Super. The owner will be the star at gatherings. 👍👍👍
I love that look , beautiful bug
Cool.
You should also let the rings seat in if they need be - could help with the case breathing issues.
Nice
copper pipes and compression fittings in place of the hoses would look sweet
Yes! I did aluminum hard lines for the breathers on my last engine. Looked rad. This one is intended to look as minimal as possible. The Black hoses dissappear into the back corners so all you really see is the breather itself. It looks way better in person.
Looks super nice! 🤙 🇺🇸
Brutal install but that car is 🔥
Looks great 👍
Nice and clean man.
Is there any type of baffling in the tube or is it just open inside?
The drivers side gets a TON of oil - the passenger gets way way less. Should of used both of the DOWN spouts to let the oil flow out . doing the way you did is going to cause issues with the flow out against the massive flow up from the valve cover. Probably will also need to get the air breather on the side allow it to be as high as possible. hanging down is going to take on a lot of oil.
Is the tube chambered??? or just a tube?
There's an inner and outer tube. I ended up putting both on the bottom and the filters on the ends, side I connected the alt breather as well.
hey brother, i got a 66 bug im about to restore, id love to know where you got your fan shroud set up from, does it include the fan /alternator?
That's a kit from bergmannvw.net. it comes with the shroud and the alt/pulleys. You need to ask for the 3 smaller pieces to be added. The whole kit is around $2k plus shipping. Be sure to tell him you saw it on OldVolkstv/VolksMania Magazine!
LOve it!
Very nice looking breather, but it seems like the vent should have been on the top.... Get you a fan to move some air.. Your car reminds me of my 68.. It was metallic chocolate brown.. i sure miss that bug... Thx for taking us along on the breather installation... Take care...
