    the fact that he came out with $20 before even looking at the vehicle tells you his plan all along, there really is a lot of bad people with sketchy intentions in the service business ..

      I can attest this was a situation where it made me think they were out to get me!

    I had a woman ask me about my prices. I messaged her the price list and she told me she couldn’t afford it and that she was retired. I just said okay have a nice day! She then proceeds to insult me and my business and threaten that she would tell everyone that we don’t care about seniors to hurt my business. I apologized but told her I’m a luxury business and I don’t work for less. Then she says she wants the full interior detail. I ghosted her, it wasn’t worth it

    dump the vacuum contents in the drivers seat and go home without pay. let him figure it out from there. bet he won't try to scam anyone else after that.

    I would told him what the package included & not included. Communication is the key to avoid all the BS. But sometime you the run into customers who don’t have any common sense once in awhile.

      Great input. Fortunately, the only time I had to deal with something like that, was this particular situation. However, I did learn a thing or two from it. Thanks for watching!

      I agree. That is what I use to charge when I first jumped into the business - 3 years ago.

    You handle this with true professional ways and calmness. In the future you should take payment prior to the job. Also you should have all your options on paper with no misunderstanding for future clients. If I was a car detailer like you in this position that client may have trouble walking after stiffing me for payment after the great job you did. Smile move forward and learn the valuable lesson from this experience.

    You definitely need to talk with your lawyer to create a contract form that the customer signs before starting the work. Also take pictures of the outside and inside.

    It’s your choice of words…. $45 is a deluxe wash not a detail. When you say “Detail” generally means a more detailed car cleaning. With the specific car detailing as in the definition of the word DETAIL.

    • @startingtech3900
      @startingtech3900 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah that was a basic cleaning not detail

    People are pathetic sometimes. I worked as an auto A/C technician for about twenty years and nobody wanted to pay for the parts to have their cars air conditioning fixed. So I finally got to the point where I just explained to them that air conditioning was a luxury and maybe they couldn’t afford the cost of having luxuries in their lives, immediately after I told them that they ALWAYS paid up to prove that they can afford luxuries..lol 😝
    People are nuts!

    What are the most common payment methods customers use in your experience

    • @detailingbeyondlimits
      @detailingbeyondlimits  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question, definitely digital payment services such as zelle and venmo, sometimes cashapp but I probably take more card payment than cashapp. Cash isn’t unusual but most pay through a digital form of payment.

    If you've been around a while, then you can tell when someone is trying to play you. It's not worth your time to deal with them. For those people just quote a really high price, and they'll walk away.

    Yo one time I took a job from a passer byer also instead of the traditional way (phone, text, email) and he gave me address. I ended up washing the wrong car bro he switched up a couple numbers in his address. Still grinded 100%

    You have a big van, put the prices on both side of the panels with magnetic board, so in casa one day prices increase it would be easy to change.

    Nothing is free. Your time and skill set have too account for something. Probably wanted the cheapest thing he could find. Back when I was doing lawns. If they walked and wanted same day. I would ask the what exactly to you want. Then I would give the a high rate.
