I feel like this track has a sad tone to it, it makes you feel of what may happen to the innocent people if Aya doesn't kill the NMC, it also makes you think of the sad fate of the creature/animal before Eve turned it into the monster.
I can hear it between 31 to 36 second mark. It shares a series of notes with some of the tracks/themes from FF7. You'll hear it on many tracks, but the one that I can definitely place is the Mako Reactor theme I believe. Overall I don't consider it to have sadness to it I don't believe. I think it's more pensive/stress/confusion/overwhelmed. Just my opinion.
The first time I played I felt the melancholy of the song when Sheeva transformed. I didn’t want to hurt her, but it was a mercy after the monstrosity she morphed into.
Ah yes. For me, this song resonates the most with Day 3 at the police station. Goddamn that was frustrating, but I love this game despite that bad experience my first playthrough.
Yup.....that dog....that was the moment I figured out the atb speed difference between rifles and handguns.... Game is 25 years old....and I still play it occasionally
So you're talking a leisurely stroll in a snow-covered park at night, when all the sudden.... this plays as you enter a big square area. Then it's like "oh crap..." Yup. It's BOSS TIME. This time, a huge worm that splits itself into 3 parts IIRC.
You know damn well your shit was about to get fucked up when this song started
“ There are 3 targets!”
Major goosebumps 🫶🏼🫶🏼

I don't feel a sad tone at all tbh...

@@Kuro-MoriWell as we learned from Melissa Pearce as soon as you transform you're dead.

Yeah, that poor dog was turned into a fucking 3 headed monster
Toughest boss of the game for me
One of the dopest boss battle themes of the playstation 1 era.
Hell yeah it is.
Man, I like to imagine a TV show or remake made out of this game and waiting for an epic moment when this song would start to kick in.
Sheeva! Sit girl!
Saddest boss fight
Sounds kind of like a Devil May Cry theme.
The T-Rex… The most hard battle of the game 😵
May I introduce you to a little thing called “liberation”?
COCKROACH
@@skittles536 Too bad it completely blows away your entire PE bar.
T-Rex fight...hard yes? Impossible, no. Liberation is one way, the AT-4 launcher is the second way
Nah the centipede is the most hard
-aya shoots
-numbers start rolling on the screen

Such an underrated, underestimated game and soundtrack.
Why do you think so? It was not internet era then it was released, just imagine so many people still remember it, after almost 30 years.
And It was not released in Europe. Many people dont know the game there. I am from Germany and bought it from the US.
