Smiling friends is the perfect show to watch when you're just hanging out smoking weed and filling your belly with diet soda while playing burnout revenge for the PS2
Little bit of an explanation: The guy who shows up in Season 2, Episode 1 has his name revealed in the post-credits scene- it's "James." He mentions it while looking at the photo of him and Charlie together. Now, remember back to the Cameo that Gwimbly made... who was it for? "James from Idaho" That's the same James. At the end of the Cameo, he requests that Gwimbly tell Tyler to "go to Hell." But it doesn't stop there... Who was the Smiling Friends employee that Mr. Boss had to let go, the one who Charlie met for drinks after work? His name was "Tyler." James was extremely furious about Gwimbly not getting a sequel, which is why he was still following Gwimbly on his social media accounts. There's context clues in his room that point to him being a gamer (different Funko pops of various gaming characters) and you can see that he punched out the monitor to his computer. Tyler was supposed to help him feel better after the cancellation of a long-awaited sequel, but Tyler clearly got let go because he couldn't make James smile- he was devastated on behalf of Gwimbly. James shows up to Smiling Friends HQ after scheduling a Cameo to be recorded there (maybe he stream-sniped to find the location) in hopes of not only dealing with the Tyler situation, but maybe also meeting Gwimbly in hopes of it making him smile. Nothing goes right for James in the episode and it's honestly a misunderstood tragedy for him. 🤣 But yeah, James is like _peak_ parasocial relationship. Don't be like James. Touch grass before you get to the point of being like James.
I doubt they are the same character. James sees Gwimbly when he arrives at the Smiling Friends office. He physically sees him. If he were looking for Gwimbly, he would go to Gwimbly then and there. Instead, he actively chooses to walk into the offices. And we see James before in the first season at the office halloween party. With a vastly different design, yes, but I think those are supposed to be the same person. My theory is that James works for the Smiling Friends as a Quality Assurance officer. He evaluates the workers at Smiling Friends. That's why he never smiles. Because he has to test how far the worker would go. Today was Charlie's turn. I'm amazed at how many people side with the employee restocking the shelves! The show clearly shows the employee at fault here by being rude to a customer that being Alan. All Alan was going to do was just ask where he can find some paperclips. A very simple question that anybody could answer while simultaneously doing their task whatever it may be!
I agree lol. As someone who has to deal with customers if someone asks me a question I just give them an answer, even if I'm doing something, the employee there was rude and escalated for no reason. There's also a good chance dealing with customers and being nice IS a part of his job

An Allen Adventure is honestly my favorite episode in this show for a many reasons. Allen is my favorite of the Smiling Friends so a dedicated episode for him is great, the Landlord is peak comedy in the stupidest way possible and I quote him daily, the mixture of mundanity and intense action with no in between is hilarious and exactly what I watch Smiling Friends for.
Between the helicopter chase/bigfoot/skeleton pirates/leviathan/Mr landlord animations, this episode has the best and most varied animation of the series I'd say. It's one of my favorites too. Maybe we'll get a Glep episode next.
I heard that whenever they find illegal material on a hard drive, they tend to just say they had as much illegal material as there is space on the hard drive. Not sure if it's true, but it may be way less illegal material than you see listed on the news. I know it's a pedantic detail, but it makes the cases ever so slightly less upsetting when there's less of the material.
Nah they have to go through all of it. They have special agents that do that. Supposedly they get super depressed and suicidal and have to be rotated out frequently. The exact amount though would be classified evidence that don't get to the news.

I will cry tears of joy if alesia reacts to some oneyplays compilations plus it would help her understand some of the inside jokes and things like that and understand where the comedy and Insanity comes from for the show I'd highly recommend like a best of hypotheticals compilation or best of stories compilation or even just funniest moments compilation they're all good oneyplays fans need more people to react to them there's so few reactions to them and I think they just need more

And during Moneo's test, Leto basically talks him into smoking spice, filling his belly with DIET cola (of the Dr. Yueh variety) and playing Burnout: Kanly for the Pee-Ess-Twooooo.
