Such a dignified man who has his mates back.. the way George had his. Their rise to fame, journey and amicable parting to take their own paths was and still is a breath of fresh air. No bitterness, greed or hate. Just two lads living the best lives and looking out for each other.. the way it should be, but rarely is ❤ xx
I think he and George are the only successful music artists I have seen that never let the media make them hate each other. George always knew he would have been nobody without Andrew and Andrew just loved his friend and seeing his continued success. That's super rare.
Well said. I’ve never heard either one of them ever say a disparaging word about the other. In fact, you can see them both actually protecting and defending one another in interviews from the 80s. Their true friendship survived it all, including superstardom. Rare indeed.
You're speaking facts! Plus George had wanted to do a reunion tour with Andrew who declined but they remained friends and whenever George would tour his town, he would always stay at Andrew's castle.
Absolutely. He gave George the confidence to be the pop star he was and even co-wrote some of the early songs for Wham!, and planted the inspiration for "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go". He was more than just "the other guy". Without Andrew, there would be no George.
Well george was the one with the musical talent but without Andrew even George knew he probably woukd not have been famous .....Andrew gave him that motivation george never denied that!!!!! I am a long time fan ....long time
He is so very sweet and soft spoken, he seems like such a genuinely kind hearted person. This was a great interview. I'm glad to see my first childhood crush is doing alright. Much love from the states!🤗💜
Andrew, I love George Michael and at the time of Wham I didn't realize how George modeled himself after you. In retrospect I realize what a wonderful and genuine genuine
Absolutely loved the Netflix documentary, I found myself singing along to all the Wham songs. Wham! Was really about a deep and beautiful friendship and one of the most healthy and supportive relationships among stars I've ever seen. To go from the ring leader to a cheerleader took real humility and love on Andrew's part and it shows that there would never have been a “George Michael” if there hadn’t been Andrew there giving him support and confidence along the way.
Just finished watching the Wham doc. on Netflix, Andrew Ridgley is one classy guy and was a supportive friend to George. Loved George as a solo artist and with Andrew as Wham.
I'm so blessed to have grown up in the 80s. I loved WHAM! then and still love them 40 years later. ❤️ My husband and I LOVED the doc and we had fun reminiscing. Thanks for the memories 🥰
I watched WHAM! on Netflix and never knew how much Andrew had an absolute stellar influence on George's evolution. I followed George all his career but knew nothing about Andrew but I can categorically state that without Andrew I don't think George would have happened. I have such a deep respect for Andrew now and I also feel his ambitions and goals with music got cut short with George's decision to go solo but hey much respect to Andrew 🕊️
I would love to see Andrew do a virtual gig, especially if he'll do some of his numbers from his solo album "Son Of Albert". It was sad to see him get torn to shreds by the critics and fellow musicians over it at the time, but attitudes have mellowed over the years.
What a lovely man. Back in the 80’s my sister’s adoration for wham put me off a bit. But i still find their silly 80’s tunes comforting in this batshit crazy apocalyptic world post 2019
I can see why Andrew and George were good friends because they were both intelligent, classy, humble and loyal. Everything about their partnership just worked. The bottom line is without Andrew we wouldn't have known George the way we do!
Hard to believe how articulate Andrew Ridgeley really is. Calm, controlled and considerate to boot and this is not just from this interview but many interviews that I have viewed in the last few weeks. So un-Wham like really - there is a real depth and education behind the frivolity and fun-lovoing nature of Wham.
One of the best interviews of the current round with Andrew. He's such a nice guy, generous to his friend to the end. I think we all perked up when the idea of a Wham virtual live show was discussed. It. Would. Be. Perfect !!!
That would be awesome. Avatar versions of George, Andrew, Shirlie, Pepsi and Dee C in their prime. Complete with wardobe changes from leather jackets to the Choose Life t-shirts.
Wham! is a WONDERFUL documentary! Bittersweet without George! 😔 But, its still worth seeing if you love Wham! and/or George Michael. Thank you Andrew Ridgeley for sharing these informative stories! It's incredible to know George was an awkward kid in need of a friend like Andrew. I can relate. Certain people really do change your life forever! Much love and appreciation! ❤️
This guy is a class act. Turns out he was the strongest of the two. Love George Michael but I feel Andrew was just as important and was the backbone of wham. We come to realize he might still be around if he would of kept Andrew in his corner. No matter how big ya get. You still need friends to lean on. RIP George Michael……..
I’m a 90s baby but i always knew who George Michael was but i never knew of wham or Andrew until now, I’ve watched the documentary on Netflix like 6 times already their music and videos give off such fun and good vibes i can’t explain it ❤ and andrews eyes Omj he was and still is beautiful as well as George rip 😢 i actually had a dream about wham last night lol guess i watched the docu too much
Andrew is the best friend a man can have. He's the Buddha of pop. Eventhough when people misunderstand and underestimated and judged him, he was detached and at peace. No anger, no hate, no jealousy, only good will towards George. He kept George's secret well. When george was gone, he came out to honour him
Asking how Andrew Ridgeley felt about being overlooked and George Michael getting all the attention, then spending most of the interview asking about George Michael. 🤦 Nice journalism. 😒
Love their friendship, even after the split of Wham! Andrew really was George’s support system, family and tongue in cheek companion. So thankful they were in each others lives since their youth. That is what the magic of Wham! is. It shall forever be imprinted in the 80’s. ❤ ♥️ 😍🥰😘🤩🌟✨👑⚜️💎🏆
I love Andrew and have since the beginning of Wham! He seems to be such a gentleman now too. Everyone needs a friend like him. As for the hologram concert……take my money! I’m 100% there 😂
I really like Andrew's solo effort Son of Albert (and Curt Smith's Soul on Board). I finally got the cd long box of Son of Albert. I remember seeing it for the 1st time in our mall in 1990. it still has the parental explicit warning label on it. Too cool!!!
Would absolutely love to see virtual reality Wham!! Bring it on!! ❤xxx Enjoyed every moment of the Wham documentary, all kinds of emotions whilst watching this😊 very much so toward the end ....they always knew they were there for each other even years later..xxx
Mr. Andrew is a ascended master he is such an old soul! His journey with Michael was soul plan.Brothers to raise vibration if planet. With new doco people know their story and their music is in for front when we need it most.Young ones can know how magical. They are.🌞😇💙🦄
I liked this interview! On a below, it seems maybe my question could have been a possibility! Miss George with Andrew. Two great men and very cool mates! Bless you Andrew and I do hope George estate and you can agree to do a musical of Wham!
George did not have to compete with the other artists he was in a league of his own George did not want to be Michael Jackson Michael Jackson wasn't able to go out practically George Michael did atleast live in England where he was able to have some privacy bless him so I am glad he had that and the family and friends who were in his life before he was famous and Andrew was a very important person Andrew had experienced fame with George and so he understood in ways others didn't how George Faith Era was great but I can understand how it wore on him
OMGGGG that would be TERRIFIC the two together again. I love love how Andrew says "Yog" and he is the only one with that right 😂 Plus he has so much class. Love you Andrew and thanks for the music of my youth but that I keep listening still today 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yo no escribo en Inglés pero igual le envió saludos a Andrews y lo felicito por ese proyecto y es i interesante ya que la tecnología hay que ponerla a prueba par ver
You know I see Andrew interviews and instead of watching and listening to what Andrew has done in his life the interviewer always pulls in George's name and want to know about him. Who are we interviewing George or Andrew? What are some life times goals does Andrew wants? I😮 don't hear too much of this. Sad to say he will always be second fiddle to George. Don't get me wrong George is very intelligent and writes good music too, but i want to get to know more about Andrew.
Can anyone help me. I want to reach out to Andrew, to ask him; was there ever a consideration in him maybe being George, co manger. I know Andrew had his own life however, George needed him and Andrew knew him so well. It also would've kept Andrew working with George. Andrew, would that opportunity been too much? I just feel if you guys were still working together, George probably would've not made some of his off choices.
We could all do with a friend like Andrew Ridgeley. What a class act. A true gentleman.
Absolutely.. Amen
I said that too after watching the documentary. I'm also with Andrew in that I miss George.

You're speaking facts! Plus George had wanted to do a reunion tour with Andrew who declined but they remained friends and whenever George would tour his town, he would always stay at Andrew's castle.
I'm glad this is a Wham! Doc, and not just George. Andrew deserves more recognition than he gets.
Agreed
Absolutely. He gave George the confidence to be the pop star he was and even co-wrote some of the early songs for Wham!, and planted the inspiration for "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go". He was more than just "the other guy". Without Andrew, there would be no George.
Andrew doesnt have a good voice
Well george was the one with the musical talent but without Andrew even George knew he probably woukd not have been famous .....Andrew gave him that motivation george never denied that!!!!! I am a long time fan ....long time
No he doesn't, George carried him...
Andrew, you were a true friend and that type of friendship is hard to find!
I could listen to him for hours such an eloquent speaker
He is so very sweet and soft spoken, he seems like such a genuinely kind hearted person. This was a great interview. I'm glad to see my first childhood crush is doing alright. Much love from the states!🤗💜
Andrew, I love George Michael and at the time of Wham I didn't realize how George modeled himself after you. In retrospect I realize what a wonderful and genuine genuine
Friend you were/are. Without you I don't believe George would have had the confidence to have a solo career. You are a wonderful man!
Absolutely loved the Netflix documentary, I found myself singing along to all the Wham songs. Wham! To go from the ring leader to a cheerleader took real humility and love on Andrew's part and it shows that there would never have been a “George Michael” if there hadn’t been Andrew there giving him support and confidence along the way.
Yes, Andrew is the best friend & support that everyone needs in this world! He's just so kind to George. ❤
So nice you could also see the pain and upset in his eye's when he speaks about his dear friend George 😢
No words can describe this man, other than an extraordinary, kind hearted gentleman
what a beautiful soul... he is so elegant and kind. I feel like they were both so blessed to have each other
Love to hear about the friendship between Andrew and George! It truly was a down to earth collaborative musical match
Just finished watching the Wham doc. on Netflix, Andrew Ridgley is one classy guy and was a supportive friend to George. Loved George as a solo artist and with Andrew as Wham.

You are so lucky my age is 12 and l wish lm live in 80s
I watched WHAM! on Netflix and never knew how much Andrew had an absolute stellar influence on George's evolution. This is the best interview I've seen with Andrew, such thoughtful questions.
True friendship and fun when they were just friends at school. What a wonderful experience they had with Wham's success
So genuine about his buddy. Lovely
I would love to see Andrew do a virtual gig, especially if he'll do some of his numbers from his solo album "Son Of Albert". It was sad to see him get torn to shreds by the critics and fellow musicians over it at the time, but attitudes have mellowed over the years.

bet that's how my brother feels right now haha
Very emotional, just like the documentary.
I can see why Andrew and George were good friends because they were both intelligent, classy, humble and loyal. Everything about their partnership just worked. The bottom line is without Andrew we wouldn't have known George the way we do!
The mere fact he calls George by his birth names and proper pronunciation, is a true friend.
A true class act. Such a humble, decent chap.
Hard to believe how articulate Andrew Ridgeley really is. Calm, controlled and considerate to boot and this is not just from this interview but many interviews that I have viewed in the last few weeks. Andrew is quite respectful and protective of George.

I'd love an interview where they ask Andrew about HIM and what he's doing or what he thinks/thought.
Yes i know
I watched Wham! today.... it brought back so many treasured memories!!!! Thanks George & Andrew for making the 80's just so much more amazing!!
He's well-spoken
This guy is a class act.
Turns out he was the strongest of the two.
Love George Michael but I feel Andrew was just as important and was the backbone of wham.
We come to realize he might still be around if he would of kept Andrew in his corner. No matter how big ya get. You still need friends to lean on.
RIP George Michael……..
Andrew was always my favorite! I drew a huge portrait of him for a high school art project. Love you forever Andrew!
Just disgusting how the media treated Andrew. He is and will always be an important part of Wham.
I'm glad he's getting the recognition he should have had all these years.
I’m a 90s baby but i always knew who George Michael was but i never knew of wham or Andrew until now, I’ve watched the documentary on Netflix like 6 times already their music and videos give off such fun and good vibes i can’t explain it ❤ and andrews eyes Omj he was and still is beautiful as well as George rip 😢 i actually had a dream about wham last night lol guess i watched the docu too much
I can’t explain why I love this man so much. I believe it’s because of the reason for Wham’s existence!

Omg, I just loved Wham and George the 1st time I saw them, miss George so much and all the music he could have made. Thx Andrew, love you too
Such a wonderful friend. ❤️ George Michael was very lucky to have had such a good friend in Andrew. ❤
What a friend.
Same old Andrew, time seems paused and in peace with this wonderful kind person.
I was obsessed with WHAM! When i was a youngster. Good to see A. R. doing well n looking Great. ❤❤❤
What an elegant man. Blessings! Namaste🙏💞
Love their friendship, even after the split of Wham! Andrew really was George’s support system, family and tongue in cheek companion. So thankful they were in each others lives since their youth. That is what the magic of Wham! is. It shall forever be imprinted in the 80’s. ❤ ♥️ 😍🥰😘🤩🌟✨👑⚜️💎🏆
love of my life and proud what he did during Wham and after for Yog💕💯
Brothers a class act
I would love to see a concert with him and George but i would cry like a baby. Rip
Andy was a very good friend ❤❤❤
I've always loved Andrew❤
What a lovely interview.
Can somebody here have a friend just like andrew to george? 😢❤ what a sweet person andrew is ❤❤❤
I love Andrew and have since the beginning of Wham! He seems to be such a gentleman now too. Everyone needs a friend like him. As for the hologram concert……take my money! I’m 100% there 😂
It was pure fate what these young boys were to become ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And Yes George said himself many times none of it would've been possible without Andrew
Если есть такой друг как Эндрю,это находка,здоровье тебе друг..
So bloody handsome ❤
Very informative I see Andrew in a different humbling perspective now and realise he was a rock to George x
Let the dead rest in peace.
I really like Andrew's solo effort Son of Albert (and Curt Smith's Soul on Board). I finally got the cd long box of Son of Albert. I remember seeing it for the 1st time in our mall in 1990. it still has the parental explicit warning label on it. Too cool!!!

✌🏼🙋🏼♀️👍🏻💞beautiful interview.
The man has always worn some nice jumpers.
Just watched the Wham documentary on Netflix. Was good!
it sucks how george passed away
I think it was a possible suicide. It's just crazy cause he passed on Christmas and last Christmas is one of wham top 2 famous songs
@@JangoBlader WRONG!
Last Christmas was my favorite 😊
George had nothing but great words for Andrew and gave him lots of credit. That's all we need to know.. Piers Morgan needs to review his statements.
Piers Morgan is nothing but an oxygen thief.
Love Andrew x
Wonderful interview. 💜

Andrew you are a Gem.
I just love this!
well said andrew xx
Love from India Andrew ❤
Unique human being... special man ... always love you❤grettings from Athens ❤❤❤
I hope they do!
AR is the man!
He hasn't changed a bit since the 80s.
He's still milking off George's death
Amen!
No virtual Wham, please. Let us have our memories. Apart from that, I love Andrew.
It would at least be more exciting than if George had lived and they would have trotted themselves out at 60.
Yo no escribo en Inglés pero igual le envió saludos a Andrews y lo felicito por ese proyecto y es i interesante ya que la tecnología hay que ponerla a prueba par ver
Catch me at the wham hologram concert in the future!!:?:?:
Thanks to Netflix too👍👌. Wham ! ❤ So Good 💥💯💥💯 Miss 🌬🕯
Don’t you dare make a virtual show. Leave Wham in its prime of the 80s. This would be a money grab.
A money grab would be a living George and Andrew doing Wham! concerts at 60. This at least would be more innovative like the documentary was.
The report should be about he's considering concert . And what is about George Michael
You are important to George and the true fans Andrew ignore trolls love the lovelies got your back!
Wish she would have asked Andrew about Andrew. It was all about George.
I always had the impression that Andrew was a bit of a hanger-on and would pretty much vanish from the pop scene once George went solo.
Try the representative on Google that should help
So you wanted him to ignore his life and what made him happy because of George..
wow !!! WHAM 🎶Last Christmas 🎶 懐かしい過ぎるゥ 年末から 夫婦と 友達ご夫婦で スキー場で
聴いてたわぁ~ あかん 泣ける🤍🤍🤍
I remember way back you took my best friend
George always gave andrew the respect and appreciated andrew so much he gave him a million for the success of careless whispers
Why is the picture so dark, go buy some lights
Andrew Ridgley has transformed to being Black after appearing White in the 80s.
What fantastic nice man.
