to do things in the parks i wasnt comfortable with, this heals part of my soul. The boys are lucky to have you

I am very sensitive to motion and get sick easily but I was fine at Garden Grill. It’s so subtle that the only time I noticed it was stepping onto and off the dining floor. Good food and the characters were awesome.
Tim eating at Garden Grille is like redoing the Eclipse Start daylight then nighttime and back to daylight

We did garden grill for breakfast once, and it was pretty good. The extra large cinnamon roll was the best thing, although it was so sweet that it made my friend a little queasy. I don’t remember there being a photographer there, but there was one at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.

Not gonna lie; Garden Grill is one of our favorites! We were so impressed by the servers and the food quality! Since we also love Living with the Land, this restaurant really fits our bill!

Thanks for posting this video. My three kids are all grown, but our meal when they were little is one of my favorite memories. It was so nice to be all-you-can-eat brought to the table. It sometimes can be hard to juggle three kids and plates at a buffet. The characters were amazing when we were there, and at that time they brought out cupcakes with the sprinkles in a separate container…so the kids could “decorate” their own cupcakes. My kids loved that! It was the first time they had seen Mickey sprinkles. Thanks for sharing your time there creating memories and giving me the opportunity to remember some treasured ones of mine!
Photopass sometimes is offered BEFORE the dinner. We've had it in the past at Tusker House and Chef Mickey's and I'm sure Artist Point and Cinderella's Table offers it. I've never seen it available at Garden Grill or Crystal Palace, though.
Yes…we’ve had it at Chef Mickey’s before the meal and with the Beast at Be Our Guest after dinner.
This video is adorable, love seeing Jackson hug all the characters and it was so cute when Oliver warmed up to chip :) excited when Oliver gets older and he just goes crazy for characters

I think when we did the character dining in Norway many MANY years ago...I'm thinking about 15 years ago, we did have a photographer there. I remember the princesses signing the autograph books and then taking a posed picture.

Yess just did breakfast as garden grill for my birthday. Definitely recommend and the steak with ranchero Sauce was the best!!
Garden Grill is our favorite character meal. This year will be our sixth trip and we’ve gone to Garden Grill each trip. The characters spend so much time with each table and the food is great. Plus nothing beats hitting up Soarin and LWTL on a full stomach!
Garden grill will always have a special place in my heart: I used to hang out with the chipmunks when I worked for Disney and I would always want to work at garden grill because I felt like the character experience was the best as far as interactions go, also my friends would get to see the same guests multiple times which made it more special. ❤

The Garden Grill was great. Disney Magic at it's finest as they did something my mom NEVER COULD! They got me and my youngest sister to eat asparagus! I like the way they made it, steamed and lightly salted. I won't eat it any other way if I eat it now. LOL. I love, love, love honey butter. It's like the best stuff in the world.
One day we will put him down and let him walk in the parks and my mind flashed to Jen carrying Oliver and he is 35 years old saying can I get down and walk today mom? My mind does so strange sometimes. 😂

I went to the Garden Grill on a whim last year when I couldn't decide where to eat while at EPCOT. I was so surprised and its one of my favorite dining experiences
The hidden Mickey gave me Friends vibes. The episode where Rachel can't see her Baby during the scan 😅. I also couldn't see it Tim!

Loved this! We enjoy Garden Grill, but agree the green beans are not a hit! As a Grandmother, I was fixed on the boys and their reactions. So heartwarming, and I was cheering Oliver on! All in all, another fun video & you put a smile back on my face.
Oh, this place brings back memories! I haven't eaten there in years, but back during my CM days, it was one of my favorites because you got the best interactions. I even went there for my birthday a few times. I'm a former entertainment CM and was "friends with" the chipmunks- working this location was a lot of fun because you didn't have to rush. There was plenty of time to play with everyone. There used to be a roll of paper towels and a little watering can filled with crayons at every table, and sometimes the characters would just sit and draw with the kids for a while.
I love that fact that Jackson forgets that he has been doing character meals since he was able to be carried into the parks!

Awww Oliver really made great strides with the characters! I know that buffets give you more choice etc but I always think table service is easier as far as wrangling the kids goes.

HI Time and Jen -- Years ago Photo Pass Photographers took pictures and you could buy them at the end. Since that is not done anymore or not needed the photographers in the meals are gone.
I am not sure if they did this at Garden Grill but it was always done at Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus.
I wore overalls as a teen SO MUCH. I was obsessed. So now I'm gonna need these
What a fantastic dinner! I love how Oliver just kept looking over and seeing all the characters and then grabbing Jens arm when they got a little too close. Seeing him then warm up to Chip was adorable. We would love to eat at Garden Grill but dinner didn't look the best. Would you try breakfast? I can't remember if you have already with the kids.
