Sir, you have just solved a problem that 50 other videos tied up in convoluted mess. I just wanted to find a converter to connect my b&o speakers to my new samsung 4k. Got lost in the jungle of hdmi audio extractors and hdmi to red yellow white rca cables😂
And nothing about more important things! Does it have volume memory after loosing the power? Is it possible to control volume with tv remote via the hdmi earc?
This product is NOT compatible with newer Visio and Roku TVs. Let the buyer beware. The volume control with the TV remote does not function. Sound will pass across but true compatibility it is not.

Iam currently trying to connect a Samson xp 1000 to my new Samsung tv that only has optical and HDMI. Is this what I need? Would it work?

can i use this to my old pioneer avr with prologic decoding? and eventually outputted 5.1 sorround sound?
The DA-25 will take ARC/eARC signal from a TV/Projector and convert it to Analog RCA for stereo output. It will not work the other way around.

Did you set the audio out on your TV to PCM mode.
