The movie's plot is Bruce discovers that the Thai ice factory he works at is actually a drug smuggling operation with heroin hidden inside the blocks of ice. Which was why the syndicate members are trying to kill him for discovering their secret. The weapons they are using are tools that old ice factories use like hand saws, ice picks, ice hooks and pincers for dragging the huge blocks of ice across the floor.

Tony Ja scenes from Ong Bak, excuse spelling. I met John Saxon from Enter the Dragon and many other films at a martial arts show. He invited me and my brother to a private seminar and gave me an official numbered and signed booklet. He said to me after we had our photo took, "keep that son, it'll be worth some money when I die". RIP John, I enjoyed meeting you and your seminar.

This Bruce Lee movie the big boss was his first movie in a downtown Chicago movie theater around 1971. Then Bruce Lee Chinese Connection movie came out around 1972, and Bruce Lee movie with Chuck Norris, The Way of The Dragon came out next. The Bruce Lee Enter The Dragon came out August 1973. I was extremely upset the Academy Awards Oscars television show did not mention Bruce Lee's enter the Dragon movie during the 1974 Academy Awards TV program.

The main character (JeeJa Yanin) grows up watching hong kong martial arts movies and actually mimics Tony Jaa, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan in each of her fights, which includes rooftop, meat factory, ice factory, and warehouse fights. It's absolutely amazing!

  • @arconeagain

I believe, in The Big Boss, the guy he fought at the end originally had the lead roll in the film. Then Bruce came along, his first film. He took the lead roll and also took over choreography and even direction with the camera work. This film is what led to his success, I think it broke box office records over there. It's my favourite of all Bruce Lee films because it's an artistic picture.
With Jacky, you have to see Fearless Hyena, released under another title in the US I think. You have to see it from start to finish because of the progression of his skills. And it's funny at times.

The 70's were rough with explicit movie violence. There was a movie released about the Salem witch trials called "Mark Of The Devil" that showed such vile and horrific torture scenes that the ticket seller handed you a barf bag for every ticket sold. After a while it was banned in the United States. I saw a small part of it in the theater. Mostly I just looked away or covered my eyes.

Apart from the scene with the saw, they also cut other fight scenes, such as the guy behind him in the blue shirt who is going to hit him, suddenly he is in front of him after the saw and kicks him.lucky those who saw the film without any cut 2 weeks before its normal release on Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings.there were probably other scenes being filmed that were not included at all or were simply not filmed.

to see more of your Bruce Lee reaction videos to say, The Green Hornet tv show from the 1960’s, the O’ Hara/Lee fight in Enter The Dragon and the opening fight with Samo Hung in the same film. Also, the climactic final 15 minutes when Bruce Lee enters the Japanese martial arts school at the very end of Fist of Fury/The Chinese Connection.

Lots of fun this movie. Given the background of Bruce's character and how out of control his character gets during fights they easily could have named the Big Boss :fists of fury". But I will say Fists of Fury one of my fav Bruce Lee movies.

Max, back in the 70's when the Bruce Lee films came to the UK they were classed as an X Certificate (18 and over) and even then the censors removed alot of the ultra violent content and it was many years later that those violent scenes were restored when Bruce's films came out on video.
