Think again. San andreas release on 2004. Many features. Not like a gta 3 / gta vc / gta vc stories/ gta liberty city. In 3D universe GTA SA is the best for the graphics and many features

Almost every thing in gta 5 was planned to be added to gta sa and much more but due to limitations of ps2 that was just impossible

You know it's a damn good game if you have to compare it to another game which came out a decade later and it still is on par with it...
San Andreas and V are both extremely good games. It just all depends on what you like in games. Like extremely high detail then probably go with GTA V. Like a great storyline then go with San Andreas
I believe the storyline is good in both games, tis just left on the one who is interested to start playing the one they like first. However one thing I have to say about San Andreas is that its map felt wayy bigger as compared to GTA 5 for some reason. Travelling through San Andreas felt like travelling from city to city.
