as someone who watched Coaster Studios in its early days to have sarah and your parents in one video is full circle moment for me as a fan! proud of Taylor & Sarah for the work they put in!
Just looks like a bog standard gopro to me, they're okay in good light but it's still only modern phone level picture quality. Have you seen actual 8K footage from a real camera before to make this comparison?
Wow, I was at Busch Gardens the same day you were! Iron Gwazi is such a masterpiece of a roller coaster, my personal favorite and imo, the best RMC (or SV). The back row for this ride is a MUST DO 🔥
Somehow RMC manages to give a smoother experience on big coasters like Iron Gwazi than not so intense coasters like Phoenix Rising. You can get bigger and faster without feeling so wasted. Just like your mother said. That’s impressive.
I live about three hours away from Busch Gardens as well, but a different direction. Busch Gardens being my home park just warms my soul every time I think about it.
I'm 30 seconds in and this video is already so cute. My Mom doesn't even do coasters, but she's dying to get back to Busch Gardens to do the Giraffe Encounter.
I agree, I hate Iron Gwazi’s operations! My family was in line for food so me and my brother went to get in line cause it looked short, but we waited 50 minutes! Most of those waits would be under 30 minutes for Velocicoaster!
You’re lucky to still be able to enjoy coasters with your parents! You will miss that one day! 😢 I was still able to ride Nitro with my Dad in his late 60’s…🤘
My dad was 62 years old back in ‘79, when we rode Colossus at Magic Mountain together. Mom wasn’t very happy at all 😊 All I remember was dad saying “what a ride!” I’ll cherish that memory forever.
I'm gonna edit this so I don't make a bunch of different comments lol. 1. I've heard they have to dispatch slow to keep the ride from overshooting the breaks. However, idk how true that it. Also, they've got a lot of new ride ops(at Gwazi) 2. Scorpion closed because they didn't want to pay for a permit to be reinstated/get the maintenance required to keep it running. 3. All we know with Kumba is that B&M called and made them close it. We aren't sure what the issue is. One person told me it needs a track inspection, but that doesn't make sense because they were recently working on the lift hill(which aligns with a rumor that is more credible from the sources I have). 4. B&Ms new rides are rough because of the new wheel assemblies. They are cast as 1 piece. They also don't look like they have shock absorbers.
15:20 Truer words have never been spoken 😂. I’m 50 years old. When I was a younger man I could marathon Demon at SFGAm. Now I ride it once and I’m good the rest of the day.
What a fun video and I loved finally getting to see your parents (not sure how I hadn't seen them in anything until tonight). Tyler - Your parents are adorable and I love that they got to share some theme park fun with you guys! =)
I was hearing chatter that the lift motor on Kumba expired. I think they're waiting for a new one. I could be wrong, but that was from other chats and other sites... I love that ride. We were in Orlando about a week ago and the temps were quite chilly from Florida. SWO had medium crowds, but almost every coaster that day was a 1 or 2 train wait.
nanocoasters for example are 56 dollars PLUS tax, PLUS 5% surcharge, PLUS the optional tip! a nanocoaster at all other parks is $35 plus tax! absolutely insane prices at seaworld parks btw pretty sure kumba is just under annual maintenance. montu and cheetah hunt have also been down for a little while too but i don’t know why
Also, I FEEL you guys on the employee/food situation. So frustrating! I don't feel like I'm being an abusive guest and use "please" and "thank you" and the employees still treat me like I'm oppressing them!
BGT is my home park and I try to go about 3-4 times a week so I must’ve just missed you guys! I see Kalin all the time! He’s super chill. I’m sorry you had to deal with the horrible ride operations lol.
I went to BGT in august of 2023 and I noticed that the paint on Kumba was sort of washed out. Seeing it in the video looks so fresh. Not to mention what looks like a new entrance sign. That may be why it was closed. I did love the park so much though and the rollercoasters were all awesome including Iron Gwazi, and the others like Montu and Kumba.
iron gwazi my beloved :) when i visited orlando with my family they wanted a few days off to relax / shop and i decided "hell no!", so what i did was i forwent going to magic kingdom, and used the saved up money for a bgt season pass instead! with the free shuttle bus service having a pick up spot conveniently close to our hotel i would just walk to the bus, go to bgt, and come back like a 9-to-5 for 5 whole days hahaha!! i got plenty of amazing rides on ig and it's unequivocally my favorite coaster i've ridden 😅
Someone from CZECH REPUBLIC rode Pheonix Rising before you guys. You are slacking at your job, lol ... Loved having this over you for a whole month tho. 😂🩷 Those operations ... ooof. Energylandia would never!
Much love to Kaelin (sp?) I was on a work trip and made my first trip to BGT, but only had 4 hours, he gave me a front of the line pass for Gwazi and I managed to ride with him on both my rides.
If you guys think the operations are bad here, go to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, half the time you go there something is closed and when they are running it, they just take forever
Melissa is right. When you get older you definitely have to pace yourself on the coasters. I have to be very careful after Gatekeeper or Raptor. I got really bad motion sickness after back to back laps on Dominator when it was at Geauga Lake
Yeah, Scorpion being gone sucks. Wild Mouse was okay, just another Wild Mouse. But Scorpion was great. Glad I rode it last time I was there but upset they only gave us a week or two to ride before closing. Can't stand that crap.
@@jonny-b4954 I know it really sucks, Scorpion was actually really fun and really intense. I am so sad to see another Schwarzkopf go and I really font see why, they are so old yet hold their age so well and don't get rough or any of that. Its a classic ride there are few left of and I wanted it to stay. Wild Mouse was good and I think it was honestly pretty underrated, I loved that one. It sucks they give such the short notice before closing yeah.
Finally was able to do all the major Florida parks last week all the way from Belgium. Loved Iron Gwazi, think I might like it even more than Zadra! But Seaworld operations are among the worst ive ever seen. The funny part is that I did Europa Park 2 weeks prior and the contrast in operations was just frustrating haha. Still very nice parks though. Hope I can return soon enough. 🤩
I too was just there for a revisit, after spending two days at Universal, these operations are infuriatingly sllloooowwww! :(. I did get a ride on Gwazi with Kalin - just learning of his Gwazi accomplishments LOL
I live 30 minutes away from BG and feel so lucky to have so many great coasters in my home park. But good lord the operations are generally pretty bad on Iron Gwazi. I feel like the average load dispatch time is close to 3 minutes, regardless of the queue length. Other rides aren't significantly better, but I always seem to feel it with Gwazi since I'm excited to get on. Also nice to see Kalin still riding. I went to high school with him :D
I was a little sad when I went, we missed Kumba! I’m like the biggest Hulk fan ever so I was really looking forward to it, but it was shut down the day before we went!
Crazy it can take 3 hours to drive, Orlando and Tampa are 75 miles apart, in a very low population density, flat area. In Europe you'd be able to get a 1hr train really easily and it would be running every 15 mins
@CoasterStudios Florida really needs viable alternatives for car travel, as that's the only thing that alleviates traffic for those whom need to drive, hopefully it gets done at some point
I went to florida in october (and met frikking coaster studios at HHN!!) and we went to Busch gardens after the hurricane hit and gwazi was closed :((( I was so so sad, but I have more reason to come back!
When I went in June there were wasps at the top of Gwazi and also at the top of Sheikra. I'm unsure if they keep coming back or if they haven't fixed the infestation yet
Interesting to see B&M and Vekoma starting to swap spots in the industry. B&Ms are now starting to be rough and shaky from the start and Vekoma is smooth and overall making better, more impactful rides while innovating.
Love Iron Gwazi, I do think however the space it utilized was not used to its full potential there is a lot of land behind Iron Gwazi they could of used imagine a gigantic Dueling RMC Hybrid that properly duels unlike Twisted Colossus..
Last spring when I was in Florida I was so exited to ride iron gwazzi I got in line and half the station building line was a 45 minute wait it was painfully slow and honestly made me less excited for the ride.
The maximum status verification is way smaller than any other RMC in the world which unfortunately causes many guests to be turned away, slowing down operations even more. I wonder if this was the park or RMC that tightened the clearance on the lap bars and if it's actually necessary.
i'm a local and i recently cancelled my annual pass because of how frustrating it's been to visit lately. sad to see the direction the park has been going in :(
great vlog as always! visited busch gardens tampa with family over the summer and could not agree more about the food situation - i think we ate at the same location you did, had a similarly overpriced, slow, and underwhelming food experience. pinnacle of "theme park food". i felt bad for the employees but it felt pathetic, i used to work at an amusement park and it never felt as pathetic anywhere in my park as the dining area at busch gardens tampa
I just went to BGT on A Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Kumba was closed all three days, It's a real shame to see one of the best coasters in BGT going (probably)
BGT is one park that is great on empty days. but their ops are way too bad to go on busy days. It almost feels like no one is actually running the park lol
I tried my best to marathon gwazi last time i was there. I got 6 rides on it. It took hours with nearly no one at the park. It was overweight people and slow ops that slowed it down. I will say I would no way in hell ride something I barely fit in. I need a small break in between rides on ig anyway. Phoenix was surprisingly forceful. Way better ride than penguin trek.
There was one day I was riding with Kalin, and I got 53 rides, but somehow he got like 59, idek how he got that many more than me, we were basically on every train that we could but he just found the empty seats better than I did
as someone who watched Coaster Studios in its early days to have sarah and your parents in one video is full circle moment for me as a fan! proud of Taylor & Sarah for the work they put in!
It was so sweet to see them hugging at the end too! ❤
That's a cool Beatles shirt Taylor's dad is wearing!
TWICE did you notice he wore it in 2017
Getting Older - I agree. I'm 63 and I go on El toro once or twice and feel shot. When I was a teenager, I used to lap all the coasters for hours.
What amazes me is how good the weather is there in dec. You wearing all t-shirts, while here in Europe we wear three layers of clothes
Florida winters can be quite nice!
There's a reason there are so many parks there
The quality of your camera + the picture perfect Florida skies = 8k looking clean video
Just looks like a bog standard gopro to me, they're okay in good light but it's still only modern phone level picture quality. Have you seen actual 8K footage from a real camera before to make this comparison?
Meanwhile, I'm still trying to get my dad on my homepark's kiddie coaster 🤣
Kiddie coasters scare me more than any other
your parents are so awesome
This is great!!!! Your mom is adorable Taylor lol
8:26” no instead I am going to get both!” Sarah lol 😂 literally me!
I love seeing your families and friends. It makes this channel so wholesome.

In an era when parks up-charge to “skip the line” the emphasis on speedy dispatches and efficiency disappears
8:32 she almost flipped the table she was so happy
I'm 30 seconds in and this video is already so cute. My Mom doesn't even do coasters, but she's dying to get back to Busch Gardens to do the Giraffe Encounter.
Can’t believe Josh from Kings Dominion and Tempasta lady made it on Iron Gwazi
I was looking for a comment like this 😂
@ us longtime fans get it lol
I’m happy to see your mom and dad back in your videos.
Wow, this is my first vlog I watched from your channel and it didn't dissapoint!
welcome! we hope you stick around and check out some of our other fun vlogs we've posted from over the years!
@@CoasterStudios I will! 😁
I love how the pov for iron gwazi was pure chaos

It's absolutely relentless.

Going to BGT later this month! Excited to ride iron gwazi and phoenix rising for the first time!
One day ill get to ride iron gwazi, one day 😢
Taylor's dad: 😎😂😃
Taylor's mom: 😨😱💀
I love how I didn’t know the manufacturer of Phoenix Rising but one look at it and I was like … ah a B&M 🤣
The weird aftereffects are standard for an B&M 🤣
We saw you there that night but you were speed walking too quick 😂 so fun you got to ride with your parents!
I didn't realize you live in Orlando! Super cool. I had you guys roast my top 10 coasters on Cameo earlier this year which was a lot of fun!
glad you enjoyed the roast!

we didn't do Serengeti Flyer that day, as the lines in the park were very long and we had to prioritize
BGT is one park that is great on empty days. but their ops are way too bad to go on busy days.
