Indonesia consists of 38 provinces. within the Central Java Province there are 3 sultanates : Yogyakarta (Jogja), Surakarta ( 1 - Pakubuwono & 2 - Mangkunegara). the shooting location of Anggun's video clip was most probably Mangkunegara headed by a very young Sultan who is very receptive on modern era as long as it does not alter any of the sacred traditional javanese palace etiquette. waljinah sang since she was very young. her elder brother had a tranditional keroncong band (javanese music group). she won many singing competition (javanese songs) and later became the keroncong icon in Indonesia. she wrote many keroncong tunes and along her career was rewarded a series of recognition from the javanese sultanates on her dedication and endless contribution to nurture the javanese keroncong music. anggun's mother is a descendant of the Yogyakarta sultanate circle, so anggun is well seasoned on the royal etiquette & cultural routines. in general, all javanese people (both royals n commoners) are taught strict etiquette since they can talk n walk. i.e. not suppose to call people by name without "respect prefix" before their names i.e. grands, uncle xxx, aunty, older/younger brother/sister, mister/madam etc. this explains why anggun sort of kneel down when singing with waljinah (an elder lady who needs to be respected and being in a sultanate premises tops it all). younger family members or guests will never initiate a conversation with the elders - they'll stay silent and only speak when asked a question by elders. handshakes are not common unless initiated by elders (who usually just nod their head).
