I can’t get excited over the MDX since it looks boring but it is just so practical and full of features, especially for the age. None of its competitors were as fast, fuel efficient, reliable and capable with 4x4 lo gear, 7 seats, huge cargo, backup camera, etc. This video does a great job really showing all the features with no fluff. I may have to get one of these, I keep cross shopping it with the RX and QX4 but the mdx easily beats them on the tangibles
Just got my 2005 MDX, and like yours it came with a ton of highway miles on it. I wasn't scared away by the high mileage as the car was otherwise mint. Nice steel blue metallic with ebony interior. Your videos helped me make an informed decision. Still rides so smooth! Love this car! Love watching your vids. Great job, thanks a lot!
Yes, it actually has. And, I agree, the engine is jsut so amazing! Once its revving up really high, when the transmission changes gear, and the engine speed goes down really quickly it makes a wonderful "Whooomh," noise. And, yes, the stereo is just absolutely amazing! It really is.
so funny watching a video like this from 10 years ago... the music and look of the vehicle compared to what look like today. looking into buying an 05 or 06 now once i found out about the earlier model years weren't as reliable and the updated motor. heard some concerns over the trans tho.
excellent review. am in the market for this right now. am excited as i usually get sports cars but am not willing to for go on certain things. safety is what got me for this. outstanding compared to others of these years. iihs markings are one of the best.
Any Acura MDX owners out there? I was thinking about getting a 2005 MDX, but it only takes premium... have any of you put in regular? Are there any negative effects besides the drop in performance?
***** I've been using regular fuel for 10 years and 140,000 miles, and it runs great. No negative effects as far as i can tell and the performance drop is very small
Matthew Hurley Smh no disrespect to your comment but if you have a issue putting in regular Mabe a premium luxury vehicle isn't for you I'm just saying it's just mind-boggling when people ask those type of questions why can it take take regular gas because it's not recommended
It will definitely have a chance to misfire or knock these older mdx dont have the new tech with variable timing. They just stay in one timing setting with them old school timing belts. I tried on my mdx and it would make it knock a lil but when i put premium back in there was no probs.
@@bromajik5183 what are you talking about..? Its a fkn HONDA, they are you claiming its a luxury item? Why tf would it require 91+ octane when they know its a $.40-80 premium for that fucking fuel. Fuck people like you man- and the douchebags who develop engines with such asinine requirements.
Nice MDX, but something that's sad to me is that our 2012 CR-V has the same Navigation system. Really Honda? Really? The crappy graphics are the only thing we don't like about the car.
You have to program each phone number individually so that way when you hit call someone so it will ask you if you want to call that number and you say yes you have to program it through hands free link with Bluetooth on the side of your steering wheel
There’s an AV input in the back, so I got an AV to Aux cable, and bought a Bluetooth receiver to plug into that. If you want more info, just lemme know!
Probably the best car review I've ever watched. No BS, just plain facts. Great job and thanks!

Rakshan Sadasivuni: the av input you are referring too is the one with 3inputs (red, white and yellow)? If not where exactly.
