38 years later, CAN still can.
Absolutely!
Just came here for their song on inherent vice and I fell in love with this band
@Diego Vitamin C.
I wonder how many people have done that, Carlos. Glad you found your way to the party.
Jaki in great form
Just got a tinny phone to listen on.... It's amazing... The Jacki bounce comes across.
This version of Chain Reaction is really really really really excellent!!!
Irmin Schmidt is great on Citrus. This band is one of the best, all time. Haven't heard this all yet, but it sounds like Can on really good form.
Magical mystery music!!!
1:16 oh yeahhh!
we remain west. that reminds me golden key plaka athens 1975
geil ..........
RIP: Michael Karoli
RIP: Malcolm Mooney
RIP: Jacki Liebezeit
RIP: Holger Czukay
Only Irmin Schmidt left with Damo Suzuky... They did not live long but what they did is unforgettable!
Malcolm Mooney is very much ALIVE
Nope my friend, he died in the 90's like Karoli
You are wrong, my friend. Why do you insist on making a false claim?? He played a bar by my house a couple years ago. We have friends in common. Why don't you use the internet and look it up? Here he is in 2010: th-cam.com/video/nVDjn-IgT9I/w-d-xo.html Here he is in 2015: th-cam.com/video/ij6hDFVqINw/w-d-xo.html Here he is with Thurston Moore in 2017: th-cam.com/video/30JwG4YSF2c/w-d-xo.html .
Malcolm Mooney is alive.
tumultus101 Haha, yes. Rosko is alive too.
I'm willing to bet the great jazz bassist Charlie Haden listened to this. The progression at 31:30 is the same as the end of "Sunday at the Hillcrest," which came out on Haden's "In Angel City" 12 years later. th-cam.com/video/2ENsBvGBtRY/w-d-xo.htmlm39s
Holger, RIP, you were the Nazz, with god-given Glove, rocking the eternal rhythm section wirh Jaki now beyond the Pearly Gates
I wonder to what degree they are improvising...they sound like they're really winging it and it sounds killer.
Rich Latta l
Just about everything they ever did is improvised although there are song structures here as the basis at times
The legend I heard is they were lent a castle in Coln for a couple of years and developed that ability to improvise together by endlessly playing and living together until they could build the music quite tightly...then they had JAKI of course @!!
The only reference point they had live were the keys and chords from the original songs. But based on that, most riffs and melodies are improvised.
Can live albums are GOLD
CAN is fantastic!
Excellent ! ! !... Lyon is my city !....and I'm proud to know Can played in my town haha !... thanks
VERY VERY GOOD ALL....................................................
Can with Roskoe Gee AND Reebop Kawaku-Wa from Trafic on the rythmn section .
Obrigado por partilhar este maravilhoso material. :)
Thank you animal collective to introduce me to the music of this legendary band
wow!! Jessica that you love can or can love or have both bands in your quiver is great!!What a kool chick!!Love your style
Sucked in a black hole to a parallell universe where God is beyond God
.
New to me...txs for sharing 🌠🌠🌠
I think the track list is wrong. At about 10 minutes, it sounds like Bel Air.
J'y étais !!!
Je suis né en 1993, je précise.
LÄCKS MI AM SCHÄUBLI !
IST DAS GEIL ODER IST DAS GEIL ?
JA ODER JA ? :D
Deutsche Doors
But I missing D. Suzuki...
Yes...
Can, always.....can.
Yes! My words!
Jaki Liebezeit was always... steady.
Is Thaiga Raj Raja Ratnam really on vocals? It sounds like Michael Karoli is singing here.
apparently that's him on 'One More Night'.
Who else likes listening to this while doing chores?!
Hello, I can help you with your chores :)
Dude... really?
?
I do Keeps me going with the cleaning, Kefira.
METEN MIEDITO ....
omfg. genius.
Merci Jessica!! Incroyable..
Nothing but
...lost damo....
Nice concert, and I have one for you all, that i recorded/mixed for Radio in the UK in 76. I will put the encore up first as a test. Been trying to get a responce from Spoon on and off for years to get it out, but they are just not interested, so TH-cams gain.
Where is it?
David Pike Hi Dave, thanks for prompt, will get the audio on soon.....
groovyjohne can one of my favourite groups of all time..lucky enough to see them 4 or 5 times..first in 73 with damo. .Some mind expanding times indeed. .
+groovyjohne Hi John, any chance I can hear this too?
+David Pike Lucky guy.
Red Hot Indians is proto "Lord, Give Us More Money"
Great finding!
Lord give us more is just the ultimate evolution of the "don't turn the light on and leave me alone" chord sequence. A constant remix.
@@frenchguitarguy1091 True, and at the same time it's reminiscent of Bel Air. It's really bizarre how each song that they regularly played changed by a bit with each concert. One will definitely notice it once you listened to the concerts chronologically. Like a living organism, each time a new experience.
do you want a picture for the artwork ?
Ja!
marvelous!
