    Hey Alan….great video! Glad you survived the tree crash….you made the jumps look pretty easy.

      Your videos have really helped me learning to jump properly…..been riding about 25 years. I’m 63 so I need to be careful & learn good techniques.
      I’ve got a group of friends meeting at snow summit this coming Tuesday.
      If you’re up there it would be great to see you in the trails.
      Thanks again for the great content on TH-cam!

    This weekend was my first trip ever to a bike park! Super fun, tho idk if I’ll ever be able to do 10 ply lol

    • @mtb_alan
      @mtb_alan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heck yeah! Be careful or you'll become a park rat like me. 😂
      Yeah, 10 Ply is no joke, and I'm not gonna lie. I always gotta take some calming breathes every time I get ready to drop into that trail.
      But if you can get pretty comfortable with Miracle Mile, you might be ready to hit 10 Ply.

    Last year I kept using my short travel bike as an excuse. This year I have a long travel bike but I still haven’t hit them 😆. Maybe next year I’ll have a dh bike and need another excuse

    Hey Alan. I love the way you go into the mental process of tackling scary, unfamiliar stuff! Slightly off topic question here...what is the tamest way to exit Blue Steel and go the rest of the way down for beginners? I haven't been there in long time since they built it, and BS itself looks pretty well groomed and smooth.

    • @mtb_alan
      @mtb_alan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      As you come out of the woods in Blue Steel, where it starts to merge with Partywave, stay right. And after the trail merges with Partywave again, you’ll come to an open area where a lot of people stop. From there, go under the bridge. This will keep you on Bluesteel.
      You’ll traverse a bit and come to a split. Go right to head into Turtle which is the blue that will take you the rest of the way down.
      Hope that helps!
      I think I show this route on my Blue Steel video.
