    1:27 It definitely will NOT have a bacon neck issue. The T shirt appears to have a bound collar; the specific purpose of this is to give stability that other rib crew neck T shirts lack.

      Can confirm. Coming up on a year and it’s still holding up nicely.

    Why is it soooo hard to find t-shirts now with thick, wide ribbed collar and sits on the base of the neck or higher? The current fad is thin, skinny as_ collars that droop below the neck base and expose the shoulder. Worst combo. My Gap t-shirts are just like that and I regret having bought 2 pairs. The t in this video has a bit of a width to the collar but look how they sloppily show your shoulder. Are you ok with this? Your thoughts on this nonsense with t-shirt collars nowadays?

    • @ChrisRawls
      @ChrisRawls  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol you're totally right. The trend does seem to be exposing the neck base for some reason. Those drop shoulder shirts are wildly popular right now. I've had that same problem in the past. I don't mind the look of the shoulders much, but I do prefer a thicker collar for sure. It makes the shirt feel more premium and lasts longer.

    • @errffadurff
      @errffadurff 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right on man. I don't understand what's with the current fad. Everything droopier, lower, sloppier. Which is a nightmare for a short guy. If I could go back in time, I would buy 10 pairs of jeans from the 90s because every thing is low rise now. And t-shirts back then were thicker quality, not just on the collar but overall. A $5 Old Navy pair was much higher quality shirt from when ON first started out then what they are now. ON is full of now cheap polyester blends that easily stretch out. I upgraded to Gap but damn, still dissapointed. Hey Chris, any way to do a video on t-shirt collection/brands that do tighter, thicker brimmed collar, but at the same time not boxy?

    Greetings, this video is really helpful; have you tried the supima ones? If you have, which size do you buy?

    • @ChrisRawls
      @ChrisRawls  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I got the supima in a medium as well. They do fit a lot more snug than these and the sleeves are shorter too of course.

    how does this shirt hold after a year of washing? Does it fade already and lose its shape? thanks

    • @ChrisRawls
      @ChrisRawls  ปีที่แล้ว

      Has faded lightly but hasn't shrank. No bacon neck either. I do wish it was a bit longer though. That seems to be a common problem with Uniqlo shirts.

    Hey Chris, have u tried machine drying any of ur Uniqlo T-shirts? U crew, supima, oversized and dry color, any of those? I just bought a whole bunch and haven’t washed them yet cause I’m not sure whether to machine or air dry them. Could use some advice

    • @ChrisRawls
      @ChrisRawls  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Supima and airism tees I have. Air dry is always going to be your best bet. I think the instructions say to do low heat or tumble dry. The supima shrank a bit but the airism hasn't.

    Is it good for the gym ?

    • @ChrisRawls
      @ChrisRawls  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, not really. The cotton is a pretty heavy weight, so you'll get hot, and sweat is really noticeable. They dry relatively fast, but for the gym, Uniqlo has better options. Take a look at their Airism line or the Dry-ex shirts. They're about the same price as these shirts, but a lighter weight and dry much better.
