More than tempted, I am getting one soon as it shows up in the online shops I buy from or better, in a shop near me. I also hope ICM releases this in 1/32 scale, because like you Alex, I am into prototype aircraft and a larger model of this will really stand out in the display case. Cheers. 😊
I do wish more modeling videos were build videos. Videos like this one are extremely helpful in the decision of whether to buy or not to buy. If this kit was 1/48 I'd buy.
Nice build. As an aircraft, what a crazy concept, not surprising it never got beyond prototype. Visibility must have been terrible, and all that engineering to deliver such a paltry payload, assuming the crew could even see enough to deliver the payload. This was to compete with the Henschel 129, crazy, what a waste of time, money and effort. At least the A version, with its greenhouse crew compartment, made sense in the reconnaissance or spotter role.
@@nheather I think the idea was, "well, we already make something that would sort of work for this role, we just need to tweak it a bit", without really thinking the overall concept through properly!
Apologies... wrong thread/video but (loosely - ICM )related qn: I asked about thinning ICM paint in the live chat - you replied but the chat comments have disappeared and I can't remember what you said... you mentioned using screenwash with a caveat what was that? And that Iso alchol was OK up to a point... how much? Is de-ionised water ok? Generally I use vallejo - have just bought ICM and a bit of revell for brush work... what are the thinners I should use?
I just got my ICM paints today and thinned them with Tamiya acrylic thinners. They worked fine for me. That 80 paint set on Amazon at $100 has to be the bargain of the year.
Hi, are you using new overhead camera or angle? Dont think I will be a fan….. Did you say models don’t have swastikas on them?? I have never noticed so feeling a little foolish right now. I wish all models came in top opening boxes! I feel the other styles often contain an inferior product?! I feel you are a very good modeller, do you consider yourself to be a modeller or assembler? Quiet a debate the other day on this matter, I am in the assembler corner. I realise I am all over the place but do you not use ‘sprugo’ anymore? Watching you demonstrate making it was one of my early experiences of you and your channel. I had never heard of the stuff before!! Fascinating!! Horrible aircraft wonderfully built! Bob England
It must be hard to design an aircraft that looks horrible from any angle. Not built any new ICM kits as there hasn't been any that I really want but they do in general appear to be decent kits. Really like the review and build format even if there was no paint involved (unlike this one). Seeing the construction helps particularly if highlight quirks or areas that need some care.
Anyone who has an issue with the markings on historically correct WW2 aircraft should get the out of the hobby. There is no snivelling in model building.
@@thebobloblawshow8832 well, that's not really true, the swastika is still a symbol appropriated by facists and racists today, and millions died because of the ideology, so I can very much understand the position, even if its not one I hold
Are you tempted by ICMs Fw-189 prototype? Let me know in the comments below....

@@johndillon8051 Glad you like the format!
If it was 1/48 scale I'd be interested as well.

Yes, I'm highly tempted.
looks great the subject isnt really my cup of tea but i am tempted to buy.
Really cool. 🛩

I see the use of Extra Thin glue. For the life of me I cannot get good adhesion w the same type of strokes I see used.
@@mr.dougadams6436 what plastic are you using it on?
