I love my Gyres and getting ready to setup a Waterbed 130.4 and a lowboy 80 gallon. If I end up needing some more equipment I might give these a try. Everything looks amazing in your system. Flow and lighting both see on point especially with the Torches and LPS on bottom and primarily SPS. Im in love with your fish. That powder blue is so gorgeous and thick!
I love my maxspect gyres but hate that I have to clean them every 3 months to get the most of them. I use them one on each end of an 8 ft tank so the dirtier they get the very noticeable the loss of flow and power. The fact that they all work together is obviously because they are all within the same company umbrella. It is nice of course but I wish more products would work well together.
@@twinsreef6107 i have a love hate relationship with the mp40. I have 3. 1 is loud. The 2nd is medium sound and the 3rd is silent. If you don't mind Cleaning them more often, I'd say the gyres but I do love that the mp40 can easily replace wet side with clean one and Clean the used one when you have time vs immediately.
I use a gyre at the end of a 6ft peninsula tank pushing the surface towards the weir. Works great. The Orbit one looks very interesting and would go well with the 3 x 66in blades I run
I had the redsea gyers and they lasted all of 6 months so I went back to Neros. If these would have been out would have picked them up for sure. Reliability and serviceability is what is important. I'm sure these have both.
Really beautiful tank as always. I've been gravitating to AI's pumps away from MP40's so this is very interesting. How long is your frag tank if you don't mind sharing?

Heka random, but what would you recommend gyre style pumps , or mp40??

What's the thickness of the dry side and what's the thickness of your glass?
5/8 on 4 foot tank, not sure about the thickness of the dry side
